My co-worker and I were craving some good olé’ Vietnamese rice plates so he suggested coming here. Phở Truc has some tasty rice plates, my go to is the thin sliced chargrilled pork served with steam rice. I always order one fried egg with this dish, so good! The rice plate comes with sliced cucumbers and tomatoes and the fish sauce on the side. Delish! I’ve had other items on their menu, the beef tips and macaroni is also good and the cornish hen with steam rice. The rice plates comes with a small cup of soup. I can’t remember if I liked their phở or not, it’s been a long time since I’ve had phở here, I usually don’t venture out for phở since I stick with my favorite spot. Their banh mi sandwiches weren’t as good as I remember. Service was good, a little slow but the food came out hot and fresh. The parking lot is strange there, just watch where you park, there’s lots of spots reserved for the businesses in that strip. I’ll def. be back for more of that tasty chargrilled pork! :-D

Food as allways it’s Good but as in every Vietnamese restaurant I’ve ever been to the service for the drinks is terrible I got a ice tea and I spent the whole time not hearing a word from my waitress her walking right past my empty cup I may seem like a bad customer but a customer shouldn’t have to ask for more beverage it should just be brought to them a good waitress or waiter would know when to refill a drink. And I don’t understand Vietnamese restaurants in charging per can of soda just get a fountain that’s a personal thing has nothing to do with any particular restaurant. I’m not trying to be being prejudice towards a certain race of any sort but I do not experience this at a Japanese restaurant I don’t experiences this at a Chinese restaurant I don’t experience tthis at a Thai restaurant, only Vietnamese restaurants. They probably don’t even know I’m gone.

Phở Truc is my go-to Phở restaurant. I have not had the pleasure of dining in, but look forward to doing so in the future. Their Phở Tai is what I believe to be exemplary. Its always been consistent and always delicious. A typical to-go order is around 15 minutes.

I’ve been coming here for several years, for their Phở. I’ve tried Phở at many other restaurants around town and this is by far my favorite! I always get the #69(eye of round beef) Phở. I love the flavor of the broth, the meat is lean and tender, and the basil and other toppings are always fresh. Love it!

They gave us food that looked that it had been cooked a day before. The egg rolls were super burnt. The chicken wasn’t soft it was almost like eating chicken chips. Do not recommend this place

Something has definitely changed about this place. If I were to have anyone find the best Vietnamese food around, I would refer them here. But the food is just not the same. I haven’t kept up with the owners in a while, so is it possible that they sold it? Or are they just not around as much? I walked in about 7:45 pm and the place was completely empty! The lady up front was very short with me. I ordered something very simple, grilled chicken over steamed rice. Normally, it would come with cucumbers and tomatoes, lettuce, some very juicy grilled chicken over some rice, and some fish sauce. What I got today was very dry chicken, cucumbers, and rice; the fish sauce was a little spicier than normal. I definitely miss the owners and wish that this was the same place that I remember, but the truth is that right now it is not.

If you like Vietnamese food at a great price, this is the place to be. Love the fried rolls and the vermicelli.

I love going here. My husband hooked me to it. I love their phở tai and there soft spring rolls. The peanut sauce is amazing as well. Nice environment the staff is very friendly. I also love their vermicelli the best I’ve ever had. Their prices are very reasonable and they have good lunch specials. Phở Truc is the way to go for very good cheap food.

I like coming here for the lunch specials… Monday through Friday from 11:00am-3:00pm and they are very set on that schedule… You can’t even order it 5 min early! I normally order the Bo luc lac lunch special with macaroni or the phở… You get a choice of spring roll or egg roll, a small soup(not with phở), and you get an iced tea. Its a nice amount of food for $ 7. Way better than grabbing fast food! Service is ok… English is a little lacking but it’s good enough. I’ve seen plenty of non vietnamese people able to order and get their wants understood.

I am only a fan of their Bun Bo Hue. Big portion of delicious bun bo hue! Other things on the menu are ok. Bought a few sandwiches the other day and they did not even toast the bread! Asked if I could buy a plain french bread for my kid and was told they did not have any! Seriously lame. I remember when this place had a sign that said Lo Banh Mi, which is French bread oven, which means they bake their own bread. When the owner guy was here, we had good service and everything was delicious. Now it is not as good as it used to be. We usually see him running his Bambu shop on Gears Road by Thang Hung, which is probably the most generous Bambu shop I been to as portions are not stingy! Wish he come back and run this restaurant again unless he sold it already. This is probably the best Bun Bo Hue on the Northside of Houston.

Good portion sizes, pretty fast service. Our fave is bun thit nuong cha goi(vermicelli noodles with grilled pork and egg rolls). Fresh squeezed lemonade is quite refreshing. People are pretty nice. Parking lot is kinda weirdly spaced and lines, but the restaurant is nice, quaint, and authentic.

I have been here occasion of times. Most of the food here are Northern Vietnam cooking. For a Phở place I yet to eat a bowl of phở because every time I go here I’m have a crave for bun cha Hanoi, bun rieu or canh bun.

This is my go to place for their special spicy Vietnamese soup«Bun Bo Hue». I order mines with no pork bones, I’ve tried many places but this one has my all time favorite. It’s flavorful and the soup isn’t so salty like most places. Also love there spring rolls and sauce. Must try

Bland. Watered down. And stingy portions of meat. That is all.

I drove past 3 Phở places I love as I headed to go try somewhere new. The exterior and interior are both unimpressive but I was hoping the phở would make up for it… it did. First off, they have a great lunch deal with ice tea, phở, and an egg or spring roll. The egg roll was alright(shoulda gone with the spring roll) but the phở was phở-nomenal. Great flavor and required zero addition of sriracha or hoisin sauce(both of which I use quite often). Definitely adding it to the local phở circuit because it was so good, a little further North than many of my other favorites, and I love getting a roll with my phở.

Sorry to write a bad review but this place just sucked! It is more pricier than the usual phở places. I was going to get the phở but my cousin told me she doesn’t remember it being memorable, so I got a broken rice plate with shredded pork, pork chop and egg loaf. The porkchop was ok, the shredded pork had mainly pig skin, and the egg loaf which I generally loved to eat tasted like some weird spice. Don’t bother ordering the eggrolls either… the greasiest things ever!!! It’s not even a good greasy for that matter. A lot of the beverages are $ 3…really? I would say it’s a rip off for bad food.

Darkly lit parking lot, pretty clean restaurant pertaining to the floors and the ceilings(no mold). One t hing that I could not stand was just like many Phở places when you lay your arm on the table and pick it up your skin sticks and finally whatever is on the table lets go after about ¼″ off when you pull. The Bun Bo Hue is fantastic here, the phở is also very good. Tea is fresh, does not taste like somebody boiled a dirty sock in the container. Service was pretty good, I drank about 5 glasses of tea(they sure like to make sure your glass is full of ice for some reason). My little brother had a birthday party for his daughter about a month ago and got the food from here. The thing that I remembered well is that these people delivered the food duty free! That’s service. This will also be a bookmark on the way whenever I am in the area because of the food, pretty good service and price. One star off for sticky tables(please change your rags or wash them once an hour).

Delicious banh canh #19 «Vietnamese Udon Noodles.» You have to try this big bowl of rats’ tailssssss. :d Comes with pork slices, chicken, shrimp, and CRAB meat! Here’s the game plan: 1. Consume two-thirds of the oodles of slippery noodles. 2. Add some jalapenos or sriacha to HEAT it up since by now you’ll notice that the soup is starting to cool. 3. Finish it. 4. Repeat weekly if necessary. Service was standard, besides the waitress yappin’ on her phone(actually she wasn’t talking at all, but she had her phone between her shoulder and her ear) when she brought us her drinks. I’m a white meat chicken snob and she always let’s me order it with all white meat. Love her.
