Sushi is great, but I like my rolls that stick together. Some of my rolls fell apart. The snow cone roll is really good. I like how you get miso soup and edamame as a free side.

I just want say that although it’s not entirely authentic the menu might be, but anyways, it was delicious and I highly recommend the chicken teriyaki bowl. Thumbs up from both of my boys and they are picky eaters. Friendly atmosphere and always quick service and so sweet. I love coming here and very competitively priced. I love the different choices for rolls and they are pretty generous. The food is fresh. I highly recommend a date night or just for brunch. It’s perfect and very private. It’s not always crowded the times I have been. It has been very empty, so that’s a plus. Everything is delicious! I love trying different rolls and I like to have different ones everytime I come. So far they have been great! Definitely come by when you are in the area and they offer lunch deals everyday of the week!

Came to this Sushi joint on 12/18/2015. Wasn’t impressed by the sushi because I had the Maguro tuna, philadelphia, crunchy rolls, and it didn’t taste very fresh. The tuna was pasty and when you bite into it, it didn’t melt in your mouth but rather just glued to it. I wasn’t sure whether I should spit it out or just swallow it whole. I had to swallow it in the end since it was already paid for but the rest of the sushi wasn’t impressive as well. Don’t think I’ll be coming back again, perhaps lunch time was a bit more fresh on the selection when I came during that time.

The sushi is always fresh. And the wait staff is always prompt and attentive. They bring you free appetizers consisting of miso soup and edamame. To me, that’s an added bonus. Their Nikko roll is always very satisfying and delicious. Very causal place. So dress comfy and come ready to eat.

This place is conveniently located near my home, so I’ve visited often. I really like the Décor, and love to sit at the bar to eat. The food is always been great and the staff has always done an excellent job!

Went with a group of 10. Amazing sushi & service. Zero complaints… the sushi was fresh and beautifully prepared. Sashimi was delightful as was the spider roll. We also enjoyed some saki that was light and crisp… wish I remembered the name! The server was great at keeping our drinks refilled and plates cleared. Can’t wait to go back!!!

We went on a Saturday for lunch & I was impressed despite some of the reviews. Their service was great. Fast & friendly. The food was absolutely delicious! The sushi was made up to our standards. My husband doesn’t eat a lot of sushi & he loved it. We ordered chicken & shrimp fried rice, an item not shown in the menu, & it was amazing. Everything was perfect. This may our new to go place for sushi.

This is one of my go-to lunch spots. The sushi here is always great. I’m very picky about my sushi and I think Sushi Nikko always has fresh and quality ingredients. As far as their non-sushi items such as teryaki chicken, the salad, etc– it’s alright; but that’s not what I go there for. And the rolls here have always been delicious! This is a really good place for lunch. Their lunch specials are a really good deal– much less expensive than most sushi places, and personally leaves me full. I also like that they give you edamame before your meal so you have something to eat while you wait. My one biggest complaint is the sashimi. I’ve gotten it in the past and it was great– but lately I’ve been disappointed. The pieces were small and poorly cut– like someone just thoughtlessly hacked off a chunk of fish… and this has happened to me at least 3 times now. Why?! The service here is just fine. The hostess has always seated us the second we walk in the door. The have overly-attentive waiters that are quick to refill your drink.

Went this past Saturday. Service was ok. Food was blah. The ingredients were less than par. Edamame was fine but you just throw those babies in boiling water and splash some salt on it before you serve, not hard to do. Miso soup was bad but only because the tofu was sour and spoiled. I’ve had spoiled tofu at Chinese restaurants before but never in the miso soup of a Japanese one. Baked mussels were the worst we’ve ever had. It was burnt. A slight char is ok and we actually don’t mind more char but this was burnt. There’s a difference. Ordered 3 rolls and 2 orders of sashimi. Salmon sashimi was ok but the tuna was old and broke apart as you tried to clamp it with your chopsticks like mushy tuna tar tar, except it wasn’t. The rolls were awful. We only ate the hungry roll and took the others to go because we didn’t want to waste food but never ate it. Maybe we’ve been spoiled by other awesome Japanese restaurants around town… From Blue by Eiffel 65 to Billionaire by Bruno on high volume echoing on the walls, every other song made us choke a little. The entire experience wasn’t worth the price. You’re better off elsewhere.

Big on quantity and low on quality is my first thought. Which is a shame as this used to be our go-to wkd place for take-out sushi. Have found it’s highly inconsistent. Some times, it’s been great and other times(most recently last night) it was very poor. The lesson, pay a little more and go to Matsu sushi where it’s always good.

Sushi Nikko is absolutely amazing. This place was recommended to me by my bf’s bro. He had apparently come here one day for lunch. I was a little concerned because all of his past sushi experiences have resulted in food poisoning sagas. But I digress. Upon entrance, the hostess properly greeted us and led us to the booth. Our server was a little all over the place. First of all she brought us our menus and asked us to wait before she can get our order. She went and took care of another customer and came back and told us that they didn’t tell her before that they wanted separate checks. Apparently once you have put in an order, it is difficult to split the check. That is fine. We proceeded with caution. They bring you complimentary edamame and miso soup. Best miso soup I have had in Houston thus far. I ordered the bento box and everything was beautifully set and tasted equally delicious. We did not have room for dessert. My green tea was warm and refreshing. I did not like how their soda machine had no flavor. When we ordered the coke it was flat, and when we asked for the Dr. Pepper it tasted bad as well. I would love to keep going to this place if it wasn’t so out of my way.

I usually come here because of my coworkers not wanting to pay a lot or drive far from our work place. I do love that they give you free Edamame and miso soup during lunch. The sushi isn’t always the best. I enjoyed the super crunchy roll and liked their yellowtail collard. It can be a bit greesy sometimes but I’ve enjoyed it a great deal. The restaurant can be smelly at time. It smells like it was cleaned with some cheap soap. Service has been good for me. Waitresses are nice and food come out pretty fast. Again, I would come back if I have to but not too particular care for it since a better sushi place is down the street.

This was my first time going here and it wasn’t bad but it wasn’t amazing. We arrived for dinner and the atmosphere of this place was enjoyable and dim. The meal came with a complimentary edamame(which was over cooked so it was quite soggy and broke apart) and miso soup that seemed a bit diluted. I came with a group and we ordered two rolls, salmon sashimi and a bento box. The bento was fairly well priced and you got a variety of items to choose from for your bento. The salmon sashimi was a good texture it just had ripped when I was given it. And the two rolls(which I can’t really remember the names) was an eel roll and a crawfish roll that had eel sauce on it wasn’t bad either. As a dessert we ordered the tempura ice cream which had no ice cream in it whatsoever. But our waitress was nice enough to compensate us with Mochi ice cream instead. Overall I’d say the food was a 3.5÷5. The service was a great and our waitress was really friendly and gave us plenty of help when choosing our food. She is probably the reason why I’d give this place a 4 otherwise it’d rate it a 3.

Best sushi I’ve had in months. choice of over 20 maki rolls. I went for creamy ones: fresh fish, excellent sauce, american size. Friendly staff. A must try if you are in SW Houston around the Energy corridor.

Great sushi. They have an awesome atmosphere and great service. You get a lot of food for your money. The head sushi guy is very nice. You get your food very fast! I would recommend this place to everyone.

This is my go-to sushi spot in the energy corridor simply because they are so quick and it’s perfect for take out. The ladies who work there are so nice and already know me by name and what I order. The freshness of the sushi is mediocre. It’s never really consistent here. Sometimes the fish tastes very fishy and sometimes it tastes clean and fresh. The one roll that I actually crave here is the genki roll. It’s eel and crab inside and salmon on top. All of my favorites in one roll. I just wish the salmon was thicker cut on top. Again, something they are inconsistent with. The honorable mentions here are the baked salmon roll. the Ichiban roll and the volcano roll is pretty good. I also like to get the seaweed salad and their miso soup.

Big portions, great service, lots of roll options. Good place to quench your sushi appetite. Beef tataki was like a thinly sliced overcooked ribeye. Baked muscles lacked the muscles.
