Always delish. PadThai is a favorite. Try the King and I fish dish, super tomato based sauce ontop fried rice. We always like the garlic eggplant. The green curry is spicier than I like, but has great flavor. Like the red curry better.

This is my go to place for my pad Thai cravings! It’s yummy and usually I ask for some spicy Thai peppers to be added to it which adds a nice kick! The other stuff on their menu I can pass but definitely good for a quick fix!

Another not good meal in Houston. We should have known when the other 2 Thai places nearby had 45 min waits and they were empty. The food came literally one dish every 10 minutes. Appetizers, entrees, didn’t matter. It came when it came. The first 2 people were done eating before our food came.(4 plus 1 toddler) . The food was very very so so. Egg drop soup on a Thai menu? OK… Let’s get a cup to start our son. There was no soup. It was like a cup of scrambled eggs. My Chu Chee fish looked like boiled fish in some brown soup. I couldn’t do it. I’m so so so sad that our original Thai destination had a 45 wait and it was already past our son’s dinner time.

NOTE: I only ever get takeout from this place, because the atmosphere is totally lacking. Best items: *Tiger Cried: incredible chargrilled beef with an indescribably awesome basil/pesto/hot sauce thing. Scrumptious. *Shrimp Curry: their curry sauce is a little different from other places, very brothy and buttery and extremely delicious. Fresh snow peas, tomatoes, and green beans come with! *Putt-See-You: flat noodles smothered in some kind of delicious garlicky sauce and loaded with broccoli. Definitely my go to when I want a night in with a bottle of wine. All in all, reasonably priced Thai food that you can take home with you!

Moved back in town and quality has dropped drastically. Tofu had a freezer burn taste, meat portion in fried rice was small. Crispy basil snapper was not as good as it used to be. Basil is all wilted and uncrispy.

Awful Place! We were celebrating my co-worker’s birthday and we decided to go to his favorite place, well as soon as we arrived I saw a roach crawling out the wall and guess what? when everyone start eating one of my friends were stunning to see a roach inside her tea(nasty!). At this point everyone stop eating and the manager dont even stop by our table to apologize. So good luck guys if you decide to visit this place.

I stopped here for lunch the other day. The place was pretty empty for lunch and I was able to park right by the front door. We walked in and were seated right away. The service was friendly and attentive. We started out with the pork dumplings. They were really tasty. I eat a lot of pork dumpling and these were super good. They tasted fresh made, and I would definitely get them again. For my meal I got the pad thai with chicken. It was tasty and I definitely enjoyed it. The serving was gigantic. I was not able finish even half of it. My gf’s serving was similar in size, and she could not finish half of hers either. I defiantly recommend splitting an entrée. The meal was reasonably priced and they have good lunch specials. I would totally go back.

No, no, NO! This place is wrong on so many levels. You can usually judge a place by how packed it is at lunch. Here? maybe 5 tables going. Why is this? well, lets see: 1) Service sucks — sit anywhere I like? great! tick tock. where is my waiter? 2) Oh you need a menu? so sorry, let me get you one. 3) 30 seconds later: have you decided sir? 4) 5 minutes later: I’d like the chicken larb. Terrific. Bye. What? can I order extra spicy? 5) Food comes out: thank you! why is it luke warm… why isn’t it spicy? Just stay away. Plus $ 12.00 for lunch is TOO steep of a price for mediocre food. Sorry Nit Noi — you had your two chances — both times you have failed me. Bottom line: MUCH better Thai in Houston — MUCHBETTER Nit Noi No!

It is so disappointing to see how has this location in particular declined over time. I’ve bee for so many years such a fan of Nit Noi(woodway location) but for convenience at times I had come to this location but was never impressed with the food or the service but today has been the worst. 1. The shrimp spring rolls were so stuffed with lettuce that the rice paper fell apart as the roll was 2 times the regular size. 2. The Tom yum soup wasn’t very hot & the flavor was to blend it didn’t even resemble the amazing favors of this fantastic soup, what a shame. I must categorically advise the owners of the Nit Noi franchise in Houston to either do something about their food at this location because they are doing a disservice to their customers. What a disappointment :(

The Pad Thai with chicken is the best in Houston. Also ordered the green curry chicken with vegetables and it was equally yummy. I have been a regular at. Nit Noi since the 80’s when they has 2 resturaunt’s in the Village. Tonight’s dinner was the best ever!

I was also not expecting much from this restaurant since I never really hear about anyone eating there from friends or coworkers. When I pulled up the parking lot was pretty full but I could peek inside the windows and saw very few people eating. Sure enough, my coworker and I were only the second customer. At this point, I was already going to give them 3 stars before I even sat down. I perused the entire menu twice(looking for the lunch menu) and almost ordered something from it, but then noticed the small stand right when you walk in that has the one and only lunch special. It was nearly $ 5 less than the dish I was going to order. No wonder this place isn’t packed at lunch… there is no lunch menu. As busy bees, when we come to lunch in the Galleria area, we sometimes want a quick simple bite to eat for under $ 10. That shouldn’t be too much to ask. Nearly all other Thai restaurants in this area have a separate lunch menu, but why not here? So, we both ordered the lunch special of the day which was Curry Chicken($ 6.99). The curry has stewed tomatoes, pineapple, basil, snap peas and green beans. The meal also comes with choice of soup, salad, steamed rice, a spring roll and a fried plantain? Definitely a good deal for the amount of food you get. The chicken was cooked nearly perfectly even though it was fairly bland. The curry was nothing special. It wasn’t bad, just wasn’t wow by any means. Overall, the service was a little slow considering there were very few patrons. The temperature in the dining room was definitely too cold for both my coworker and I. Not sure if I’ll be back anytime soon…

So I’m not so sure the soft vegetarian tofu spring rolls are in fact vegetarian. Maybe it’s always been the case that the tofu bits are simmered in a light dripping of fish sauce, so I never noticed. However, the last time I ordered from Nit Noi, it was like a rancid angry fish b*tch slapped me in the face. Huge vegan party foul! Also, as I mentioned in a «Tip,» most of the items under the vegetarian section are NOT vegetarian, but pescetarian. I know I know, duh you dummy vegan, fish sauce is the most pivotal component of Thai food, you should darn well know better! But I am ever so naïve, still, because a couple of servers in the past assured me the fish sauce could be omitted from the dishes. As it turns out, all the sauces are pre-made and always have been. I’m not sure how to move forward from this — my entire life has been a lie. I feel like Nancy Kerrigan, after Tonya Harding’s cohort bashed Nancy’s knee. .. Whyyyy??! Whyyy!!! All kidding aside, the garlic sauce is suitably vegetarian, if «garlic sauce» is even its real name. It’s all right, but not especially noteworthy. I think I might be on a mission to uncover the non-vegan status of all seemingly vegan restaurant dishes so I will be forced to cook at home more. It’s my roundabout way of dieting and saving money, don’t judge me. It’s the least of my problems!

Their Tom Kha Gai soup is awesome. The only issue I have found with Nit Noi on Richmond is that they’re inconsistent. Some days when you go, their food is amazing, and some days its just ok. However, these days are rare, and I still go back frequently. Their lunch specials are also really great — $ 6.99 and you get an eggroll, salad, and soup, the entrée with rice and a fried banana. Can’t beat that!

To be honest, wasn’t expecting too much even though I tried to go in with a clear non-Yelp’d heart. Not sure if it was just because my expectations were low, but the food here is pretty tasty, fresh, and comes in big portions! Also, the place isn’t too decorated with cheesy décor as other Thai places seem to be. I tried to Pad Thai — noodles were al dente and chicken was very tender, perfectly cooked. Great flavors as well. My boyfriend got some flat noodles that ended up being soup-y rather than stir-fried. It was still good though! Seemed more like gravy than soup though. I would definitely come back!

Oh… Thai food… How I love the… And this one was OK. We split some plates… basil chicken, some soup. Not bland, just blasé. I’m struggling for words for this place… I liked it, but there are a lot of better ones(check my other reviews). In a pinch this would be a good place to stop.

Having once visited the downtown location and been unimpressed, we put off visiting Nit Noi on Richmond, despite it being close by. Finally we’d run out of options and gave it a shot. And were surprised and pleased. Soft spring rolls with shrimp were perhaps the best we’ve had. Tom Kha Gai, chicken soup with coconut milk, was listed under entrees rather than soup, and came with a big bowl of rice. The soup has asparagus and great flavor without being too heavy, the portion was very generous, in short it was fantastic. Panang beef had nice green beans and was good too but not exceptional. Service straddled the border between perfunctory and unfriendly — oh well, you can’t have everything. We’ll still be back.

This place only offers one lunch special. It is written on the board as you walk in. They do not do substitutions, so if you don’t care for what’s on the board for the day you are out of luck… However, today I was in luck. The lunch special was Chicken with Basil, soup, salad a spring roll and a fried plantain. It was so delicious. The chicken and basil was fabulous and the spring roll, soup, and salad gave a great variety to the meal. The plantain was a pleasant surprise. so sweet and tasty! My meal was much cheaper than my other diner’s meals were. It was $ 5.95 and they all paid $ 11 to $ 13 for theirs. This made me happy and is the reason why I am giving Nit Noi Café one more star!

I’ve been here a few times after the gym of all times! It’s a pretty decent Thai food place, but the prices are a bit high for the quality of food. I could go to Thai Spice on Bellaire for better tasting food and cheaper prices… its just not convenient from the gym that’s all. I usually get the the Chicken Curry(comes with pineapple, green beans, tomatoes, and onions as the veggies) with brown rice or the Beef Salad so that I can feel«healthy»…I come out feeling satisfied.

You get a ton of food for $ 6.99 for lunch, the issue is that you only have one choice and when everything else on the menu is over $ 10 for just an entrée, the lunch special has to win out! Soup, salad, entrée, spring roll, rice, entrée(today was chicken and veggies) and a fried banana. There is no way I could opt for anything else. I am glad I chose it, it was tasty. The fried banana was the one lackluster moment of the meal, it was really greasy and obviously not very fresh. Of course, that didn’t stop me from eating half of it. The service is quick and efficient and I left stuffed.
