This place is under new management and they are exceptionally friendly. They had some trouble with their card reader today and gave us free drinks to make up for it.
I ordered the seafood gumbo, and my roommate ordered the fish nuggets with fried rice. This place is pretty simple looking, but we were very pleasantly surprised! Everything was delicious and fresh, and the fried rice just might be the best I’ve had outside of San Francisco. The okra in the gumbo was perfectly tender and not at all slimey. These folks know good food.
For 7 – 10 bucks, you can grab a delicious, satisfying meal in a clean setting. The interior is a little sparse, but they just remodeled. I’m excited to see how they decorate in time.
I’m making this a weekly treat.

The place is very affordable and my favorite dish is the fried crawfish with fries. Plus, they make the BEST milk tea!
