What’s not to like about Lupe. Drinks are good. Food is outstanding and portions crazy. Service was good to a fault. I think everyone working in the restaurant stopped by the table to ask how we were doing and how was the food. Now that I’m coming to Houston on a regular basis Lupe is a lock for each trip.

Service sucks. Food is better at Pappasitos! And same price. I won’t go here anymore.

What a cool place! Came here with some fellow flight attendant classmates one night for dinner after a long of day of training. The atmosphere was fantastic, I thought we were in mexico for a split second. They have outdoor seating with fire pits and all in the sand! We shared 2 rounds of Margheritas and oh my word, yummy! We ordered chips with salsa, bean dip, and queso. Delish!!! We all loved our entrees as well. I had a grilled chicken with jalapeños and cheese. Mmmm. We all had a great dining experience.

I’ve never had bad service here until today. We had to ask for water, silverware, and even had to ask if we could have dessert because the server brought our check instead of asking if we would like dessert. The coffee we ordered was cold, and we informed the floor manager about the lousy service and she only said she would look into it. With Mamacitas and Pappasitos in such close vicinity, they really should try to cater more toward their guests. This is our last time coming to this location.

First off let me say that the food is really good. I am not disputing that at all. That is if you can even get it. The reason for the bad review is that the service is horrible. I mean god awful. I went there last week for a business lunch and it took an hour and a half. There was not any sense of urgency on the server. Today it was much worse. We didn’t even get our food today and finding a manager was near impossible. I finally had to make my way to the bar and the bartender found her. after almost 40 minutes we decided we had to get back to work and we were full from eating the chips. As we were leaving they finally brought our food out but it was too late. The manager said she comped it but I would rather eat and pay for it. I will not go here again. There is a pappasitos and a Gringos on 45 that i can go to. Maybe I will get a togo order if I am craving it. too bad.

Great, friendly service and awesome food. I highly recommend the carne asada, fish tacos, chicken Lupe, their appetizer chips and beans are amazing, and their house margarita is top shelf. Definitely made with fresh real lime juice, but be careful they are strong! Nice outside dining area, also have TVs outside.

I have been looking for months for a great Mexican Restaurant in the area and finally found it. We sat outside in a nicely landscaped area with perfect weather. We all had chicken and beef fajitas that were really good. The tortillas are YUMMY! The pace of the meal was good but make sure you ask for everything when the waiter is at your table because it take around 10 minutes to get refills or other items. However, I will be a regular here and bring friends with me.

Food was ok. At the beginning they give you salsa and beans. Waitress wasn’t very attentive or friendly.

This place is lovely The atmosphere is great. They have this rib app that is amazing I would recommend everyone try it once. I’ve tried most their dishes and I’ve never been disappointed.

Love this place, when in Houston I always stop in for lunch. I have ordered the spinach and mushroom enchiladas, the chile relleno and the guacamole. It’s really really good even for a chain. I wish they would open up in so cal

Got really bad food poisoning last year. Caused me to have a small tear in my colon from the after affects. After a year of going back and forth to the doctor due to the food poisoning, I had to have surgery to correct the issue caused by the food poisoning. Be careful when eating here. Food does taste good, but I have lost trust in this location’s staff. I feel they are not careful when handling the food.

Make sure to have enough time on your hands! Lupe tortilla is good, basically everything I have ever ordered has been good. But the service here is lacking. Servers are friendly and polite but disappear for long intervals and make a lunch time visit almost impossible.

I’ve been eating at this place for years! Always the same, the best fajitas in town and great service!

Ugh, I hate to give bad reviews but I have to! To clear things up, the service was great! Our server was funny, tentative, and friendly which is what I liked about this place… and that was it!(I know I probably got on his nerves too). The food however, a huge disappointment! We got two dips(beans and pico) then we asked for a green salsa which was given to us, then since we still didn’t like anything we requested the creamy green salsa and still was yucky! The pico’s tomatoes were old and due to that squishy to eat(not crunchy like fresh tomatoes do). The beans were plain. No taste and did not see the purpose of them unless they were given to each of us to individually consume. The green salsa was very sour. The tomatillos were sour which happens when they are old and tasteless. The green creamy salsa was just sour cream with that same green salsa and water! I ordered the green enchiladas and just got worst… the same salsa was poured on my enchiladas, the rice was burnt, and of couse the pico’s tomatoes old once again. This is probably my last time here for lunch, or ever. Maybe I am very picky or this isn’t my type of food since it does attract a different kind of demographic which I do not fall into. Again, this is just on their food NOT the service!

I’m no expert on Tex-Mex but when I travel to Houston this place is where I go for Mexican food. A friend introduced me to this place and I have to say they have best fajitas ever. The meats are tasty and the tortillas are hand made. Portions are huge! Now when I’m home, No other place compares.

This location is located right off of 45 between Richey and Airline on the freeway(facing north on the left side). I came here tonight with my brother and we both were craving tacos. Parking wasn’t bad at all and there was no wait to get seated. When we entered the place was live and full of different parties having a good time. Definitely more lively than I expected for a Tuesday night or something. We decided to get a split of chicken and fajita beef tacos with rice and beans. The chicken and beef were seasoned and cooked very well and tender. I can tell they were made fresh and just came out. The flour tortilla were very warm and great tasting and somewhat sweet where I would have no problem eating the bread alone. The beans were ok. Nothing to spectacular about the rice. I don’t recall seeing lettuce because there was a big chunk of guacamole over the veggies that go inside your taco. I’m not a fan of the guac… Just me personally. The server was great and she made sure if we needed anything and kept refilling my drinks which I loved. I didn’t have to cluelessly look around trying to find«where’s Wally» lol If I’m craving Mexican food I’ll come here. It’s consistent with their food. I like that and service is great.

Came in with a large group(12). The staff couldn’t have been better and the food was excellent. After getting our order, the waitress(manager?) made sure to confirm with everyone she got it right. Drinks never went empty and everybody liked their meals. Great job!

I really like coming here. I the food for dine in is much better than the take out. The chips and salsa are rather tasty but didn’t have me sold. The margaritas on the other hand are…4 later and well… Shit anything is good. However that still did not effect my judgement. I would have to say that the dish I ordered was what had me sold. My awesome waiter suggested it for me, it was the spinach and mushroom enchilada with 3 different types of sauces drizzled across on top.(Crème, tamatillo, avacado) It came with grilled corn on the cob topped with queso fresco and a little lime wedge. Let’s just say it was so, so so, good. I’m not even a fan of enchiladas but this was a unique exception. Brilliant.

This is the Lupe Tortilla on 45 near Greenspoint. Excellent. MUCH better than Mamacita’s next door! Service is better, food is better… We all know and love Lupe, so I won’t go in-depth. We ordered guac, but it wasn’t the tableside, so be sure you specify if you want the fresh tableside guac. They also have a good Vegetarian Menu section, so brownie points for that!

I haven’t tried many Mexican restaurants in H town but was craving some hand made tortillas. Food: Ordered a steak with beans and rice after asking the bartender about the fajitas. I’m glad he suggested it as an option because the fajitas were entirely too much for one. It was also cheaper. The meat was thicker than what I’m used to eating as carne asada but it was still good. The rice wasn’t for me and the tortillas and beans were good. While waiting for my food, he brought out salsa and charro beans which were so good. They had the perfect amount of spice to them. Good spot for happy hour.
