Not everyone wears 10 gallon hats in Texas. Style, substance and vision are what I found at The Classroom in Houston. Located in the Rice Village Shopping District of Houston The Classroom offers up a selection of relevant, quality and on the verge label options. The selections are well crafted, selected and displayed. I suggest anyone that is visiting the area to stop by because this is Houston and from what I saw this locale is definitely a diamond in the roughness of monotony. Go to The Classroom and learn a lesson.

Up until now Houston had nothing else to compare this to. This place is an upscale boutique for men. You find the most hip clothes at a still reasonable price for higher quality and no having some other dude wearing the same clothes as you at the club. They also host great events from tastings to bringing in famous artists. The people who run this joint are genuinely in love with it all and it shows through their service.

Classy group of guys, great style, clean store, everything is nicely on display (meaning there’s not a of stuff to dig through). Great stuff that I wouldn’t be able to find elsewhere in Houston. Houston has needed a store like this for men for a long time. I know my boyfriend, who works as a stylist in Chicago, would want pretty much everything in this store.

Houston needs this place. With all the watered down, minstream shopping experiences at the Galleria, it’s nice to find a store that believes in the products and brands it carries. Class Room is all about quality. If anyone is familiar with popularity of tumblr and twitter’s #menswear movement, The Class Room really brings your Internet fantasies to life. Brands like Vanishing Elephant, Brooklyn Circus, Ebbets Field Flannel, Tantum, Rogue Territory, Tanner Goods, Austin Jeffries, Bridge & Burn, UNIS, and the ever-​creative Mark McNairy brands (to name a few) hang from the well appointed shelves. Many of the products are made in America. Most of the products are available in limited quantities and from a select few retailers. You’re paying for quality. You’ll definitely stand out from the crowd in anything you purchase from The Class Room.
What sets The Class Room is the staff. You’ll notice right away walking by and stepping inside that they are meticulous with details. The asthetic of the space is inviting and minimalistic, focusing on the products. You’re greeted upon entering and asked how they can help. It’s easy to form a relationship with the staff via conversation, twitter, tumblr, email, etc. Their online presence is far reaching. Visiting their website you see they have a blog, twitter, tumblr, and a great web store featuring all their products. It’s safe to say you’re taken care of with the Class Room.
I’ve purchased products in the store, online, and over the phone and each time I was very pleased with the transaction. When I ordered their limited edition EFF hat, they offered to hand deliver it to me in New York the next week while they were traveling for business. I thought this was pretty special. they followed up after I purchased Rogue Territory Dark Stantons to see they were breaking in well and if I enjoyed them. (I love them).
Needless to say I’m singing their praises. And I think it’s only a matter of time until the rest of Houston is doing the same.

This store is a great addition to Rice Village. The employees here are always personable, and really try to make your shopping experience enjoyable. There are a lot of nice, fresh offerings in the store that would make good additions to a wardrobe.
The products that stand out to me personally are the Tanner Goods products, the Ebbets caps, and the Tantum shirts. My most recent purchase from the Class Room shop was actually a Tanner Goods’ bifold. It’s a quality, leather wallet that I have used every day since. I will definitely continue to come here.
