Tony is AWESOME! The environment to the bar was great, the patio area looked newly renovated and it was done very well. Our only issue was parking but this is the kind of place I would hang around at so I didn’t have any complaints about it. Great drink selection and plenty of entertainment.

Had a magic kareoke night here. The vocalists were a mixture of gifted, intoxicated, or both. The bunch was encouraging, as well as lots of great feelings were percolating through the bar. The DJ was amazing – he knew when to slow down the singing with some actual music. The drinks were fairly priced, and there are games and TVs set up should you not need to sing and/or see the performances the entire night. Would definitely recommend!

The Cellar Bar is nice. We visited this spot last Friday and had a great night! The place is pretty nice maintained, clean and well kept. Here you can find a pool table, virtual bowling, darts, booths and tables, so you’ll definitely find a way to have fun. I hate when jukeboxes take money! Why wouldn’t they make it free? Anyway, their music is ok, even though not every track is available. Their drinks are cheap and point-strong. Overall, great spot, so here you go with 4 stars.

I’m huge fan of local bars. This place is AWESOME! It’s a true definition of local bar. It’s down the street from me and most people that come here are from around the area. The bartenders are all sweethearts. They have plenty of room inside and some patio area on the outside. They also have a semi-huge screen to catch a game, or you could play some games like pool. Their prices aren’t too bad. I would definitely recommend going here!

Nice bar with a good craft beer selection. It was very clean and had a laid back intimate feel. We had Anthony as our bartender and he was excellent.

First time coming here, service was awesome!!! Great beer selection, especially if you are a fan of craft beers. Bartenders are amazing, upon conversing with Tony he made me an old fashioned, one of the best ones I have ever had. Will most definitely be coming back!

Great little neighborhood bar! That’s what you should come here expecting! Friendly staff, awesome handmade drinks, games and a juke box. Prices are great and it’s a cool place to chill and hang out and chat with friends! The ruby mule was delicious! The owner/manager even came to introduce himself and welcome us and gave us a free drink card for next time cause he hasn’t seen us there before! I’ve been here a bunch of times. I don’t think they do karaōke on the weekends anymore, which is a bummer. But it’s still a cool place to hang out for good drinks at good prices! No more karaōke means more open tables on a Saturday night!

I used to not like this place because the bartender was grumpy and mean — but she left and now everyone is super friendly. They have good music(not typical bar music), a good patio and choice of draft beer as well. A good place to hang out.

Came on a Friday night around 9:30PM. Place has a dive bar vibe, but definitely nicely kept. There’s tables, booths, darts, virtual bowling(I think), and maybe a pool table. The music selection is provided by an older version of a touch tones jukebox so not all of the selections may be available, and only takes cash. But I like that music is loud enough! Drinks were on point-strong and cheap. Total casual laid back feel.

I have always passed by this place and never gone in but yesterday my sister was feeling inspired and suggested we go to this little dive bar. First off, this place is fully loaded with billiards, darts, foosball, and wii. There is also some boxing game which guys seem weirdly obsessed about. It’s probably to compensate for other things. It doesn’t get very crowded but everyone there is out to have a good time and relax so the atmosphere is great for nights when you can’t muster up the energy to put on your face(ladies). Altogether really enjoyed this place. Also give a shoutout to other Candace and Travis if you see them!!!

A good selection of beers on tap and in bottle. We got here early on a Friday afternoon and were pretty much the first ones there. Actually we went in at 3:30pm but they don’t technically open until 4pm. It got crowded by about 6pm. Location is good for people coming from downtown or West U /Galleria.

I really like this place. It’s small and somewhat divey… But doesn’t have a grungy feel to it that some dive bars do. It’s your quintessential neighborhood bar. It’s clean, the bartenders always friendly, and they have cheap pizza. Granted… I think this may be frozen stick-in-the-oven-to-reheat pizza. But it’s still pretty good, and the price for it makes up for it. I like going here, and would suggest you give it a try too, if you want a semi-quiet bar with a friendly vibe :). There’s also a pool table, dart board, and a couple of video games to amuse yourself with.

Great little dive bar. Ton of seating and games. Pool table, Wi Games, and a dart board. Jameson Shots — $ 6.75 — not a bad price. Good place if you want to play some games and get cheap drinks.

Having recently moved to Houston, I’ve been looking for a missing piece to truly make it feel like home– a place to call my local drink spot. Last night, I found it at The Cellar Bar. When Gary Portnoy wrote about that place«where everybody knows your name,» I’m pretty sure he was thinking about a spot like this. Seriously, the bartenders legit take the time to get to know your name, a bit of your story, and introduce themselves. I personally enjoy a drink more when it comes with good conversation, and this place is doing it right. The setup is great: grab a seat at the wood bar, chill with friends at the booths or high tables, dominate on the pool or foosball table, and let the inner child come out on the boxing or big buck arcade games. The drink menu is on point: lots of local beers, standard domestics as well; and don’t miss out on the bartender inspired cocktails. They’ve got specials throughout the week and generous happy hours– as if I needed more excuses to roll through! Last night I met Luis and Heidi, and look forward to meeting the rest of the barkeeps the next time around… because let’s be honest, I’ll be back for sure.

First things first: there are a plethora of TV’s! Great for game nights. The parking is quaint but at least it’s not valet only. The ambiance is very much your typical local bar: booths, tables, high tables, bar stools, loud, billiards, darts, arcade games, and the best of all — foosball! Came for Thursday Steak Night($ 15). Not busy or crowded at all around 8:00pm. Also, I’m glad it’s not smokey. Thursday steak night includes: — 12oz ribeye steak(feels more like 16oz) — Loaded baked potato(bacon, cheese, sour cream) — Salad(Italian or ranch dressing) — All for only $ 15(but don’t forget to tip). — You order outside in the front where they grill the steaks. Legit. — Delicious! Ordered an «Angry Beach» drink, and it’s real fruity & tasty — much like an alcoholic Caprisun. Also got water & Merlot to compliment the steak. The bartender Julie is so sweet! Great service(even from those cooking the steaks outside. They bring it in for you!) The bartender gave us free drink cards since it was our first time here. Thank you, Cellar! We’ll be back for sure. GOTEXANS!
