Tacos were lacking meat and the horchata was pretty watery. Food did taste pretty, though

Super rico, los tacos son lo mejor. Los tacos de barbacoa y fajita los mejores se siente como si estuvieras en México.

Information of the Gordita will be listed below, so you can search or ask for a recipe and possibly make your own after trying out this restaurant, enjoy! A gordita(Spanish pronunciation: [orðita]) in Mexican cuisine is a small cake made with masa and stuffed with cheese, meat or other fillings.[1] It is similar to a pasty and to the Colombian/Venezuelan arepa. Gordita means«little fat one» in Spanish. A gordita is typically fried in a deep wok-shaped comal or baked on a regular comal.

Love this place, was just there on friday ! I have been there a couple times for lunch during work week since it’s pretty closed to work ! I always ordered the same thing the Gorditas! I have had the barbacoa, carnitas, and the beef cheese and peppers and I like the beef cheese and peppers the best ! The carnitas tasted old to me, really porky if that make sense. Tried their tamales once and didn’t like it the meat to Masa ratio was terrible. too much masa to closed to no meat.

It’s in a random location but I found it on Unilocal with good reviews and figured I’d give it a try. I got fajita tacos and a chicken gordita, they were both very good. She recommended I add cheese and beans to the gordita and I’m glad I did otherwise it would’ve been dry and all meat. This was definitely an above average fast casual Mexican joint.

Their tacos are what you expect from those taco trucks on the sides of the roads, but better. Full of flavor without the grease. I always get the fajita, pollo, and barbacoa tacos, but they have plenty of other choices. They also have ice cream for sale and really good lemonade. The service there is always friendly.

Showed up and they were 20 minutes from opening, but they let me in early. They were exceptionally nice and welcoming. Food is excellent! Gorditas are magnificent! I wish we had one closer to Tomball.

Very authentic! Great food and great service. My parents kept asking for different things and changing their minds. I would’ve been annoyed, but they were super nice and accommodating with all the requests. Definitely recommend! I had the mushroom gordita, and the papas con rajas y queso gordita. Both really tasty.

How do you know this place is good, just take a look in back. He’s got two poor old senior citizens working the kitchen. Grandma, grandpa, and the entire family are back there screaming and pushing each other out the way. Kind of looks like my family during the holidays. That’s why this small restaurant has that mom’s cooking for me feel and flavor. Gorditas are awaesome, not to greasy and all the fillings are 100% authentic. The barbacoa doesn’t get any better than at this place. Nothing like that greasy stuff they sell at the carnicerias. Tender barbacoa, perfectly cooked to where it melts in your mouth. Try everything on the menu you can’t go wrong with anything. The best thing at Los Abuelos, is their salsas. I think they have about 6 to choose from. These salsa’s really remind me of the one my grandma makes. Simple not to complex and always consistent. I personally love the red chile seco salsa. Almost looks like a neon orange. I pour it over everything, I also try and get a couple of extra to last me a couple of days.

I discovered this place after craving Alamo’s tamales, but not being able to make it there before they closed. So, I did the next best thing which was turning to the good olé faithful Unilocal.:D Surprisingly, this place was waaay closer to my house than Alamo’s, so I was VERY happy. This place is new to the area; a different type of Mexican fruit/ice cream shop of sorts was here before. But just after walking in and seeing the setup and easy to read menus displayed(the other business was opposite of this) — I was already engaged. But on to the good stuff. I was quickly greeted by someone at the front, and I ordered three pork tamales and one chicken tamale to sample. I noticed a big emphasis on their gorditas, so I also ordered two gorditas– one bean and cheese(for my son), and one made with carnitas. The service was quick and professional which was another plus. Now for the final test– tasting the food. I must say I was not disappointed. Just looking at the food I could tell everything was freshly made. There were two types of sauces that accommodated the tamales and gorditas(one light, one dark), and they were both good. The darker sauce definitely had some kick to it, but enjoyable nevertheless. The tamales were seasoned, and the gorditas were quite nice as well. They were not very big, but for all that I got and only paying $ 8.66– can’t beat a good deal. Overall, I won’t say that their tamales replace Alamo’s, but for the convenient location, price and authentic food– they’re a great substitute. Enjoy folks.

Can’t wait to visit again! Found this place last year while searching for a dry cleaners. It’s located near the RV park we stay during our visit to The Woodlands. Great food and great service. Ricardo made us his version of a Mexican hamburger and it was unbelievable! Everything we tried was excellent. Can’t vouch for the menudo since I’m not a fan of that particular dish though. Ricardo, we will see you all in a couple of months!

finally hit this spot just because I was craving for some tacos. I was greeted with smiles and politely ask if it was dine-in or for to go. Dine-in to enjoy the ambiance and the feeling of a good to sit down for a quick bite kind of thing. We ordered 2 fajitas tacos on corn tortillas, 1 pastor tacos on corn tortilla, and 1 barbacoa gorditas. Its small, tasty and the 4 sauces were all good from non spicy to hot spicy. Overall food was delicious. this is a family owned restaurant. parking is free. I will definitely check this place out again if im in town.

I had searched for«tacos» on Unilocal — that is what I was craving today. I came across this restaurant and decided to check it out. I proceeded to the counter to look over the menu. After looking at the pictures I was not sure that I wanted tacos anymore. The Gorditas looked very tempting. So those were what I ordered. I ordered three different types of gorditas. I loved all three of them. Regardless of the type ordered, they were all juicy, flavorful, and very hot. If I had more room I would have ordered more — they were that good! The restaurant appeared to be family ran. It was homey and very clean. I am trying to be more stingy with my five star ratings, but this place earned one. I cannot wait to go back! Gorditas all the way!!!

This place is conveniently located a minute from my home. I believe there’s been at least 4 or 5 different restaurants in the past 6 years in the same location that have all f failed. I think this one will stick around for a while. They have the most friendly elderly man waiting on tables and constantly checking to make sure that the customers have everything that they need. The menu selection is not that big. However they do have a pretty good variety of items to choose from. I gave their Menudo a try. It’s not the best I’ve had(I mostly eat homemade Menudo from my dad), but it will do if your craving it. I’ve also had their fajita tacos, which were quite tasty. They were just a little on the small side. One of the downfalls is on weekend mornings, they don’t offer dishes or tacos that include eggs. Only meat items. I did see a sign that said that they sell breakfast tacos on the weekdays for $ 1.50. I can’t wait to try them.
