The vibe you get when you first walk in is very… unwelcoming… I think this is because I’m always the ONLY customer in there…(I used to come around 12:05 pm — 1 ish because I worked in the area) The worker is standing behind the counter watching TV or on the phone(I awkwardly try to sneak in past them to the back) One thing I really hate about this place is asking for samples… As described in reviews from other Unilocalers, the worker steps from behind the counter, walks to you and serve you the sample(in as little amount as possible –like a drop) I usually ask for 2 samples– ATMOST… it is just too awkward for me… being the only customer there… I don’t dare to ask to sample all the flavors. I always end up getting the usual… the tart flavors… I’ve also tried their smoothies which taste ok. It also depends on who’s making it because it can be off sometimes. The yogurts are ok, toppings are ok(a lot of variety) — no complaints. This place was only convenient for me because I worked nearby. Will I go out of my way to have yogurt from here or crave from this place? maybe not.

Well I can see I’m far from the first person to complain about their sampling policy but it’s worth doing again. The staff are apathetic at best, unfriendly at worst. When you ask for a sample cup they come from behind the counter to dispense it for you. I’d rather not put my mouth that close to a little cup someone else was just handling. This does not seem sanitary. I agree with other reviewers… Staff don’t seem to WANT to give samples and make you feel uncomfortable so you end up picking something without knowing your options and feeling irritated. I’m an adult; you don’t trust me not to abuse the sample policy? And after that unpleasant experience, the yogurt is sub par. Take your business down the street to Orange Leaf. It is worth the 5 minute drive.

Prett bad frozen yogurt, and apathetic service. unlike most other froyo places, the staff does not let you sample the flavors yourself — someone comes and does it for you… which makes you uncomfortable trying a variety of flavors. Would not recommend.

As a previous customer of almost all the other Swirll locations(Sugarland, Galleria, River Oaks, Rice Village), this was by far my worst experience. All the other locations have fantastic customer service. I don’t care that you’re working in a froyo shop in the middle of December and business is at it’s slowest, have a better attitude at least when a customer walks through the door. When I walked in, both employees were sitting and watching tv and just looked at me when I walked in. What, no greeting? Then I was trying to decide what I wanted and a girl asked if I wanted any samples. I do appreciate the fact that they offered samples, just not the way the acted when they offered me. Also, don’t expect fresh fruit. They all looked mushy and gross. Overall pretty bad customer experience. I could tell the workers didn’t want to be there, and it made me not to be in the store either when I ate my yogurt. Ended up eating outside in the cold to avoid their bad attitude vibe.

Not a great experience here. 1-the employee was too busy watching tv Sixteen Candles was on 2-when asked to sample a flavor she comes out from the counter and serves it for you in the tiny sample cup. Only place I’ve been to that they do this. She was not pleased to do it either. 3-She did not greet us when we came in 4-She questioned my kids choice of topping. Really??? Yes I am the customer remember? 5-Trash can is outside. Really? 6-Red Velvet was runny. Ewwww :(

This is the only yogurt shop I’ve ever been to that if you wanted to try a flavor the employee had to come around and fill up the tiny sample cup for you. I tried one and she walked off. Not knowing what flavors were good meant I didn’t get a lot. The yogurt was fair at best but the lack of service made me never want to go back there. Not friendly, terrible spoons, and no personality in the place.

Very disappointed with everything at this Swirl location. 1. Walked in and was not greeted by any of the staff. They were too busy watching the Disney channel TV show to notice I needed help. This happened twice. 2. The Original Tart Yogurt flavor was off that day. Had An old fermented fruit aftertaste and also felt«fizzy.» Did not taste like tart yogurt. 3. Toppings were not fresh at all! The mochi was very dry and hard. And the cookies were stale and soft, not crispy at all. Overall, a very poor experience and very disappointed. :(

Dont leave your car parked near Swirl then go to City Center … They WILL tow your car. Secret cameras monitor your activity I liked Swirl very much but I suppose that the so-so reviews have to more to do with lack of atmosphere than lack of taste. It was good but with all of the competition and endless yogurt spots in Houston this one does not stand out. The flavors are fine and the toppings are well there but for the money you can go almost anywhere and get the same.

The location is great and perfectly situated after a long day of shopping. Looking back on our trip to Houston this place wasn’t particularly memorable. They were good about identifying which flavors are gluten free. The topping selection was average for self-serve fro-yo places and while the variety of yogurt flavors was good, there was something a little off about some of the flavors. This is still a much better dessert option than that 2000 calorie brownie sundae at the restaurant, but there are better chains out there than this.

Been here several times because I have a friend that loves this place, never seen anyone else here but the two of us, and we do shower daily. The person waiting on us did show me I could pick up a diet coke out of the bin, coke was frozen but no biggie. Halloween specialties, tried 3 different ones, pumpkin not so good unless blended in a martini. Hopefully folks are not sneezing on the toppings, have not had a flu shot yet. Settled on red velvet with a topping, okay nothing special. Skeptical that this is healthy dining, unfortunately machine gave me more than I wanted. Pitched ½ of it, slow learner. Clean restroom, ample seating, easy parking. Give me chocolate brownies if I’m downing calories.

So a few years back we went to Los Angeles and got hooked on Pinkberry. When we returned we made regular Monday night trips to Berrypop. It was the next best thing to Pinkberry at the time. Then Berrypop seemingly lost their mojo(or mission) and the flavors seemed to be consistently more off than on. We were at City Centre one evening and saw the Swirll sign and decided to give it a try. We’ve come back most every Monday since. The gang that works here recognize us and are always friendly. We all have our favorite flavors and, although they swap flavors out from time to time, there is always something that appeals to our taste buds. Like all these by the ounce places, the key is portion control. Don’t be a pig or most selections and toppings can get unhealthy pretty quickly(duh but I see some pretty amazingly bad desserts being constructed by people testing the limits of their athletic inspired clothing). Frugal tip — we selected Monday night since its the beginning of the week and back to work/school. However Monday night is also double stamp night so for a family of 4 that means a discounted yogurt about every second visit!

World’s WORST yogurt! The only reason this place was busy/crowded was due to the great location. I have NEVER had yogurt that tasted so bad. It had the weirdest flavor and I had to throw it out. There was 5 of us eating there and 5 out of 5 hated it. Don’t waste your money!!!

This is my favorite frozen yogurt place, because it has non-tart vanilla ice cream and because of its wide variety of toppings. I guess if I wanted non-tart vanilla ice cream I could go to an actual ice-cream store, but frozen yogurt stores are all the rage now. But none of them have good vanilla ice cream(except Swirll). Also, Swirll has my favorite toppings cookie dough, peanut butter chips, and sour gummy worms. Go here if you don’t care about being healthy(or if you do, it has fruit toppings too).
