I go here every week because there really isn’t a lot of fast food with drive thru options close by here except McDonald’s. Sometimes I’m just to lazy to cook :(so their food is of better quality compared to McDonald’s. Last time they gave me the wrong type of chicken in my burrito, so I called and came back, they gave me a new one. Great customer service.

The cashiers are kind of rude. They always forget to give me my sour cream but the steak fajita plate is amazing! They also seem to not really care if they get your order wrong, but the food is really good!

This location is very quick and always accommodates special requests. Today I ordered two dozen breakfast tacos, and the person taking my order was very concerned that it was going to take longer than 15 minutes for them to fulfill — corn tortillas take extra time as well as ordering a dozen«your choice». I assured him I was willing to wait. 10 minutes later, my two dozen breakfast tacos were being walked out to my car!

I come to this location often but forget to give my two cents I’m so busy I don’t always review until I get a lil down time. I have never had any real problems at all with this location one time I got chicken fajitas instead of steak but the employee made it right w a smile. The employees are friendly and my food is always fresh. I try to come to this location if I can if I’m in the area. When you find a place that’s consistent especially with fast food I tend to stick to them. But so far so good nothing but good experiences.

The food was good for fast food Mexican, but they weren’t very good at keeping their dining area clean.

Each day I visit Taco Cabana for breakfast. The employees are very friendly and the food is great. I would like to commend one employee in particular. Her name is Stephanie Lopez; her bright smile and caring ways just start my day of right. This young lady is always working to make sure you have a pleasant experience. She speaks very highly of her place of business and is a tremendous asset to your company. She would make an excellent manager.

Haven’t been there in a LONG while since being so disappointed w/their Super Nachos on so many occasions. Back in the day, they use to make them so ooey-gooey & full of ingredients, then TC started cutting back when I would order take-out for home. So disappointing w/minimal ingredients, especially the cheese & lots of uncovered tortilla chips. Well… this time I was hopeful… worked till 8:30pm, had skipped lunch, was famished! Thinking about the way the nachos use to be, I decided to hop in line & ask order-taker to please make me an AWESOME batch of Super Nachos w/ground beef & the works & that’s exactly what I got! When I got up to the window, I asked Dana if she made them AWESOME, she just smiled & looked @ me like I was crazy. I asked her to open the container so I could see if I needed to ask for more condiments. She did, they look scrumptious but I did order extra queso, just in case. Got them home & the container is different(large plate w/deep cover on top) & it had shifted in the bag so when I opened it, some of the ooey-gooey had gone up the side. No matter, it was everything I had remembered so long ago! Delish… filling & satisfying! Kudos to Dana & the crew working the night shift @ TC on Tuesday! Y’all made my day! :)

The food usually tastes alright BUT taste is not everything. I ate here a few times to try to get full for little money and quick. On two occasions, we watched as a worker cleaned the glass above the condiment bar with windex and instead of spraying the rag she sprayed the glass and the uncovered food. I am calling the blue liquid in her bottle windex but I guess it might be some organic product. If they are doing this in front of the customers, I wonder what we don’t get to see.

The food here is really good, and the sweet tea is actually sweet. I normally get the street combo number eight. Three tacos chips and cheese and a drink, good deal. I was going to take a picture of my food but it was too good to wait and eat it. Sorry. Service is fast less than 10 min to get my food they bring it to you if you dine in. It wasn’t very busy today though so time may very.

We just ordered take out and wasted $ 20.00 without soft drinks. We got home and the Super Nachos tasted awful! The lid did not fit properly on the container; spilling in the bag. Looked awful and tasted even worse. Ground meat, beans, and cheese tasted like a can of chili was used. The Shrimp Tampico was even worse, if that was possible. Will never waste my money again on this place!

Ordered a bunch if crispy tacos. They were absolutely full of flavor. Salsa and shells were fresh. Just don’t let them sit around or the bottoms fall out. Drive thru was fast. I would definetly visit this location again.

This TC location just lost our(fairly regular) business. As background, we are regular Taco Cabana drive-through customers — once a week or maybe once every two weeks. We split time between this location and the Westheimer and Hwy 6 location.(Lately we’ve been to the other location.) We usually order the same thing: — me: ½ lb steak fajitas, double borracho beans /no rice, no sour cream — wife: bean and cheese burrito, add onion, cilantro, and pico de gallo This time we ordered the above, and I added a large Diet Dr Pepper, and my wife added one order of street tacos. We just finished eating what is possibly the worst Taco C order we’ve ever had. There were no pros; cons were: — took FOREVER to get our order; 10+ minutes at the drive-through window — even though he repeated double beans, no rice — I got single beans + rice — wife’s burrito looked like a pancake with bean smeared on the outside — burrito, street tacos, and fajitas — were all cold and have the appearance of something that’s been cooked since 2:00 pm I could go on … but I will not try this location’s food again. Sorry. Westheimer at Hwy 6 it is — and if not, then I drop Taco C in favor of Freebirds or other quasi-fast-food.

I ordered a two(2) chicken taco combo or plate… I forget which one. The lady asked me if I wanted shredded or fajita chicken. I responded«fajita.» What I got was two pieces of flat bread(too thick and bready to be any kind of tortilla I’ve ever had) with just charred pieces of chicken on them… no cheese, no tomato, no onions, no lettuce, no salsa(not even on the side)… absolutely no toppings what-so-ever. The side I chose was the chips and queso. I’ve had better at 7 – 11. I forget how much the meal was, but I wouldn’t even order this again if it cost a dollar. The one star is for them not screwing up the drink and the lady at the window not having an attitude.

Being married to a Houstonian, I know that every trip to Houston will included at least one meal at Taco Cabana. It’s really great fast food Mexican that I really wish we had in the Cincinnati area. I mainly stick with the steak fajita tacos, but when I’ve had other items, they were good too. When we stopped at this particular location, they were painting the exterior which was impressive since it didn’t really look like it needed. Keeping on top of maintenance like that is a good sign of a well run organization.

It’s been several years since I last went to a Taco Cabana, only because it’s been several years since I have been to Texas. The food is pretty good. I like that they can serve you a beer! The 3 Street Taco Platter was good. The extra two tortillas they give you with the platter come in handy to make a burrito out of the rice, beans, and salad on your plate. Price was fair. Food was made pretty quickly, but the dining area wasn’t very clean. Tables still needed to be wiped down, or wiped again. One of the trash bins was a total mess. It wasn’t busy when I was there.

Great fast food tortillas. I don’t trust the meat, so I don’t eat it here but I heard it’s good.

3 Soft Tacos and Nachos under 7 bucks? I thought the drive thru lady gave me the wrong price but nope, I was nobody special… its the real deal. Whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat! Can’t beat that and not to mention it’s so damn good! I wish NY would open up one here and still charge the same prices. *sigh* My only complaint is I wish they would serve breakfast all day and everyday!

Bless my wonderful boyfriend and his acceptance that I get a bit cranky when I am hungry. So when I mention that I am he knows that it can be minutes before I turn into a shrew(his word, not mine) depending on how hungry I am. I had a hankerin’ for some nachos and sent him on his merry way. What I didn’t know is that he figured Chacho’s was too far away so he opted to go to Taco Cabana. Usually I prefer other places for my take out, fast Tex-Mex but since I chose to keep my lazy butt on the couch I really can’t complain. He arrived back home quickly and upon unpacking the bags, there were 2 items missing. Taco Cabana, to me, is notorious for forgetting things on to-go orders so this was not a surprise. Against my objections, the bf went back to TC to get the missing items. By the time I was feeling a bit shrewish he returned with a FULL replacement order. He said the manager insisted on making everything over for us «fresh». So we ended up with scads of food to put us in a coma for the rest of the day. The nachos were good, the taste hasn’t altered since I first walked through their doors in the 80’s. However, they aren’t the best and I guess if we can’t make it to Chacho’s, this place is better than Taco Bell(ick). The egg & chorizo taco was surprisingly good(I only had a bite). The pico de gallo & hot sauce were fresh and had a nice mild kick. Overall consistent food and excellent service.
