Sales person misguided us during frame selection for my wife’s prescription sunglasses. The lens fitment was affected due to it and it looked horrible. Little value for the money paid. The sales person did not even offer any solutions to the problem and plainly left it at «it is what it is». They also forgot to include the glasses cleaning cloth in the case. We will not go back to this store.

Not sure why these other reviews are so negative. But here’s my experience: I came in on a Wednesday evening for some new eyeglasses. I had brought my prescription(from another optometrist), found a pair of Oakley frames that I liked, and went on to order them. The associate that helped me applied a $ 50 off coupon that they had in their system. Very generous of her. Sure she tried to sell me on what she could, but what salesperson doesn’t? And I must say that the lab technician was extremely friendly and helpful as well(there was some confusion with my prescription so he had to come out and help out with making sense of it). So I got a text Saturday saying they were ready, which was really fast considering I was told 7 – 10 business days on Wednesday and my lenses were the 1.74AR high-index and my prescription is pretty strong at like a –6.(For those who don’t know, high-index lenses are much more thinner than the regular plastic lenses). After some adjusting and with some help from the same lab technician again, I walked out with my new Oakley frames feeling very satisfied with my purchase. Looking back I probably could have settled for the 1.67AR high-index lenses for a bit cheaper(but a little thicker), but I didn’t really know at the time what would have been best. I was also willing to invest in the best quality eye glasses as it’s been a few years that I got some. They are so thin and all of the plastic lenses I’ve had in the past have been much much thicker. Now I feel very comfortable that I have a nice thin pair of lenses fitted in my sleek Oakley frames. I would recommend that you do your research before you walk in so that you know what you want and what you are paying for. Anyways, I would definitely recommend LensCrafters. The Oakley frames I looked at weren’t priced at a mark up and with my insurance and with that $ 50 coupon I don’t think I could have done much better anywhere else. I even went across the street to another retailer, but the Oakley frames were like $ 100 more!!! I was also set on Oakley’s and not everyone carries them, so my options were a bit limited. But LensCrafters has a very wide selection of popular brands. Sure I could have traveled around Houston searching for the best deal, but I felt very comfortable with the price I got at LensCrafters. I even looked at some popular online retailers but even those prices weren’t really beating what I got here. And you don’t get in-person customer service online.

These people are horrible! They don’t know what they are doing! The one at Memorial City is much better.

Well i had an eye appt at 12:15 at the optometrist right next door. Got through quickly brought my prescription over and just wanted new lenses put in my old frames. They warned me that my glasses may break. No problem they were just wasting space anyway. They did break. We came back and I gave them the glasses on my face because I really didn’t have money for everything today and couldn’t afford new frames. They told me there shouldn’t be an issue, took the frames and I told them I would be in the mall shopping around blind without glasses. After an hour and a half I go back to find that they broke my second pair too and took the liberty of picking me out a pair of glasses. They were gold and cheap looking and just wretched. I was humiliated to have to even try them on. They could have called me to tell me that they broke my other glasses and I would have just bought new frames. So we picked out new frames, that they comped for me. It was going to be another hour and a half but I could wear the gold ones until they got my new ones done. So we left and came back and about one hour and fifteen minutes later I called and asked if my glasses were ready and I was told yes they were. I left my friend in the car and ran in and they were not ready. I was told it would be another 30 minute wait. It was now 6:10. Are you kidding me? But the saving grace of this whole place was Israel. He works there and is just so sweet. While this location lacks customer service and communication in general, Israel really went out of his way to make sure I got the glasses I wanted and helped get me out of there. Who knows how long it would have been if it wasn’t for him. Thank you so much Israel! If I could give Israel a seperate star rating I would give him 5 stars.

3WORDS. DON’T GOHERE. I never write reviews, but I had to in order to warn people of this LensCrafters. Picked and paid for my glasses around Jan 4, and I STILL have not received them(currently Jan 24). Called the store 3 times to TRY to get some information about my glasses, but they always put me on hold and was told«we will help you shortly». Their service is horrible and if you ask for anything, expect to wait around 30 minutes. I simply asked them to ship them to my dorm at college a week ago, and I called to ask if they were on their way, and they hadn’t even shipped it yet. It seems like nobody at that store can do anything in a timely fashion. Although I do sound like an angry customer because of a bad situation, my brother is experiencing the same thing with his glasses that he ordered the same time as me. I realized I’m not the only one experiencing their HORRIBLE service. Please. do NOT. go here to purchase your glasses.

Very unorganized. You walk in and it is hard to tell who works there and who is a customer. I dropped off my script for new glasses on a Monday. I was told they would be ready in a couple of days. On Saturday I called and a lady answered sounding stressed out saying they would call me back because they were busy with customers. 3 hours later I called back and they said they would be ready Tuesday the latest. On Wednesday I went to pick them up and surprise not ready. They told me they would upgrade and be ready later that day. I go back to get them and they can’t find them. Finally, they are found. So, long story short Lense Crafters had previously entered in my script wrong on 3 pairs I had purchased on sale and that’s why I was getting a new pair.(Which hi paid for) So finally glasses are ready and they have a crack /scratch in them. I go to take them back today and as soon as I walk in the older man that works there lets out a huge sigh and says«someone will be with you all in a minute… This is what happens when someone does not show up.» The lobby is full and of course, they all seemed stressed out. I just left without my glasses and can’t see and I have a migraine. They have my glasses and said they would call me when they are ready. We shall see!(Literally)

I guess the prices are reasonable, I have not done a lot of compare shopping to be sure, HOWEVER the wait is absolutely ludicrous. As I am writing this it’s a Tuesday afternoon on lunch break and there are 2 people running the store while 10 people wait on pickups. They keep apologizing saying«if only you had come by 30 min ago there would be no wait!» Teehee! Um no lady how about you hire some teenagers needing a summer job and staff more efficiently?

I use these guys because their prices are more reasonable than eyemasters and today’s vision. Just don’t go during the weekend, the place looks like a bomb exploded and you will be searching awhile till you find what you want.
