I took my friend here to start out her bachelorette party and we had such a wonderful evening– we had great service, the show was amazing, and dinner was delicious!

the worst place ever… I brought in a young man that was homeless. the very rude manager said they couldn’t serve him because he had a head scaf on… are u kidding… there are no stars low enough that can be applied to a restaurant that should be arrested for their cruelity.

I was really disappointed with the performances, as well as the unorganized waitstaff. I attended the one in the Galleria and was really impressed with the choreography that had more than one girl performing at a time(way more impressive). The male host fell flat, and so did the waitstaff. It took a really long time to receive our drinks, so much that the manager had to comp the first round. I had two managers telling me different things about my birthday reservations, I had an event coordinator make me think that everything as secure two weeks in advance and it turned out that she was very misinformed on how the show worked. I was told you HAD to purchase the three course meal(which was pot roast, not steak) in order to sit on the floor seating area. then come to find we had the a la carte option all along. I would have been able to dismiss this if the performances were better; but they weren’t and therefore, no recommending to anyone. The building and bar were nice.

Ok… I went on a Saturday night I was kinda worried because of the reviews, but wow it was awesome the had a great MC and even an aerial act !!! I was the most fun I have had in a while. The club was super nice and even the food was good well worth the price… I recommend it for everyone who wants to see a good burlesque show!

My first experience with prohibition Houston was horrible, and to add injury to insult it was on New Years Eve 2015. Ok, so the wife and I paid for VIP treatment in excess of $ 500. Spare no expense for what was supposed to be a great time but let me explain how that went. First, we make reservations for dinner @ 9:15pm. We receive a call to show up for dinner @ 8:15pm, an hour early. Great, that’ll work! So we rush to get ready, fighting through traffic on hwy 59 where a fatality had occurred on the freeway but we manage to make it even though the freeway was shut down. We arrive at the restaurant on time, only to be served an hour late(9:15pm), REALLY! Ok, we complain a little and get seated, but apparently in the wrong seats. So ¾ way into the meal we’re asked to relocate. Embarrassing as hell considering we invited friends to the event with us. Again we complain, only to be black balled by management which included NOT being served the bottle service that we paid quite a pretty penny for! The night was so awful that we demanded a full refund and left the establishment moments before midnight which lead to a desperate search to find a location to celebrate New Years. What a total waste of time. Now here is the catch! Even though this sounds bad, and we received our full refund. Getting the money we paid for the event doesn’t come close to accounting for all the money spent to dress for the themed occasion. Worst night and experience ever. History books worthy failure. This place really sucked, and I plan to never return, and I plan to let all of the hundreds of Facebook friends I know that this not the place go for any occasion especially for New Years. Hell, I almost had to pull the race card. The manager tried to explain to me that all of the white guest that were served before me were being served because they paid for VIP service, the same service that I paid for. So I asked him if it was a race issue and he says of course not there are many African Americans here and directed his attention to the gentleman to his side who I guess he didn’t know that I knew was the damn bouncer. So I asked the guy did he work at the establishment and his reply was of course yes. Needless to say that I guess some things will never change!

On the postives. The show was really good and the guys on stage were really impressive. The food was also pretty good. Nothing amazing but for a family style service not bad, don’t think I’d day it’d worth $ 45. Now the negatives. . The book was screwed up, order a couple of tables next to each other which wasn’t the case when we arrived. Manager wasn’t very helpful trying to solve and did his best to ignore us. Service was terrible! I couldn’t get a drink and half our sides for the main meal didn’t arrive. I tried to order a couple of drinks and had to wait for at least 45 mins and some didn’t show up. Come the end of the night the bill had 4 drinks that I’d never got. If previously been to the old venue at galleria. This location is much nicer and better setup and the show was just as good. Maybe teething probs but this visit was nowhere near as good as last time.

I checked out pop-up burlesque this past Saturday night as I am a huge fan of the Moonlight Dolls and am anticipating the opening of the new Prohibition Supperclub in Downtown. This is a great concept bar for Houston(I visited Prohibition when it was in the Galleria many times.) In the meantime, pop-up burlesque is a great option for Saturday nights. Doors open at 10pm and the show starts between 11:30 — 11:45pm. I got there at 10:15 so was able to get a good table with seats. However the venue(which is the Moonlight Dolls studio on Prairie & Main) is small and seating is limited. As people stroll in between 10 – 11:30 the place becomes quite cramped and your view hindered. There is a bar serving drinks and a DJ playing lounge music, it makes for a fun atmosphere while you’re waiting. The drinks cost $ 6 – 12 and are of course limited(wine and a few cocktails.) The show is approximately 1 – 1.5 hrs, a few song and dance routines, a little comedy, the girls are stunning with great figures and beautiful burlesque costumes. It is a very sexy show, nothing offensive, but definitely seductive and fun! Pros– Nothing else like this in Houston! The girls are beautiful, the music and choreography is sexy, the Moonlight Dolls definitely know how to please a crowd. Fairly inexpensive tickets at $ 15/person. Excellent location in downtown. Cons– Drink prices are high for small drinks served in plastic cups. Very cramped once show starts. Limited seating. Long wait at the bar.

Paid $ 15 for tickets for Saturday night show and the place was so limited. Bartender service was horrible. No seats and the bar had only limited drinks. The show had a long breaks in between and we were waiting forever. I would never go back here and drinks were so expensive. Not Recommended.
