Good place to eat in the tunnels. Much healthier than other places. You have control over what you eat here — they have plenty of options with all the calories plainly listed, and then you go down an assembly line choosing what you want in your salad. Simple stuff. I only have 2 complaints — they’re not cheap, and they’re pretty stingy with their toppings. Like… 5 or 6 small pieces of egg(like. ¼th of an egg, seriously) for a full sized salad? Cmon man. Otherwise, good place in the tunnel.

Fast, generous portions, and a wide variety of salad ingredients and toppings! This is my new choice for a salad, and I only wish it was open past the lunch hour. I had put off trying the place because the line is typically wrapped around and out the door into the tunnel. In the future, I’ll wait, because that line moves faster than you might think. The ladies behind the counter(and there are a lot of them to handle the crowds) mean business! They get your basic salad size to start, and a mix of whatever lettuce and/or greens you choose. Then you pick your vegetables and cheeses, then fruits, then meats, fish, dressings, toppings, and poof! It’s a high pressure whirlwind of salad options that end up mixed together and put into a togo box waiting at the cash register. Go here. Try it. If you like salads for lunch in a togo box, you can’t be disappointed!

Friendly, fast(less than 5 minutes unless it’s the peak of the lunch rush around noon) service, and you get as many toppings as you want(meat is extra), unlike most salad places. A bit pricey for what you’re getting, though. Limited seating inside and in the nearby atrium.

I haven’t been here for years, but this place was good! The salads are very fresh and the toppings are amazing. I would always get the shrimp and they gave you a lot. Very very good.

I’ve heard a lot of really great things about Salata, and frankly I don’t get it. Sure it’s a nice healthy salad bar, but that’s all it is, so what’s the big deal? The chicken was just average, and I went with arguably their healthiest dressing, Fat Free Mango, the dressing didn’t add much of any flavor to speak of, I probably shouldn’t be surprised by this. Maybe if you are a vegetarian, or a health nut with loads of disposable income(a real health nut might look at their nutritional values and think twice) this might be a place for you, but if you’re like me and are not a connoisseur of salad, you’d probably be better off going somewhere like Jason’s Deli.

Wraps are way smaller than at the other locations, so go with the salad for a dollar more. Regardless, it’s still salata so it’s delicious and you have so much to choose from. The tomato soup is amazing and your meal comes with pita chips! Super long line but that is the same at any location. Way healthier than most other food options in the tunnels.

The ingredients are fresh with many different options, so you never get bored. They do not put a practical amount of any topping on, if you ask for eggs you get about 2 tablespoons of chopped egg, which is fine because by the end you’ve added 20 other items to your salad so you couldn’t even tell if you had egg to begin with… so why get egg at all, right? The dressings are tasty but they only offer two choices of fat-free or reduced calorie which are sun-dried tomato and mango. The mango is very bland with little to no flavor and the sun-dried tomato I give a C+. At the end of the day it is just salad, over priced salad. $ 8 for veggies only, $ 10 with any type of protein. If you want extra toppings you can always ask, they give it to, maybe not with a smile on their face… but then again, I’ve never really seen any of them smile.

This is the more generous location of Salata in downtown tunnels. I go on Fridays due to a $ 1 promo with my company. These ladies at this location will fill you salad box up and defnitely hook you up with lots of toppings and meat! Last time I went, I got alot of salad fixings and got the herb shrimp. Man, that lady gave me like 3 scoops of shrimp so every bite had shrimp and salad. Thank you generous Salata ladies! I love that pesto bread that they offer to accompany your salad. Mmmm… The service here is sensational and moves fast. You know, the more i thnk of it, perhaps going on Fridays is a good Salata hook up day cause they have to get rid of the stuff since they are not open on the weekends. Maybe that is why the scoops of meat and stuff is generous? However, i do hear from my coworkers that go on other days that this is the best Salata for your buck. Yes, you will end up paying $ 10 to $ 11 for a salad, but it is worth it. You will be full, trust me. I am very frugal with lunches and often bring mine but once and awhile splurge at Salata is what I look foward to.

Ok, I really like this place. Here are some know-how’s now that I’ve been enough times to actually write something helpful. Like Alonti, if you’ve ever been, knowing where to line up and find certain things is challenging if you’re new and a horde of hungry patrons in suits who hardly see daylight and probably have less time for lunch than you just popped up a nanosecond behind you. If they don’t push you towards the beginning of the line, then you want to head far left from the entrance. Start with salad choice including, regular lettuce, spring mix or spinach and tell them whether you want a wrap or salad.(I will not list every single menu item they offer. That is what their website is for and I recommend a mock online order for first timers so you can get an idea of what they have.) Next, choose from a plethora of fresh and healthy fillers like cauliflower, carrots, mushrooms, black beans, pumpkin seeds, grapes, strawberries, feta, cheddar cheese, chicken, shrimp and insert 30 more delectable ingredients good for the heart and colon. Meat will up your lunch a couple more dollars, so instead of $ 8-ish, you’re looking at $ 11-ish. Next is dressing like ranch or balsamic vinaigrette. I always ask for the dressing on the side just in case I can’t eat everything. I don’t like soggy foods. Salads come with a piece of bread. If you ordered a wrap, tell them what kind of tortilla you want. If you’re too afraid to ask what they have because you’ve already spent so much time picking out your toppings and the mass behind you has begun nipping at your ankles, pick wheat. Can’t go wrong with simple. Before the tortilla comes out of the warmer oven, or while your salad is being tossed, ask for croutons or bacon if you desire. For some reason, these are at the end of the line. With a wrap they ask if you want chips. This is not a trick to get you to spend more money, the chips are included in the price of the wrap. The bad news is your only choices are plain pita or baked tortilla. I have not had the tortilla chips, but the pita is a bit bland for my taste. Dressing on the side, you have come in handy a second time. Finally, it’s time to pay. So, go do that. If you feel you need a bag to carry your food in and to show off where you went for lunch, then you can help yourself at the counter opposite the cash register. You’ll find napkins and other items there as well. Bön appetit!

There are multiple locations of Salata downtown but this is the one that I’ve been to the most because of proximity to my office. Smiley and speedy service. Before I ever ate here I was like«hells no I can make my own salad thank you very much». But this place is better than any lame salad bar; there are many fresh and diverse options to make rainbow salads. There’s a huge assortment of vegetables, beans/legumes, nuts, fruit, and crunchy things, e.g. toasted pita strips and croutons. Their dressings are very tasty too. For all downtown locations, I give it 4 stars because within the context of salad quality and downtown lunch experiences, it’s pretty good but pricey. There is chicken and salmon but I have never ordered my salads with meat or the soups. They just don’t look worth it. The tomato soup is a mysterious off-putting pink color which doesn’t look fresh or healthy and I can imagine the tortilla soup to be very salty. The free bread that comes with the salad isn’t worth eating. It’s limp and the spreads are really greasy. The only seating area is counterspace.

This is the good Salata — like your kids, there is always a good one and a bad one. This is the good one — the one in the Park Shops is the bad one. So let’s scold the bad one and put him in the corner, then we will praise this one and buy it a cupcake. Super friendly, chatty, nice, personable employees. They make it such an easy choice to come get lunch here because they never give you attitude. If they did not want to serve you salad as their life-long career objective, then they conceal it rather well. I have had some good conversations and asked for recommendations here and I am always willingly obliged. The food is good. Very good! High quality ingredients, great lettuce, the chicken is always super tasty and no fat sticking off of it, they obey every command about how much of this and how much of that you want(extra jalapenos? Don’t mind if I do!) and then they ring you and your Diet Dr. Pepper up at the register in short order, then you are free to take your delicious feast and Diet Dr. Pepper out into the tunnel and eat it at the convenient tables set up next to Salata. I like this place. Good lunch spot! Great idea if you need to do something besides Treebeards because you were running late and Treebeards is already closed.

Not at all satisfying. I scarfed down the wrap in just a few bites. A great variety and fresh ingredients, but way too overpriced for a salad($ 8, plus extra for meat). I probably would have asked for a little bit of everything– fruits, nuts, veggies, but the line is so long that you feel really rushed. And I don’t like how it’s not clear what comes with your meal… example, my wrap came with chips, but I didn’t know, so I didn’t get it.

If you don’t like your salad, it’s pretty much your fault. Reeling from a meat heavy dinner at Capital Grille, today HAD to be a veggie day. Salata was perfect. Tons of salad options made fresh before your eyes. My major critique is that it felt rushed. I didn’t really have a lot of time to peruse the many offerings and that made sad. I was barked at(what else, what else, is that it, is that it– it was practically interchangeable) the entire time. But the salad was good– a bit expensive though(8 dollars and 2 or 3 for some sort of animal protein).

When the hostess with the mostess has forgotten to buy salad ingredients for her dinner guests, this place is a life saver. Providing she remembers said lapse before 2:30 pm when they close down in the tunnels. For $ 8.00 total you can assemble a very tasty, varied salad that will serve four as a side dish, two as a lunch or one if she has had to fast for a blood test and it is now 1:00 pm and things are going fuzzy round the edges. All this is pure speculation of course.
