We have an office right down the street from this place so I stop there from time to time. I know some people are scared of eating at places like this, but trust me you have nothing to worry about. This is a way better option than stopping at any of the fast food joints and ordering food. Everything is made on site and is fresh. Homemade tortillas help make these some really good tacos. I usually get the Fajita de Res tacos with cilantro, onions and lime. Very tasty and made fresh while you wait. You have to get a Mexican Coke to wash everything down. There is not seating available, but that does not stop you from taking your food to the car and chowing down. Your order will arrive hot, fresh and be devoured in mere minutes. For 3 tacos and a soda it is only around $ 7 so a terrific bargain. If you are in the area and need a quick fresh meal, give them a try. Trust me, you will like it.

This taco truck, usually adjacent to Wendy’s just north of I-10, has the best corn tortillas I’ve tasted in Houston so far. They make the tortillas right there on the spot! If you want inexpensive tacos and you want them fast, this is the place to go. And usually, I’m more of a carnivore, but their bean, egg, and cheese taco and the nopalitos(cactus) taco are amazing. Their hot sauce is also great. I tried to use the green one sparingly because #1 it was hot, and #2 I wanted to keep some to use later. :) There are a lot of taco trucks for me to try, but I will definitely be back to this one.

I have a whole mess of taco stand reviews to write and I’m still alive. This taco trailer sits on the 2100 blk of Durham next door to the Wendy’s. «El Primo Tacos» I walked up placed my order for 3 tacos, barbacoa, fajita, and puerco en salsa rojo *pork in red sauce*. The tortillas were fluffy and the fajita and pork were very good. The fajita had some good seasoning and the red sauce the pork was stewed in had a nice kick to it. I was disappointed with the barbacoa, this time around it had a bit more fat than I like. I think that is the problem with getting barbacoa right, finding a balance. You don’t want it to fatty, but then you don’t want to serve dry barbacoa. They had Mexican Coke and a decent selection of Jarritos to wash down the greasy tacos. I will be back because the price is right, $ 7 for three tacos and a soda plus tip.
