Solid phở with plenty of meat, noodles and good broth. Spring rolls were a bit of a disappointment, the sauce was not up to snuff. The Viet iced coffee was good and strong. Overall would recommend because of the soup. Good Phở always fixes whatever is wrong in the world.

I was a little disappointed with the service, it was a little busy when we came in for an early dinner but nothing out of the ordinary. Our 2 top table juggled between 2 – 3 servers. Other than that oddity the food was good. We didn’t say very long but we will definitely give Phở Saigon another try.

This is my Los Angeles substitute for Phở and I absolutely love this place. Service is great, hardly ever a long wait to get my food and the Phở reminds me of being back in So Cal. If you want a hot meal on a rainy day, check this place out.

I think the broth here was quite good. It was just right not too salty not too pale. However, the content was a bit lacking in volume. After a bowl of phở I was still hungry. Mind you I don’t eat that much. My fav phở place is still in Bellaire. However, if you don’t mind paying for two bowl and love the close distance to downtown then it is your perfect choice.

No frills and delicious. Hard to do modifications. Their peanut sauce that comes w the rice rolls is out of this world and probably not healthy. My husband had the combo phở and he drank all the broth. While I had the small vegetable phở. I wanted their egg noodle version instead of their rice noodle but somehow that only comes in a large bowl. Is it really that complicated to serve egg noodles?

Typical Vietnamese phở place aka be ready to be expected to know your order before you sit down. Phở was delish, broth was excellent. Summer and spring rolls were on point. Just another good phở place. Very much needed when you’re visiting Texas and eating BBQ, tex-mex and kolaches all week long.

Phở is consistently good, can’t go wrong with a classic phở noodle bowl here. Been eating phở here and there for about 15 years now, this place has ALWAYS been one of the best in town.

Decent vietnamese restaurant, cheap and no frills. Portion is small but it’s ok. Tried their Bo Kho, steamed rice with charbroiled chicken and Jelly & tapioca in coconut milk. They were tasted pretty good. Service can be improved. Asking me if I’ve seen menu yet while our table is completely empty(and we just sat down) is a little weird to me. Foods came and I asked for 2 spoons and she came back with 1, just that kind of petty stuff. Oooh I also asked for 4 waters, she came back with 2?! Anyway it was an ok experience, but this is Houston. Many vietnamese restaurants to choose from.

Got a Thai tea while I waited for my takeout order. It’s so good. It’s sweet how I like it, accidentally ordered with those tapioca balls. Got the spring rolls sans pork, yummy. The peanut sauce was thinner that expected but tasted good. Also got the #14 — phở tai gan and loved it. I’m definitely coming back, there price is right, it’s convenient to my apt and most importantly tastes good.

Phở Saigon does phở. Not a bells and whistles place, this place features solid, cheap, hot Vietnamese noodles. It has the usual combination/permutation of phở + meat/meat/meat/meat so go with whatever is your standard option and chow down! Also — get the large, because going big leads to a happy, warm, full stomach. For those on alternative eating regiments: they have vegetarian phở with tofu, as well as phở made with chicken broth as well! The restaurant is located in a small strip mall in Midtown — the storefront looks small but open the door and find that the interior is actually quite spacious. Most likely, you’ll get seated quickly and your order taken just as fast. Phở doesn’t take long, so expect your food to come out speedily and efficiently! The waitresses who took our order were also pleasant and polite. After you finish eating, go up to the front counter to pay. All in all, it’s no fuss, cheap, hot food that doesn’t require you to drive suuuuper far west to get to some more authentic Vietnamese fare. What more could you ask for? Hit up Phở Saigon!

Stupid restaurant didn’t give me a bowl or a big container to eat my soup noodles. How the heck do u expect me to eat my to go phở with a tiny cup? The broth was like warm, so the meat was not cooked! What’s wrong with u people at the restaurant? Don’t expect people to be at home or have a bowl and microwave ready when they order your food!

The first thing I did when we picked up our rental in Galveston is look up a Vietnamese restaurant so I can satisfy my craving for phở! I’m telling ya, after eight days of cruise food, this girl needs her Asian food fix! We found Phở Saigon by default because it’s the closest one to our hotel(Hyatt Regency). So glad we found the place because the service was quick, and more importantly, the phở was delicious! What a great way to start off our stay in Houston — a delicious and cheap meal!

This place is UH-MAZING! I love how fresh everything is and inexpensive it is! They’re so down to earth and quick with orders. Spring rolls? yum. Bahmi(beef and chicken)? Delicious! It can get crowded, so grab it to go. Parking can be difficult too but we got lucky! Will be back next time I visit Houston!

Whelp. That is the word I am going for describing this place. My roommate had underwent an oral surgery to have her wisdom teeth removed but was still able to have soup and fortunately was craving that last week. We looked up the nearest Viet place near us and found this establishment. I had ordered the bun bo hue, while she had gotten the vegetable soup. I had to put quite a bit more spices in the dish for me to get the flavor I had wanted, which usually doesn’t happen often. The flavor itself was mediocre at best, and the portion seemed way smaller than the portions I’m used to. I had gotten a large as I was really craving some bun bo hue, but the bowl looked like a small to me, which makes me wonder how tiny the small is… I would say just make the drive to Chinatown. It’ll be worth it.

I love phở so much, and this was my first experience with phở in Houston. I had the combination special and a spring roll. Overall, there’s not a ton of ambience(think as basic as you can) and luckily the bill at the end of dinner reflects that(think $ 6 – 10 per person). Overall, the phở has great broth and ingredients but really mediocre noodles. I also appreciated the selection of sprouts, sauces, and limes. Unlike some other restaurants, I felt like I had more than enough of each to use for my phở. The large portion of phở itself was more than enough for 2 solid meals. Also, there was a bit of a lunch rush around 12 pm, but my group of 7 had no problem finding an empty table around 11:45. Make sure to pay at the front at the end of your meal.

Five star for speed and yummy #10 seafood phở but oh how I wish the chicken weren’t always sooo dry and service a little more attentive(water refills, making sure to take orders from people in the correct order that they entered the establishment). Other than that, we appreciate cha!

When I don’t want to drive to Chinatown and don’t want to spend too much time out, this is one of our go to places. Last night, being on the chillier side, we wanted phở and as always the place was popping. However, this place is quite speedy, once you walk in, you are greeted, seated, and then your order is taken, lol this all occurs in ~5 minutes so be sure to look at the menu ahead of time. Last night, I wasn’t quite as prepared and so I missed the ordering part and had to wait a bit before the waitress came to take our order. By the way, some of the waiters/waitress don’t speak English so it is best to point to what you want on the menu. I asked if I could modify one of the beef noodle soups as I just wanted tripe, tendon, and eye round steak and I was just met with a blank stare so I ended up ordering #9 Special Combination. The broth is consistently solid, but nothing spectacular, and they gave a good amount of meat(eye round steak, well done flank, fatty brisket), but the ratio of fat to meat could have been better, also they only give you one small meatball, a few pieces of tripe, and I got one piece of tendon… Luckily, my bf got more, so I guess the distribution is a bit uneven. If you aren’t in the mood for soup, I actually prefer their Vermicelli bowls which comes with beansprouts, mint, carrots, lettuce, cucumbers, green onions, cilantro, peanuts and your choice of protein. I prefer #65 vermicelli with charbroiled sliced pork which is always super flavorful and bonus, you get a deliciously fried egg roll and yummy fish sauce on the side! Overall, this is an A-OK place for a solid, consistent, quick, more affordable meal(it seems as if prices increase each year or two, now a small bowl of soup is $ 5.75, large is $ 6.75, and Special Combination is $ 7.25).

Phở Saigon seems to be the go to phở restaurant in the area, and as a lover of all things phở related, I had to give it a try. While parking was a pain, the interior was pretty clean and spacious. Additionally, we were served right away. In terms of flavor, however, I was a bit disappointed. While the meat of the phở tai had a good texture, it wasn’t really special and didn’t have much flavor. The broth was well seasoned, but again it was only average. The thing I did enjoy though was their egg rolls. They were nice, crispy, and tasty, but I wished there was more filling. Final scores Food 3⁄5 Service 3⁄5 Ambience 3.5÷5

Was between this place and a more reviewed Vietnamese place on Unilocal.Decided on this one because from the pictures it looked a little more authentic. It did not disappoint! I ordered 2 spring rolls. I really don’t like spring rolls that much, but since I’m Vietnamese I feel compelled to order them whenever I try a new Viet place. They were ok but the Phở Dac Biet was very good!

Alguna duda?
