Ok so I came here Sunday night granted it was like 30mins before they close but as soon as I walked in the lady in the back yelled something and a server came running to me telling they were out of soup… Ok well I will order something else well to my dismay they were out of everything so I guess they didn’t want my business? I left very unhappy and will lot be going back… It’s a hole in the wall and with service like that it will remain a hole in the wall

I have been contemplating the move to SE Houston. My fiancée and I have been house searching and this area seems to be the most affordable right now. As we are searching we have been getting hungry! One of the stops we have been able to visit is this Phở restaurant. Their broth is actually quite solid and their tai(raw beef) is seasoned well. Some places just give you unflavored beef here it is marinated and tenderized. The service can be spotty depending on when you come. It seems to be the best in the area. It’s not on the same level as Bellaire, but I never knew there was a small pocket of Vietnamese restaurants in this area.

Came here after recommendation from a friend re. phở ga kho. It is pretty good but on the sweet side. We also tried the phở which is good. Grilled pork rice plate is OK but nothing spectacular. Overall an OK place for Vietnamese grub but nothing is going to bring my stomach back for more

This rating is just for the phở ga kho. I was devastated when I found out that phở tai binh duong closed down on Bellaire. «WHEREAM I SUPPOSEDTOGETMYPHOGAKHOFIX». Luckily my stepson recommended this place when I went to pick him up. First of all, homeboy doesn’t like to step out of his comfort zone so how good can this food be? The kids wanted phở so wth, I gave it a try. Phở ga kho is to die for. The drive from sugar land to pick up my other child will be two stop shop.

The phở broth is descent but the bowl sizes run SMALLER. If you typically order a small bowl, I would recommend ordering the large. With that said, the quantity is not worth the price. The tai(beef strips) is prepared in an untraditional way; some what like ground meat seasoned with black pepper. Nonetheless the phở taste is average. Wait staff is a bit horrible… expected at many Vietnamese restaurants. The restaurant does take credit card which is the only reason why I ended up here. Many Vietnamese restaurants around Houston have opt out on credit card transactions to lower their cost and ironically losing customers to others because of it.

Another phở restaurant… Personally I don’t feel as if they have anything that makes them stand out… I prefer this place over the trailer that everyone seems to love for some reason… One thing that they do have going for them is excellent customer service. While their English may be broken they try and they do a great job at making it seem like they care!

So far this is my favorite place when it comes to Phở Tai. Their beef is soft and tender. Service is okay there were a couple encounters where they forgot my order. I had to remind them a couple times to the point that the item they forgot was on the house. This is close by my house so it’s convenient. I would recommend to others but don’t expect too much.

Phở is great! I only try one other dish and I am not a big fan. I like this place better than phở Binh. And thus I must disagree that phở Binh is the best in Houston. Service here is typical like at any other average Vietnamese restaurant. The language barrier, the cultural differences should be taken into consideration. They are generally nice and hard working people here. Take it easy on the service and just enjoy the delicious phở.

Tsk tsk. … hidden away and out of sight. I would say it’s a hit or miss. The food is decent, had the bun Bo hue which is a dish I have not favorited at any restaurant yet. I ordered it here, it is the same as any other place in town, not the true unique soup that I’m looking for. There were about 3 other tables, the service was slow and the coffee was ok. I don’t think I will go out of my way looking for them again.

I had phở ga and coconut juice here. The phở isn’t good like at phở binh. Coconut juice was good. The phở lacked real chicken broth in it. You can tell it’s not made from real chicken broth. This will be my first and last time eating phở here. The service was great.

Sheer disappointments! This restaurant was recommended by locals as a good place to grab some phở for breakfast. Their phở was just the same if not worse than anywhere else. Service was lacking in the memory department. I went to pay and they did not even know where I sat or what I ordered. I guess I could have screwed them over but I’m an honest individual. My niece and I also ordered sugar cane. The waiter said he only had enough for one but the second my brother orders, there was plenty. Strange how it works. There are plenty of phở restaurants in the area, pick a different one.

What The Phở!!! Okay, I know I am currently the Duke here, but since they opened this place has gone downhill. It used to be the best Phở on this side of town but recently, with the price increase, bland food and horrific service, I hope that they either improve or shut down. Lately, the sign says they close at 9 pm, but just about a month ago, I had a party of 15 come and they closed tge door on us at 8pm. There was another occasion when I took my friend and once again they closed at 745pm. One time with my brothers they closed on us at 730pm. That is a pity, at all occasion there waa always other cars coning in after us. So lately, I been going during the day and stay away when the sun goes down. The service, its the worse you can ever get. It so bad that so far out of my experience herr, they have messed up my order on numerous occasion. Just today, I order XL and my wife order a Small. A couple came in after us and while I was watching the TV, I saw my food bought out to that couple. How I know, because they were missing a third bowl for their child. The nexr order came out and they try to give me those three bowl, WTF. Two people Three Bowls? How stupid are you. So it went back in. 5 sec later, the samr bowl came out and went to the table behind me. LOL! The guest said, How did his food come out before us and we been sitting here before the menu came. On other occassion, I order par cooked bean sprouts and it went to another table, how I know. They didnt order it. Once time, my brothers and I order threr XL bowls, and it all came out Large, they charged us for a large too. Another time, we order spring roll and eggrolls, it didnt come out until we finish our Phở. The last time I checked, Eggroll and Spring Roll was on the App Menu not Dessert Menu. The sad part of all this was they ate Vietnamese and I order in Vietnamese. Tsk. Tsk… On to the food, the flank steak, which you will rarely see if you order the Special, unless you order on the side is probably the worse meat you will ever get, its probably the Butt End. The pound it out really thin so that is becomes tender. The broth is usually good, but today it was bland. The soup broth is the most important part of Phở, once you mess it up, there no poiny of coming. Thats why, I been here for so long, because of the broth. I can over look the imcompatant servers and service, but when you mess up the food, thats when I give bad reviews. There a saying«You get what you paid for!» Well, a normal large Phở is 7.95, if you charging more than that, you better have some great. Phở. Your restaurant says PHOTHY, that means your Phở ia the best, dont tell me its the Bun Bo Hue or Bun Thit Nuong. Thats just stupid. So Unilocalers, come here if you want Phở before the sun comes down. Dont expect too much, cuz they just dont care. Enjoy, cuz it might be the last time you be here before you go somewhere else like me.

My dad introduced me to Phở Thy. I think this is probably the best in the area. I used to like Phở Binh, I still do but I think the broth is more flavorful here. They have three sizes — Small, Large, and Extra Large. The Large would be equivalent to a Med. If you didn’t know, they also carry phở ga kho.

What a disappointment! Came to this place after reading good reviews on Unilocal.Other reviews states that this is a sister restaurant to Phở Dien, meat is marinated the same but the quality is nowhere near Phở Dien. The noodle was hard, the place smells like moth balls(so the brisket had a moth ball flavor to it) & they didn’t have tapioca available. I barely tasted my phở & told them that my noodle was hard & still had to pay for it. They did offer to make me a new bowl but I already lost my appetite. I will never return.

Hole in the wall and we were out-of-towners who were not familiar with the lay of the land. Started Unilocal app on my phone and this restaurant had some good reviews. It was better than I could have expected. I’d definitely go back should we ever come back to the Houston area.
