Ordered delivery and an hour and a half later I call asking where my food is and they tell me they haven’t started it yet and only just now saw it. It took a total of 3 hours to get my food.

I purchased the deal last night. The cashier seemed irritatable and didn’t recognize the deal at first and with the help of the manager the situation was EvEntually rectified. The young lady with the Jersey accent was very polite however. I will still be eating there since it is the best pizza in the area. My only ding is for the ordeal and the service.

Very sad to report I just has the worst experience while picking up take-out. This is my 3rd bad experience with very poor service. I had hoped it was just a fluke but I was very wrong. While waiting for my order(which they forgot to place when I called in) the hostess stepped outside for a smoke. When she returned did not wash her hands, smelled of cigarettes and proceeded to make or throw together my salad. You could tell there was no management on duty as they talked and texted while not making the customers the priority. Napoli has been on the decline with the new and very immature staff. I had always enjoyed eating there in the past at the old location but things have gone downhill ever since they moved. I ended up throwing the meal in the trash as I was leaving it was just to unsanitary for me to even try to eat. If I hear of the waitstaff/management improving I will give them another try. For now I have moved down the street for Italian food with great service.

A ROACH!!! Walking across the table. We are new to this side of Houston and we continue to look for neighborhood restaurants to frequent. We decided to go and have pizza and wine, while the food was good at the end of our meal we had a unwelcome visitor. This is the worse part… we called the waiter over and he scooped the trapped roach loaded down in Alfredo sauce and walked away with it and was never mentioned again. No apology, not a visit from the Manager, usually they comp something although I can’t remember the last time this happened. Bottom line it was no big deal. We paid our bill and left the leftovers on the table.

Thanks for the fast reply and strong social media awareness. We didn’t have time to wait for new«al dente» spaghetti to be brought out. Keep doing what you’re doing as your target audience is very passionate and supportive about your food.

Just had a business meeting in this place and it exceeded my expectations. I recommend the veggie pizza and the cannoli. The manager came out to say hi to us and the service was fast and accurate. I recently came back from Italy and I haven’t eating In many Italian restaurants lately, but this particular is now one of my favorite in town. Next time I will try their lasagna because the lady next to us got it and looked good. They have promotions on Unilocal so use them the next time you go.

Only giving one star for the rudeness of the owner. Food is great and atmosphere used to be fine. Last night however, there was a duet singing and we felt like we were at a wedding. Every song you have heard at a wedding was being sung LOUD. So loud that you couldn’t hear your dinner conversation. And we had a new waiter which was no big deal. He did fine with us. Apparently he made a mistake on the people next to us… they got a calamari salad and it should have been a regular calamari so the regular calamari came out and the owner was bringing it to the table. Noticed they already had one and yelled«Hey Moron» to the waiter in front of a full restaurant. That was extremely uncalled for… No one deserves that and you shouldn’t run a business like that in my opinion. I do like the food there and the fact it’s a byob but will think twice about going back because of the owner.

Ordered the eggplant parmigiana to go. Overall the staff was almost friendly and they had good live music. The woman who took my order was less than friendly and seemed a little annoyed that I was taking up a bar stool until I tipped her and then suddenly she was all smiles. The food was cheaply made, poor quality and not really tasteful. The eggplant and spaghetti was mushy, the cheese tasted like they picked it out of the clearance bin in the grocery isle. The cheese was awful, and OHMAN do I love me some cheese. The bread is generic dinner rolls you serve at thanksgiving with some some butter and Parmesan sprinkled on top. The furthest from Italian bread I’ve ever seen. I’ve had better Italian food at Fazoli’s, and paid a LOT less.

Visited this place late on a weeknight and I think there was only one other table there. The waiter(Robert?) was very friendly and helpful. Ambience is dark and cozy, even with basketball on the tv screens. I thought there was a good variety on the menu, the portion sizes were large and reasonably priced. The rolls are nice and warm and garlicky. The margharita salad(caprese) was fresh, the mozz creamy, and the roasted garlic added depth of flavor. Chicken alfredo had a good sauce and tender chicken(even the small portion was too much food for me). At the waiter’s recommendation we added sausage to the baked ziti, which must have been good because it was all gone before I remembered to try it. Overall a nice, solid meal with some leftovers for lunch. Can definitely add it to the rotation of where to eat.

This is an update on a review I wrote back in 2011. Granted I have not been back and won’t be. The owner has written me many angry emails and the final straw came this morning when the new management sent me this: «Your reviews have no merit. I sent a public message and have notified Unilocal to remove you. How can you go to our location in 2011 and again in 2012 only to leave the „SAMEEXACTREVIEWFROMCOPYANDPASTE!“ DOYOUREALLYTHINKYOUCANGETAWAYWITHTHIS? I tried to reach out to you and you said „you will come back but not to discuss with the owners“ it’s like you get some joy bashing hard working business people! Don’t ever come back to Napoli Italian at 9650 Westheimer and don’t come to any of our other six locations and cut and paste your nasty reviews! You violated the terms of Unilocal and I will have you blocked from any further reviews on Unilocal!» I wrote this review on my first visit in late 2011 and copied it a month or so later to my Trip Advisor account in 2012. So it wasn’t like I waited a year or something. And on Trip Advisor you have to put when you made the visit and they were both posted for the same time period. «Ick…there was nothing right with this meal. From the totally clueless waiter who couldn’t pronounce anything on the menu to the tasteless salad dressing to the Alpha Male manager/owner our lunch experience went from bad to awful. We decided the salads were just about the most tasteless lettuce salads we had ever eaten at an Italian restaurant. IF there was dressing on them we couldn’t tell and when we asked if perhaps they had forgotten to put it on we were told „yes it was there“. When we explained that the salads were „awful“(and we used that word) you would expect the manager to come by and apologize. Instead he was behind the bar loudly telling an employee that since he was not in Mexico any longer he needed to change his name to a more American sounding name. Really? My lasagna was mushy and likely some frozen mess. Well actually I’d had boxed, frozen single serving lasagna that was better flavored. The chicken piccata my dining companion had was bland and served strangely over a bed of wilted spinach. Neither of us finished our meals and we won’t be back.» I don’t know if their food has gotten better. I do know that my fellow Unilocalers have encouraged me to let others know how the new management is treating people who may disagree with their food preparation. I did agree to come back and review again… he offered(much to the violation of Unilocal policy) to buy my lunch. I explained I would buy my own lunch and did not plan to tell him when I cam in or who I was. That’s when the ballistic email came telling me to never come back. Look I’m sorry that my experience was bad. I really am. But if you look at my Unilocal reviews you’ll see I am pretty fair and honest. I always take a friend with me and get their opinion for a review as well. So come at me again if you want. But Unilocal has been notified that YOU Are breaking their policy by trying to buy off reviews. I hope you treat your employees better than you treat your customers. My initial review seems irrelevant really doesn’t it. Now it’s all about the rude response from the company VP. The same company VP who calls himself Tom C who has been posting the exact same review for ALL the Napoli locations around town with a 5 star rating; (Note: Tom C has closed his account since we Unilocalers called him out. But the shills remain ) How cut and past and improper is THAT?! If you click through most of the 5 star reviews posted here you’ll find they are the ONLY review written by the person who supposedly ate there. Odd isn’t it, Tom C, that most all your 5 star reviews are from people who don’t seem to review any other local eatery? Some have no profile, photo or other reviews at all. I find that very suspicious… but I’m not going to intimate any Tom-foolery on your part. Still in the kind words of Tom C: DOYOUREALLYTHINKYOUCANGETAWAYWITHTHIS?

Have always driven by this restaurant but have never stopped in to try them out and now I know why. There was a Groupon for this place so I thought I might give them a try. We stopped by one night for dinner with my girlfriend. She ordered the Cheese Ziti and I ordered the Lasagna… let’s just say that frozen Italian food you get at a supermarket is better than what we ordered that night. The ziti was tasteless and was smothered in bland motzarella cheese like that found on pizza and my lasagna tasted as though it just came out of the microwave from a tray from Sam’s Club. The hightlight of the dinner was the dessert… the cheesecake! Can’t go wrong with cheesecake. Go if you’re bored and curious and have a coupon but otherwise save your money!

The food was good, however We may have gone on an off day the service was not that great. The gas was out and the ovens were not working. one of the male wait staff was rude. We will not go back to this particular location.

First time here and I liked this place. My daughter had the 5 piece cheese ravioli and devoured it. It was good but the marinara was scalding while the actual pasta was just warm. Boyfriend and I split the lasanga and the tortellini in alfredo sauce. The tortellini was good– I’m not a picky eater and anything with cheese and a cream sauce tastes good to me– but I think it could have been better. Lasagna was really, really good. Next time bf and I will split that and get an app. Tried the tiramisu and it came to the table frozen. My bf and daughter still ate it even though I had suggested we take it home to thaw. Seeing that if I didn’t ‘act now’ I’d get none I went ahead and had my share. It was good, albeit akin to an ice cream tiramisu cake. I’d skip it next time or ask if they have any thawed out… Prices are reasonable. Service was excellent and our waiter was really friendly.

This place is right around the corner from me so I am there a lot for takeout. Food has been good and it’s reasonably priced. I have tried the classic pasta dishes and pizzas and never had a complaint. They have outdoor seating.

We didn’t eat at this location, but had Martinis! I must say, they were excellent. They get four stars since the atmosphere was great, the service was perfect and the drinks were fantastic! Get the Martinis!

This is a very convenient Italian restaurant for us, so when we are wanting good pizza quick, this is where we get take out. We’ve never eaten in(so I can’t really say too much about management or service like other reviewers, though for take out/delivery, they have always been friendly) but their thin crust pizza is always good. We order one off the menu — a meatball and basil pizza and I would highly recommend it. We’ve also gotten some of their other specialty pizzas and the Supreme is very good as well(they actually use yellow and red peppers, which I thought was a little above and beyond!) We’ve gotten their pasta in the past and it is OK, but just not as good as their pizza, so we stick to what we know!

If I could leave zero stars I would. Picked up to go and the food was absolutely INEDIBLE. And we’re not finicky eaters so that’s saying something! Pasta was so salty that it made our mouths pucker. Tried to reach management and was told no one else had complained. Probably because we ordered angel hair with our meat sauce instead of the spaghetti it usually comes with and it was made special order. But the manager was not satisfied with that answer and then proceeded to ask if we put too much Parmesan on our pasta. WTH? Since when is Parmesan an equal substitute for salt? And no, there was no use of Parmesan. They get zero points for the food and a demerit for accusing customers of a) lying and b) over salting with cheese. Way to go Napoli, you just won worst restaurant in Tanglewilde, courtesy of one horrible manager: Rafael. Avoid this place folks, it’s just not worth it.

Stop by when the weather is nice out, and you’ve got good company! When seated outside, It’s like visiting EEEtaly along with the police sirens and occasional honking. The 14″ vegetarian pizza is big enough for two, without breaking the bank. We also had the Portabello Mushroom appetizer, which had a zesty A1 sauce along with garlic & lemon. There’s a bottomless salad if you’re a hungry vegetarian and good bread to go along with it. Once the construction around this area is done it will do a tad better.
