Shaina Nails

Ok so… I honestly don’t know where to start.
My sister and I are looking for a new salon. We found this one on Unilocal and decided to call based off of the first picture with the nude stiletto nails. We called and asked Kim when would be a good time to come. Kim said to come at 2:30pm. We got there a little early maybe 2:05pm so I knew we would be waiting for a little bit. Kim knew exactly what we were getting when we called before even coming so there is no excuse for me having to be in a nail salon from 2:00pm to 7:00pm!!! Anyway back to me review. My sister went in about 10 minutes before me so when I came in she was already sitting in the pedicure chair. I walked straight to the chair next to her as no one even greeted me or asked what I wanted. My pedicure started about 25 minutes after I got there which was fine because we were early. I chose from the amazing catalog of colors that they have. My pedicure went by quickly and the older lady that did it was wonderful. Next Kim sends her daughter over to us to let us know that my sisters nails would have to be soaked off before Kim started on my them. Why didn’t Kim decide this before so that she could be soaking during the pedicure? Because Kim was trying to by time for the 3:30pm appointment that she failed to tell us that she already had scheduled. We’ll go ahead and skip through the rest of the waiting because I’m sure you get that point by now.
So she is finally starting on my nail after 5:30pm. I got a refill and she fixed 2 nails that I had broken. The job was absolutely horrible none of my nails are the same shape and none of them are the same length! I told her that I wanted to go from square to coffin. She shaped one nail and I could she that didn’t get what I was saying so I showed her 2 different pictures. She said this would be difficult because I wasn’t getting a brand new set. Ok, I’m a very understanding person as you can see since I waited 3 hours for her to even start my freaking nails! So I told her just try and get as close as possible because I was not about to sit and soak off my nails for another hour. She does my nails and the 2 that she fixed look worse than my other nails!
They were polite and offered me water and soda on many different occasions. Kim’s daughter did actually try to blame my at the end of all this saying «next time you should make an appointment.» I informed the 12 or 13 child (that so rudely offered unwarranted advice to an adult), that my sister and I had called ahead and were told to come at 2:30pm and that I was very tired and did not was to talk to anyone else until it was time for me to pay and leave.
At the end of all of it I still feel like I over paid even after Kim gave me a very small discount.

I really enjoyed my visit. Both ladies were awesome and attentive. Did a great job and I’ll definitely be back! Thank you for wonderful service.

Everything is new and upgraded! Love the workers and the new management. Tools are sterilized and neat with good customer service. Defiantly coming back to this salon!

Kim does a great job of being neat and precise with the color and shape of my nails!
I got my nails not too short and not too long with a sky blue shellac. I love how she took her time and didn’t rush. She was also humble the whole time and didn’t seem bothered about staying later.
In the end, my nails turned out exactly how I wanted and beautiful!

Kim is the best! I used to visit her at a nail shop in Pearland, then I would drive to Memorial. She’s very attentive and makes sure you get exactly what you want.

First time here and it was great. Mary and Catherine were professional and worked patiently and carefully.

I love this nail shop! Kim did an amazing job on my nails and Amy made my toes flip flop fabulous! Great location, store front is a bit dated but overall definitely thumbs, wait wait manicured thumbs up!

I love this place! Kim is amazing she always does my nails so beautifully! I’m really hard on my nails & I broke one & she fixed it for me for free. Anything you need done she takes care of you. The quality is just so amazing & everyone is so hospitable & nice.

Was very pleased with the service and my nails Kim does an amazing job and very funny. Will definitely come back!

Do not judge this place on first impressions. You must try it out with an open mind and get to know Julie. I was so ready to give this place a mediocre review but then they made me feel at home, they made me laugh, they welcomed me back and then they did an excellent job on my pedicure. Damn, I did not want to like them this much. So, if you are use to Canyon Ranch, drop your diva at the door and get one of the best pedicures in the Memorial/​DA area, then you can thank me. My spa pedi was $ 30. I should also note that I have gnarly feet, I walk around with flip flops & bare feet, my heels are nasty but not anymore. Your welcome.

I chose the salon because of all of the amazing Unilocal reviews. I am so glad that I did! Beause of the bad weather, they were a little late in opening the salon today. All of the girls were extremely friendly! Kim is the one that did my manicure today. I will definitely be going back to see her. She went above and beyond what I asked her to do. I have never had anybody that took the amount of time she did to make sure that everything was perfect.

I took my mom here for Mother’s Day because our usual place didn’t open on Sunday’s. Kim, the owner, noticed my mom being uncomfortable with her being loud but had good intentions and came over to apologize for her voice.
The first woman who did my nails, and who never told me her name, had made the colors all uneven shades by un-​proportionally putting them in the solar rays, Ms. Kim noticing, came over to fix them. Thankfully, the nails came out amazing after she redid them for me.
The prices were reasonable and everything was nicely organized. I will most likely come back but not

Came here because of the positive Unilocal reviews. The staff was extremely friendly and Julie made sure I was happy with my pedicure. My daughter got the kids mani pedi with a flower design and she loved it.

Good friendly service at a great value. I got a basic pedi ($ 25) which includes callus removal, sugar scrub, massage on top of the regular pedi services. They did a great job and my feet feel super smooth; better than most of the avg nail salons I’ve been to.
They did not rush the job and spent almost a full hour although they were very busy. The owner, Kim, is very nice and attentive such as offering complimentary beverages. Highly recommended!

So glad the reviews on this place were right! This place has become my new go to nail salon. The service is friendly, quick, and attentive. The staff is inclusive in their conversations (not always the case at other salons).
The woman taking care of me today was extremely nice. She took about an hour to do the deluxe pedicure ($ 30) which includes a paraffin wax or hot stone treatment. Everything here is sanitary. I’ll definitely be back!

Shania nails! Used to go there and stopped! Different people all the time and they were sooo rude! Techs used each other’s utensils never saw them clean! Will never go back! Glad or should I say lucky that I did not get fungus!’ Thanks for the tip!

First time there tonight… Julie and Melanie were great. They tag teamed me on a mani/​pedi and then Julie waxed my brows! Easy and convenient location, clean salon, attentive and friendly staff and good prices! What more do you need? The hot stones are the business!

I went to this salon for the first time today. I was feeling a bit stuffy from allergies. Jacob gave the best mani/​pedi massage with really nice pressure and even put some white flower oil on my legs and arms to help with my breathing. The other nail technicians there were very nice. I will be going again.
The only downside is that he checked his cell phone every five minutes and texted a lot while he was doing my pedicure, so I feel that it took longer than it should have.
