I feel like ever since they renovated this location the service hasn’t been great. Last time I’ve been here I was the only one waiting inside the store while they were attending the drive thru. There were at least 2 – 3? people behind the counter and no one attended to me. I waited about 10 min. I knew they saw me too. Now I order this drink and their machine is down so they can only make a regular tea. I’m still waiting for my drink. I already finished my sandwich. Shouldn’t take that long to make tea vs a frapp. Sigh… I only came here bc I have a gift card. Wow they forgot my drink.

I just stopped in to get my favorite holiday drink and the employees were not very friendly to me. Needless to say I will not be coming back to this location.

This location is located in a busy area near Rice Village. Parking is difficult due to a small parking lot. Drive-thru is super slow and when you try to get out of the drive-thru, there’s traffic on Kirby that kind of makes it difficult to leave. Avoid this location in the mornings as it will take forever to get your drinks.

The layout of the parking lot isn’t that great but the drive thru is fairly quick(when compared to other Starbucks locations). The staff was friendly and they made my drink right. I usually go to the Starbucks on s shepherd but I think this is going to be my new go-to location.

I expected much better service and quality from Starbucks. I come to this one because it’s the only one on my way to work(unfortunately). The drive thru line is always wrapped around the parking lot, and takes entirely way too long. It seems like they’re way understaffed and they’re always out of something(bagels, etc.). Also, my drink is never full when I receive it. Why am I paying $ 5 for a latte when it’s not even a full cup? Also, I ordered a «skinny white mocha latte» — because it tastes better than the regular. I order that at every single Starbucks I ever go to, and this location didn’t seem to know what I was talking about. I probably would’ve had better luck had I gone in there and made my drink myself. The employees don’t even make up for it, because they’re not friendly at all and provide terrible customer service. I guess they don’t care because they’re Starbucks and know people will continuing going. I’d go to a different location if that’s an option for you.

I ordered on the mobile app and went it to pick up my drink because the drive thru line was down the block. After standing and waiting for a few minutes I asked if they received a mobile order, they looked and had. If I hadn’t have asked I might still be standing there. I saw several bugs flying around the drink prep area. Not a super positive experience. I won’t be back to this location.

I’m basic enough to go to Starbucks for iced coffee at least 3x a week and I’ve noticed that the service at this location is consistently below what you’d expect from Starbucks. The service is way better at the Rice Village location, but sometimes when you just went to a morning gym class you wanna apply your mascara while waiting in the drive thru line, am I right? This location is often out of things or understaffed. One day, there was an employee’s car blocking the drive thru and I went inside and there was only one employee — poor gal. I’d love to see this location step their game up b/c then they could share the crowds with the Rice Village location and everyone would get their coffee faster.

Unimpressive layout, difficult seating. Great drive thru. Good WiFi because there’s very limited seating.

I walked in and the barista was super sweaty and he cleaned off his sweat with a paper towel and set it on the counter. Then he started making my tea without washing his hands at all. I walked right out. Gross. Terrifying and gross. Go to a different one, you guys.

They get one star because Unilocal won’t let it be lower. The drive through had two cars, and the inside wasn’t bad, but we waited for 15 minutes. By the time we got to the front the barista gave me a hot coffee when I ordered an iced, and gave my girlfriend a coffee without the syrup in it. They finally got it right, we left, only to find out my coffee that they had to fix was just iced with half and half, no syrup or anything Will never go back. Second bad experience there.

I thought all SBUX are the same. Or should be. We were in the Baytown area over the weekend and spotted this SBUX after a long drive down Garth headed back to I-10. Why not … who wouldn’t want a cool and refreshing Passion tea from the drive through. Not sure if there was a large Girl Scout troop or a convention in town that just happened to hit the restaurant right before we did, but the drive through was at a standstill. Forget this … Wanted to go inside, but was already locked into place by the car in front and the one behind. So we waited, and waited and finally inched up to the order board. They got the order right, but with three more cars in front and the hour inching by in 5 minute increments, I wondered if they only had a few people on staff. Partner couldn’t hold his bladder any longer so bolted out to use the restroom inside. On his return, I asked if the restaurant was full or if they didn’t have staff and he shook his head in the negative. They were fully staffed. I may never know the reason for the delay, but it took a good 15 minutes to get through the drive through for a frappé and a tea. Nothing extravagant or mind-blowing about our orders. If you’re in the Baytown area, bring a book and certainly don’t use the drive thru here if you can avoid it.

I’ve been here several times and really it’s hit or miss but it’s on the way to work so somedays you just have to take a gamble. The drive thru is pretty busy as can be expected given the location. Sometimes they can completely screw up your order like they attempted to hand me 3 different and incorrect drinks until they finally got it right. Then I had to ask for Splenda bc it wasn’t sweet enough and the guy was like is equal ok?(insert eye roll) ummm well is Monopoly money ok?! No. Well then I guess not.

25 min for 2 coffee in the drive thru. Horrible. And the employees were yelling at each other. Another Starbucks fail.

Hands down favorite starbucks. I have consistently amazing service here. Every barista is always helpful and in a great mood. If the drive thru line is long they are extra apologetic. As a former starbucks employee I can relate on how easy it is to become frustrated by one person or one missed drink. They never seem to show it. I think the team is a reflection of the shift on duty and they all seem to be pleasant. Today was extra special… there was no one in the drive thru line, the barista happily took my order(Alex I think) and when I got up to the window they gave me an extra special treat with my drink! A warm oatmeal cookie and a sweet note! I will only come to this starbucks from now on!

This Starbucks is great for studying because it’s open late. The baristas are also really friendly at this location. There are usually enough tables open, a good number of outlets and it’s well-lighted. BUT, it’s always freezing in here. It’s okay for the first 30 minutes, but then if I stay any longer than that, then I feel like I’m in the Arctic. Eventually, I stop feeling my fingers and it makes it very hard to study. Turn up the temperature please and I would love to study here more!

My local, favorite & super Starbucks location. You can probably think that once you go to a Starbucks is like being in all of them, but this one is different. The customer service make the difference!!! Great, is like part of your family, they know you and do their best to remember your favorite drink. After some refurbishment the place looks nicer!

I’ve always liked this location with exception to the parking situation. Ugh! The new/recent remodel makes a lot more sense and there is a ton more seating space now and the patio is much better utilized.

This Starbucks has THEBEST customer service of any Starbucks that I’ve ever been to. I go here almost everyday and the staff has made a point to get to know me personally and always ask about my day/how I’m doing. They’re a group of people who know how to have fun at work while being fast and efficient. My orders are always weird and semi-complicated and they’re always accommodating and haven’t once gotten my order wrong in 6+ months. I also appreciate that they continue to make drinks until they close at 11PM. I’ve been to other Starbucks locations that have locked their doors 15 minutes before the official closing time! The only reasons that I can’t give this place 5 stars are 1) the parking is AWFUL and it can be hard to find a spot during the day and 2) the temperature inside is usually freezing — they’ve had the air conditioning running even in December.
