The place is nice. I had the Thai Tea with tapioca. It was OK. Nothing impressive. Service was nice and friendly. A very convenient location right off of Bellaire in the Dan Huang Plaza.

Their honey milk tea is cool. I like it so much. And their wifi speed is awesome. And the server is so nice. I asked them to make some different drink which is not showed at the menu. And they were happy to do so.

I’m a fan of their matcha green tea with milk and their regular milk tea. My favorite place to get that used to be at Kung Fu, but they’ve changed their formula awhile ago so I don’t like it anymore. The matcha green tea without milk isn’t too bad either, but some people might not like it because it is not as sweet as the one with milk. My boyfriend ordered the mango/orange slush with mango chunks. On the menu, the mango chunks were floating on top of the drink. In reality, it is mixed within the slush… so don’t be alarm if your drink doesn’t look like the picture. They take FOREVER to make a drink though. I am hoping their workers will master the art of making tea soon so they can speed it up. They have two sizes to choose from: medium and large. They have a projector near the cashier where they show music videos. The décor is simple but cute. They have wooden tables and small decorations throughout the store. There are small snacks for sale also in case you get the late night munchies. When I say snacks… I meant like bags of chips and candy. This boba place is joined together with KTV. Surprisingly, the noise level is acceptable so I think it’s safe to study here.

On my quest to check out different tea/tapioca shops for the best milk teas, I decided to stop in one day to try this place out. Upon reading over their menu & eyeing the large array of fresh veggies & fruits, I see they are all about juicing. I decided this day to order the mango smoothie & at the suggestion of the young man, I opted for their new mango orange smoothie. Hot damn, that smoothie is a BURST of flavor, super refreshing and full of mango chunks throughout the entire drink… had I died & gone to heaven!!! No, lol, but I was definitely in love with this smoothie — by far the best smoothie I had to date from any tapioca place. I returned a 2nd time to try their Tbaar Milk Tea & asked what the difference was between this & the Bubble Milk Tea & was told the Tbaar was just the milk tea without tapioca. Being that I love stronger milk teas with floral notes, I had to see if theirs measured up. It’s definitely much better than Star Snow but not the best; it was sweet but not overly sweet, very creamy & has a faint floral note. After reading previous reviews & having tried some milk teas in NYC, I was shocked that I could not tell if it was a powder or not plus I did not watch them make it since I went to the little girl’s room(this was the one thing I did not like in NYC because I did see them use powders & it was so unnatural in flavor). I can’t stop coming for the smoothie though lol… OH& I failed to mention how I stumbled upon them. I had gone to Honey Bee, but the sign on the door said they were closed for summer vacation, lol. So I strolled up the sidewalk, peered into my beloved Kamalan, saw Tbaar & decided to stroll on in… glad I did too because it is DELISH!

Everyone should do themselves a favor and just go to TEABAR, which is literally right next door. Trust me, you’d be glad you did. The drinks at TBaar were really bland. Additional to that, the employee who took my order was rude and didn’t even know what he was doing. I am NEVER going there again.

Dont get fooled by their special offers, they will swindle you of your money. JUSTGOTOTHETEABARNEXTTOIT!!! They had a «buy 5 medium drinks and get a free KTV room» deal, so I varified with the workers if this offer was still true and they said it was. So I bought 5 medium drinks for me and my friends to aquire this offer. We waited for an hour only to find out that the offer wasnt valid. The drinks tasted stale and along with that we got very bad service. The employees were very rude and scamed me out of my money. Dont waste your time and money. JUSTGOTOTHETEABARNEXTTOIT

Ordered the bubble milk black tea and it was pretty good. I usually don’t like the strong tea taste in milk teas but this one was surprisingly good. They have very friendly staffs. The interior was also nice. And their cups are so cute. Will come back to try other drinks.

Friend and I came in 15 minutes before closing time because we saw people making drinks and ordering inside. There’s also KTV rooms in the back as well, which is a pretty interesting combo. I ordered the regular bubble milk tea and my friend go the taro milk tea. They have a shaker machine just like Kung Fu’s when they make your drinks. The taste of the milk teas were still powdery, but it definitely tasted a lot like Kung Fu’s. They ran out of tapioca since it was near closing time(or maybe they packed it up already) so sadly I didn’t get to try that. Instead I got aloe jelly which wasn’t bad, but also didn’t taste like aloe to me. There’s so many milk tea places in this shopping center, and this one is right smack in between Tea Bar and Kung Fu Tea. If I do crave milk tea from this area, TBaar would not be my first or second choice.

I tried their Matcha smoothie last night, and came back for Super green smoothie this morning. Both were delicious and fresh but pricey. They share the same space with KTV, quite smart move for extra service. I find it quite fun to sit outside and listen to people sing karaōke so if you don’t mind bad karaōke then it’s a solid place for refreshers in Chinatown!

I find it confusing that a tapioca place would name itself TBaar, when they are located to an actual tea shop called Tea Bar, branding I suppose. I came on a late night while they had their buy one get one deal. they are similar to tea bar that they are pricey. It is smaller with about 2 tables inside the store but they have plenty of chairs. Going for that healthy juice cleanse with a variety. Didn’t like the tapioca even though they provided plenty. Taro milk tea tasted too powdery, they did give samples out though

Slow, credit card machine is usually down. Staff is untrained. Expensive for what it is.

This is a new tapioca place that opened one or two weeks ago, located next to Teabar on Bellaire. It is currently having a deal of buy 1 get 1 free. Passion fruit fruit tea is normal. Iced matcha latte with red bean is DELICIOUS! Love it! They definitely used a high-quality matcha green tea powder. Green milk tea with aloe vera and herbal jelly is good as well. It is on a creamy side. They also have tons of fresh fruit juice if you are into a healthy diet.
