I’m fond of food trucks. There are lots of bonuses of it: 1) Fresh and warm food. 2) Super-fast service. 3) Average prices, you can order big portions a spend up to $ 10. 4) Economy of money and time. 5) Very convenient to but food. Me and my friends love to buy food here. They make amazing hot dogs, the SIZE is incredibly big. It’s enough to eat 1 and you stomach is full. I like to come here and try something new, they have a diverse menu. I recommend.

This place was just outside Boondocks last night and we were feeling adventurous. The guys in the truck were very nice and answered all the questions that we had. It was the best food I had in a long time, I had the Koagie dog I would have never thought to put an egg on it but it blew my mind. My boyfriend had the poboy and he wants to go back again tonight for more. Next time we will take pictures I was just to taken back by its goodness this time. The food was gorgeous almost to pretty to eat but I couldn’t stop shoveling it in my mouth.

These Korean dogs are really surprisingly good! I just went with their namesake Koagie dog which consists of ribeye, green onions, slaw, spicy mayo, and fried egg(oh yes, please!). I could never say no to runny yolk when I’m mixing it with the buns and the perfectly seasoned meat. And biting into it probably inched me closer to having a cardiac attack, but I can tell you that it was worth it. Every bit. The only thing is that the prices are a bit high. This one dog set me back by $ 7.50. Coming from a food truck, that’s pretty exorbitant. And perhaps the only reason why it doesn’t get a full 5 stars with all of my confidence in my book. But if you asked me if I would order it again? I may. I might. And probably yes. And that’s my guilty pleasure speaking.

I’ve visited a few times since they first started but I always order the same thing, the regular koagie. It’s not the best cheesesteak in Houston, but it is one of the better ones. These are smaller than your average small cheesesteak but come with a decent amount of meat. I still feel they are slightly overpriced for what you get though. The first few bites are great but then the blandness starts taking over toward the end. I never taste the spicy mayo, maybe they just dont put enough on the bread. One of the greatest things about food trucks is their convenience. I always see this truck parked by Anvil and it seems to be open quite a bit too.

Best food truck after a night out party! Sandwiches are so tasty that they’ll melt in your mouth, and fries are crispy and topped with cheese. Make no mistake, stop by KH to get the most exciting food in the area past midnight.

So I tried this for the first time at the buffalo bayou grand festival and the food was great! I had the koagie(ribeye) with the kimchi fries and I must say it was quite delicious. The service was great and we got the food pretty fast! I would say it is a bit pricey(2 sandwiches, 1 kimchi fries, 1 water bottle for $ 32) but the food was very tasty so not too much of a gripe on my part. I really hope they expand the menu just a bit because they have a lot of potential to be great! I would highly recommend trying the food!

Thanks, Koagie Hots. You’re finally open when you say you are, $ 23 for a sandwich, fries and an avo-dog, get it home and the bread is stale for both the sandwich and the dog. Why? We all know when bread is crap, yet you serve it. You’re either not fit to know fresh food or don’t care. Either way, get with it or pull the plug. You’re hacks.

So, this is a vegetarian review only: their veggie dog is not so good. But, their fries, toppings, and other stuff is a-okay. For an ex-CIA agent, I thought it was ok and would eat there again, especially if drunk. But, sober, the veggie dog could have done better.

Food was very yummy. Big fan of hot dogs and these definitely hit the spot. Found them on Unilocal and decided to grab something quick when I got off work. Friendly staff and great food. Would definitely be a returning customer.

It’s too bad this place is usually only open late at night because I would love to eat here more often. The korn dog is excellent. I have bad memories of mushy elementary school corn dogs, but the beer-batter korn dog here is completely the opposite: a thin, crispy crust over a juicy beef hot dog. The slightly sweet sauce and scallions are a perfect flavor complement to the crispy, salty dog. The kimchi fries are some of the best loaded fries I’ve had. The kimchi is only mildly fermented, but that just adds a refreshing flavor and crunch to the golden fries. Surprisingly, the feta, one of my least favorite cheeses, adds a lovely salty flavor and texture that perfectly complements the kimchi. The first time we came here, we showed up at 8pm because that was the opening time noted on their Facebook page. However, they had a delayed opening that day, and we did not end up receiving our food until 45 minutes later. Because of the extended wait time, we received a free extra order of kimchi fries, which was very thoughtful of them.

$ 7.50 for a hot dog, but it was a delicious hot dog. The Avo Dog = A fat dog with avocado, feta, bacon, spicy mustard. YUM! Tastes even better after midnight. You know what I mean. I will be back to try the koagie.

This place definitely didn’t live up to all the hype! Granted. I did have it at a fest. I ordered the avo dog at free press summer fest. The service was pretty good. About what you expect for a food truck. Didn’t take too long to receive my dog. First impression. Seemed pretty small and lacking as much topping as I was expecting. The flavor of the dog was just alright. Kinda just one step above a basic hot dog. It was covered with guac and feta. Which were nice but I could do that at home? I wouldn’t go out seeking this place. It was convenient for the fest. But I doubt I’ll have it again. Good dog is where it’s at!

In the third round by way of knockout: Koagie Hots over Pappa Geno’s. Best Philly Cheese Steak in town. What are my qualifications you ask? No, I’m not from Philly, nor have I ever been(I don’t see why you’d want to go there). However, I do have the taste buds of a 40 pound overweight 26 year old. Make a trip to Koagie Hots – you’ll go back a 2nd time.

Their kimchi kogies are really hard to beat when your stomach starts grumbling. They get 5 stars from me, for executing what I think is one of the best late night food options after a bar run. They’re conveniently located just outside of Anvil Bar & Refuge and across the street from the new and popular Stones Throw. Glorified drunk food, but very, very, well done. Besides the signature kogies, they also offer hot dogs, corn dogs and fries all served with a kimchi, spicy mayo, etc. twist. The kimchi itself is a good, not too spicy but just right, recipe and provides that great acid component to the otherwise savory entrees. When you’ve tied a couple on, and are looking for the perfect late night bite, make sure to keep this truck in mind.

While at the Houston Food Truck event I bought an order of Kimchi Fry’s today. My friends have told me about the virtues of kimchi frys and I was excited to have the opportunity to try some. I really liked the kimchi frys and I’d absolutely order some again but it’s not an item I’ll be craving. Koagie’s put some diced green onions and cubes of feta cheese on top of the frys and they weren’t drenched in any seasoning or sauce like another order of kimchi frys we tried today from a different vendor(name excluded to protect the innocent).

Really good cheesesteak! You can tell they use quality meet. I really enjoyed the cheese, onions and bun. I would definitely try them again! My only complaint is that the cheesesteak is quite small foe the price. I know that they have to make a profit but I would prefer a bigger sandwich for the price! Great cheesesteak though!

This place is delicious. Boyfriend and I both got the Kimchi Koagie and were so impressed at how good it was. While it’s not«cheap» it’s a great value for the amount of meat you get. The photos Unilocalers have posted can give you an idea. We can’t wait to go back and try the Kimchi fries. Definitely was happy they were open late-night, as we had just arrived back from the airport and were starving. Check this place out if you like any time up Korean Fusion. It’s a good place to go if you like Chilantro and it’s not in town. Yes, I’m starting to know my food trucks. Enjoy!

Not going to lie, I came here after drinking quite a bit at various bars around Montrose, but they definitely had some great drunchies food. My friends and I split their kimchi fries, and it was really delicious! I was pleasantly surprised, not expecting fries using«Wiz cheese» to be all that great. But ‘lo and behold! The wiz cheese was actually the best part. The reason I give them 3 stars and not 4 though is that the portion of the fries is really small; it’s about 1⁄3 less than what you would get at Oh My Gogi! Also, the like gets really long at about 1:50AM. So if you’re wanting a late night snack, try to get there before closing time or be prepared to wait about 20+ minutes.
