The employees are friendly and the tea is great! The manager on the other hand is extremely rude and unprofessional, his name is Antonio. He spoke to an employee so rudely in front of me. He could have done it in the back room not in front of everyone.

# To the Budget Traveler: Although most things in the Galleria Mall are very expensive, I think Teavana is reasonably priced. There were tons of 50% off and 30% off sales when I was there. I got a magnificent tea pot and cups set for just $ 30. PLUS, there are so many free samples that you will not be thirsty. Also, make sure to use your Starbucks app or card here to get Starbucks points for shopping at Teavana. Teavana is a great place to try tea before you buy it. I bought myself a cup of exotic tea and loved it so much that I bought more. Typically I am not always a fan of Teavana because of the hipster scene there. I prefer a more traditional approach to tea. But in this Teavana I was introduced to traditional tea drinking by a wonderful Chinese man named Joe. I was captivated by his approach to tea and the simplicity of mixtures that he prefers. This is the way tea should really be appreciated. Joe was incredibly knowledgable about tea and his approach to customers was perfect.

Went back a few times to see if it had improved, and it had. New staff is now attentive and have a positive attitude. Changed the fixed menu back to the«any tea you like» idea. Much better than before!!!

Love, love, love teavana. It’s like a candy store for tea afficianados. They have different teas available for you to sample as you enter, various flavors of tea leaves and cute tea makers. You can buy containers to hold your newly purchased tea leaves, you can mix and match different flavors, purchase rock salt to sweeten your teas(apparently it brings our the flavor of the teas) and if nothing else, just enjoy the fragrance of the leaves. Lovely store, can’t wait to visit again!

Went in for another visit today and was floored by how awful the service was. First off, the guy that helped me, Alex, could not be bothered to smile and acted like his job was so hard and miserable. I was also essentially talked down to in a condescending manner for asking a damn question. Apparently there are like 2 good employees here and they’re all leaving, says a lot for how this company is. I will more than likely not be returning to this store anytime soon unless I see that he’s not working.

If you have never sampled, why not, like they only have all these orange and red fruit teas amongst so many other hot flavors that really appeal to your senses and calm you down after a long walk in the mall or two. I like the kettles and they are so adorable, some imo are like the perfect shape! Woohoo, happy national iced tea today!

New obsession yes a little pricey but if you’re an compulsive tea drinker like myself(it’s worth it) I can’t remember the gentlemanly name But it starts with an «S» he was so knowledgeable and friendly, my favorite is the snow geisha … Since I’ve started drinking these teas I’ve noticed a dif in my detox and I love it I will be back to stuck up and some, thank you !

A little on the pricey end but the hard sell is what really gets me. this is their employee handbook: SELL, SELL, SELL and just in case you forget.. . SELL!

Don’t go here. The Sales people are tricky and dishonest. Bought a cup of tea. I usually get the basic lower tier. She rang me up and it was about $ 6. I told her again I just wanted my basic tea. Then she said, «ok ok pick two you like and I make». I already TOLDYOU I DIDNTWANT A BLEND. I really didn’t the energy to argue with the lady. I paid and left. Will never come back.

My friend jokes that Teavana sells potpourri and not real tea. Tea lovers can debate now. For entry-level tea drinkers, this is a great place to start as they are great about educating you, letting you try stuff out, and flavorizing and masking the taste of tea!(Hence the potpourri comparison.) A lot of this stuff smells very fragrant but may not taste so great. As for Teavana stores go, this one is a smaller footprint in terms of square footage. They usually have four to six teas for tasting, but it can get crowded in there really quickly. As with any Teavana store, you can order a cup of tea to try it out before purchasing. I think they used not to charge you if you bought the loose-leaf afterward. Well, now you get charged $ 4.95 for the cup and whatever for the loose leaf. I still prefer the taste of Lupicia and the locations as it’s a little truer to tea-lover quality. However, there are no brick and mortar Lupicia’s in the state of Texas…

This place is pretty quiet and the staff is very helpful and always showcasing their new scents. Very educational. Not sure if they have a sales quota however they always ask no matter if I go on daily if i want to buy actual tea as opposed to a cup. Youth berry is nice a sweet and the raspberry ice lemonade is really good I believe

My new obsession has become loose leaf teas. I have been to a couple of the Teavana stores in the city as well as another Tea vendor and I would have to say this location is the worst one that I have been to. Pros… 1 — This is a a great place to find a variety of loose leaf teas. They have all kinds of Greens, Blacks, Oolongs, etc. They also have a variety of different flavors within each tea genre. They usually have a few teas already brewed so that you can sample. And they have a wide variety of accessories for making and drinking tea 2 — Teas are sold by the ounce, and each ounce can make 20 – 30 cups of tea. But unfortunately, there are too many cons… 1 — Most of their flavored teas are«Artificially Flavored». I thought the goal of Organic tea was to be able to drink natural teas. Instead, they blend teas together and then load it with artificial flavors and scents so that the tea smells good. A great smelling tea is usually enough to sucker a person into buying it. 2 — The sales reps here are super pushy. I walked in at 8pm on a Wednesday night looking for a specific sized Tea Tin. One that measures 2.5 inches wide and 6 inches tall and has an air-tight seal. They can be had from the Container store across the street for $ 5, but I didn’t like their quality. So hoping to find something at Teavana, I discovered that they just carry the larger containers in the store. When I asked a sales rep and gave her the specifics of what I was looking for, she proceeded to HOUND and FOLLOW me thru the store for the next 15 mins trying to sell me all kinds of Tea Tins that were nowhere near what I wanted. Plus the tins they were selling were $ 15+ dollar range. 3 — The sales reps do not seem to be very knowledgeable about their teas. They will hand you a little booklet on their tea selection, but when it comes down to the benefits of certain teas over others, they just recite what is in the book. Overall, the Tea experience is supposed to be healthy and relaxing. But walking into this place is like walking into a timeshare presentation where the sales reps only care about making a sale and don’t care about the customers.

Teavana is a scam… Their teas are quite tasty, and fresh, and certainly if you can get a brewed cup from them, do it. However, you should not actually buy any unbrewed tea from them. They charge a lot, and push a lot of expensive(and often unnecessary) stuff on you. The samples they give out are misleading. They claim you can brew the tea with just a small amount of the 2oz they sell you, but actually they brew their sample teas with loads more tea than what they recommend.

Very misleading Like many others I ended up with a $ 40 case of Buyers Remorse. The samples taste amazing. The tea-a-ristas don’t tell you they brew the samples with 2 times or more the recommended tea… then sugar it up. Total rip off.

Teavana teas taste and smell delicious so I give it a star. However, it’s pretty pricey since you have to buy 2 oz of tea at a time. Some teas you can purchase an ounce, but most its 2 oz per tea. I enjoy drinking the Youth berry tea, Peach tranquility tea, and Strawberry blush rose tea, and Champagne Sangria punch black tea. Strawberry rose mixed with peach tranquility is so good with or without sugar! I wouldn’t splurge on Teavana teas because I can find better priced teas at Whole foods and/or other markets for Organic teas. Occasionally, I would buy a bag of my usual favorites Teavana teas listed above. As for service, they are friendly and helpful in selecting teas. Also, they are good at convincing you to buy more tea.

Teavana, you’re so expensive. I mean seriously. I go to Chinatown and get better tea cheaper. Sure it’s not«Monkey picked» but at least when I get oolong tea, it’s the right color. It’s not this green stuff you call«oolong.» Also, why can’t I just buy an ounce of it? Why do I have to buy $ 25 worth of tea? Now I have $ 22 of tea sitting in my apartment that I probably won’t drink because it just doesn’t brew right for me. I assumed I was making it wrong, so I decided to buy a cup of it from you. At $ 5 for a Starbucks sized grande, that’s a little ridiculous. And it was still so green. I drink oolong for the caffeine content, and after a night of little sleep, it would have been nice to have come through with this expectation. Oh well. I guess I’ll just have to avoid you in the future.

After the first review that I wrote about this place, I have been back since. I did call and spoke to the manager of this location and explained to her on what happened. She gave me 5.5 oz of golden monkey for a apology on their part. The manager told me that the season helper will be trained on customer service. I guess we will see.

I am so comforted to know that there are other people that got sucked into a purchase! I decided to sample their teas one day and fell in love with this cinnamon blend(forgot what it was called). It is seriously the best tea I have ever tasted. It was so smooth and flavorful! When I passed by again, I decided to buy a cup of it(since they sell them for about $ 3). My intention was to buy only that. I ended up getting convinced to spend $ 130! She ended up telling me about their pots and I politely declined by saying«maybe next time». Then she told me about their infuser bottles and I was intrigued. I decided that $ 30 for one isn’t such a bad idea since I LOVED the tea. The tea leaves were priced at $ 6 for an oz so I didn’t think it would be that bad. Turns out the tea I liked so much was a blend for two teas. There are no prices listed on the store and the containers had prices that were all under $ 10 so I thought it wouldn’t be too bad. Little did I know I was paying per ounce! She scooped the tea up till the top of the container!!! I started to panic when I saw the numbers go up when she was weighing it and was too passive aggressive to say anything. I wanted to ask if she could dump half the tea out but I felt bad/guilty because she had already mixed the two teas together! So that is how I stupidly ended up paying $ 130. This was a month ago and I still can’t believe I spent $ 100 on tea. The lady was so pushy and persistent! I am almost certain they work off of commission. I’m giving it 3 stars because the tea really is good. I just wish I wasn’t sucked into spending that much. Maybe it’s my fault for not saying anything. but I wish they considered the fact that most customers don’t have $ 100 to blow on tea! She also tried to sell me their sugar but thank goodness I said no to that or I would have probably walked out having spent $ 200.
