Reliably delicious flat whites, friendly barista, a warm, flaky La Boulange croissant. What else can one ask for?

Really great service. The baristas are nice, friendly. Overall a typically great Starbucks experience. It’s just a little tight, you’ll almost inevitably end up sitting with a stranger if you’re sticking around for a while. And parking is nearly impossible(parked abt two blocks away). But then again it is located in a college village, so walkable is best, right!

They were open on Thanksgiving. I have mixed feelings about that, but I was glad for a place to get a hot drink and to hang out and chat with my friends while we toured the desolate Village shopping area. Every time I have stopped in, service has been prompt and happy. Drinks always come out just right and the facilities are clean and cheerful. I like this location very much.

For chain coffee, this location has it down. Get a clover brewed coffee while you are there and you will not be disappointed. The barista’s are also super friendly and on top of their game.

I’m pretty sure Rice Village would implode if there wasn’t a Starbucks, but this one is just so tiny. The line, like any, is hit or miss, and while I don’t think the service is slow, you do encounter some long wait times just because of the sheer numbers. Also it sounds like I’m not the only one who’s gotten the wrong drink made here, and that should be a rarity. It drives me nuts that the area where you’d normally wait for your drink is so small that you’re either blocking the walk way, leaning on someone’s table, or standing outside the restroom. Additionally, the place comfortably seats maybe 20(I haven’t actually counted). I really don’t get my hopes up when I have studying to do because I know I probably won’t get a spot here. That being said, the baristas are normally pretty nice, and if you take your drink to go, you probably won’t have many complaints. Also, when I need my soy pumpkin spice latte in the villlage, I need it, so I’ll continue to visit this Starbucks out of pure convenience.

I asked for a venti vanilla late on their drive thru and the guy with the dreadlocks gave me a grande and poured it on a venti cup. I just noticed it when i arrived at work. this guy needs some learning to do.

Not to shabby of a Starbucks but it’s small so you may not be able to find a seat. Also parking in the area can be a pain depending on the time you go. I came here twice in about two weeks and ordered the same thing, my drink tasted different each time. So I’m not to sure what’s going on with that. It was fine both times, but not amazing either time. Of course I may just be bad at picking drinks that I like… who knows. If you are in Rice Village and need a Frappé, or if you need a place to meet a date in the area, I can’t suggest anywhere better.

Had a terrible experience here. Went in with 5 minutes left until closing, the staff was very rude. One of the staff members walked around telling customers to leave and was incredibly impolite. She then held the door open and started yelling when we were still waiting for our drinks. Is it possible to give her zero stars? 10⁄10 would do so.

Love this location. No other Starbucks makes my drinks right!!! Drinks are made fast even with long lines. Perfect for studying. Workers are very friendly! Never had a bad experience and I go almost every day :))))))

This place is a pretty generic Starbucks — small, packed, mediocre service and with minimal seating. For being in Rice Village, I was expecting a bit better quality service and location. Because of its close quarters, it may be hard to study in this location. Because it is close to campus, I may be back for a quick fix, but the nearby Kirby location is much friendlier — if not just as small.

Isabel and her team our amazing. I have never had a bad experience at this location. I visit here close to 5 times a week. I’m a manger at another retail location in the village! They remember my drink and are always so friendly.

Just an average Starbucks… Was here for a winter star-dash, the peppermint latte was good. Only thing is that I mistook the line for restroom for the line for coffee. Super awkward… But I got what I wanted and so did everyone else lol.

It’s a small Starbucks but a good location for you to get your coffee and leave to walk around/shop in the area.

This is just a small starbucks location in Rice Village. I’m not going to say it’s much worst or better than any other starbucks location. I have used their facilities for a couple of work meetings since it is somewhat centralized. Parking in this area is hell, it is rice village. But I have grabbed a drink from here and continued shopping while in rice village, so you get what you get, just don’t expect much from these mega chains and you won’t be disappointed.

Very busy always, extremely limited space, slow service for a storefront place that is not burdened by an additional drive-thru. The best thing it had going for it years ago was you would stop here for a coffee after dollar beer night at TwoRows before walking home. TwoRows has been gone for so many years now the memory of the TwoRows-fueled good times here have all but faded from the world and I just remember how grumpy I am waiting in line for slow service to provide me with my coffee.

The baristas here are awesome, but the wait is usually ridiculous. I guess that’s my bad for going to a Starbucks near Rice, since the neighborhood probably drinks more coffee per capita than the rest of Houston, but it’s annoying. Did I mention the baristas are awesome? They really are! I wish there were a way to tip on my Starbucks card or credit card because I almost never have cash and want to find a way to thank them for all their great suggestions, jokes, and generally contagious good attitude.

It’s 7:30PM and my friends and I were walking around the area when we’ve decided to stop in for some hot drinks. We ordered 2 separate orders of hot chocolate and another separate order of a café latte. It wasn’t crowded at all so we assumed that our orders would come quickly. After constantly seeing people who came in after us get their drinks, we questioned them about our order. They told us they were making it so we went to sit down. After seeing even more people who came in after us get their orders, we reminded them again and that’s when the barista actually began to make one of our orders(the hot chocolate). The two remaining orders took another process of waiting and skipping and reminding before we finally got them… Granted there were only two people working at the time and they were probably tired after a long day’s work, but it was not crowded at all. 1) When we first questioned them, the guy who took our orders told us that he forgot to mark our order so the barista did not see it to make it. Fair enough. 2) However, after that excuse, they still didn’t make our drinks until we had to stand there and remind them for the fifth time. 3) Other people who came in after us who ordered the same things as us got their drinks before us. 4) I would have been sympathetic if they weren’t rude about it. In fact, the barista was on her phone before we had to bother her about our orders. Despite the constant predicaments, they only apologized once in the beginning with a quick«sorry». I’ve always received decent to great service at the Starbucks I’ve been to, but the service at this one was horrible. I guess I was just unlucky tonight for running into these two. P. S. The hot chocolate I got tasted more like foam than chocolate. Gross.

Although this is in a nice location, it is always very busy and packed to the brim. However, this Starbucks does not or is unable to bring in new staff, so they are consistently backed up resulting in 15 – 25 minute waits. One Saturday morning, I went in at around 9AM and had to wait 30 minutes. So if you have the time, stop by. Otherwise, you’re better off finding a different location.

Typical super crowded Starbucks. Here are a few good things to know if you’re looking to study here: — Ambient music is classical. — Loud/crowded most the time, lots of loud convos going on and people in and out. — Pretty small space: hard to find a table after 2−3pm. Not too many students, mostly people shopping in the village. — I like that there’s a water pitcher and cups near the pickup area so you can help yourself instead of bothering a barista. — 2 – 3 outlets along the wall in the main area. — Temp in here is good. Not freezing, not humid/hot. — Wifi is free and reasonably fast.
