I JUST ate at this place and boy do I regret it. The food was crappy, over priced and tasted nothing like what I was used to. I know it’s mall food, but they really need to make some adjustments. NOTRECOMENDED.

D-I-S-G-U-S-T-I-N-G! I love chinese food. I even like mall chinese food. I don’t know what it is about this location, because the Manchu Wok in Willowbrook Mall is pretty good(for what it is) and it has only been a few months since I’ve last had it. This was the second time I’ve received inedible food from the Memorial City Mall location. I guess I thought the first time was a fluke, but my last visit confirms that this location is just terrible, not to mention super expensive for mall food. I paid almost $ 11 for the smaller combo plate and a tea. The luncheon specials at both my favorite Chinese restaurants are less than that and they come with more food! The entire meal was wasted and went straight into the trash bin after one bite of each item. Yuck!

Okay, it is mall food. But I don’t have to pay for crap and niether do you guys. I ordered a 2 entrée plate with chow mein and two different kinds of chicken. The chow mein was gross and oily and one of my orders of chicken was not chicken. I’m not saying it was cat… I’m saying they didn’t give me meat at all. I think it was the sesame chicken which has chunks of various veggies in it. I only got veggies. I ordered chicken and got veggies instead. My mother also ordered there. They tried charging her five bucks for two and half strips of sweet and sour chicken. When my mom opened her box at check out and shouted, «Why is their only and little bit!?» The cashier tried to appease her… by giving her another strip of chicken. Notice how that is singular… not plural.

OK normally I wouldn’t waste my time on this but I write poor reviews when I think I’ve just been grossly wronged. I asked to try the sesame chicken. They stirred it up, and gave me a piece from the bottom(which is why I think it was hot when I tried it). Then I decided on the sesame chicken, some noodles, and an eggroll. I also got a drink. Fine. My friend and I sat down and my friend commented that the food wasn’t even hot. I agreed. After about a minute of debating, we decided to complain. I told them that the food wasn’t hot. The guy asked if I wanted him to make a new batch, and I said no, for fear that they would spit in it, since I can’t see them making the food. Then he calls over some other lady. The lady proceeds to accuse us of trying to get over, stating that she«saw» us sitting there«for a long time.» First off, I’m a law student. I can’t be associated with any wrongful activity, therefore I would not go up and complain if I had unclean hands. I did nothing wrong. Second, the lady was just a crazy liar. While telling us that we were trying to get over, she wasn’t even looking at us; obviously a sign of lying. I don’t even really have to address that because we know we weren’t lying and there would be no reason for us to pay for our food, NOTEATIT, then sit there and get our money back. We could have just not gotten the food at all. So anyway, I told her not to go there and to quit lying. She gave us our money back(which wasn’t at all the amount I paid but I was too furious to protest) and then I proceeded to tell her that she needs to speak to her customers with respect if she expects someone to give that establishment his or her money. As I told her off, she looked down with a nervous grin on her face, which only made me even more mad. OK, I didn’t expect the food to be awesome. It wasn’t. But I DO expect people to be respectful. When you work in the food business, you know there’s a chance someone will be dissatisfied, and you are to conduct yourself in a professional manner at that point. We could have walked away quietly if she had just given us our money and kept her mouth shut with those lies. Never.again. EXCUSEME for not wanting to eat cold food that’s been sitting there for God-knows how long. I’m not trying to get food poisoning out here, and thanks to our complaint, I won’t. PS. Beware that Oishii, which is next to it, is run by the same woman. Don’t eat there either.
