I’ve been here a couple times now and it’s a pretty good experience. We have fun painting step by step. The teachers are great, though some are more informative and social then others. The one thing that annoys me every time we come is they have you put all the colors on your palate, even if you don’t need them until the second hour, so when you go to use that color, it’s dried out and doesn’t spread well. I wish they would just have you get the colors as you need them. Like get the starting colors only at first then add as you go. Also some of their brushes are very worn down and they should tell people not to bang the brushes on the bottom of the water cups. That kills the brush and makes the lines thicker when painting. If you have a large party group they even have a party room that is off the main room and more private for groups. It’s a great place. The drinks can be pricey cause some are only by the bottle, but it’s not BYOB so leave your stuff at home.

Went with 5 other women and we had a pretty good time. We went to a 9 pm class, so being thec first time there we didn’t realize it would end so late. The class runs longer than we anticipated, including an intermission. Luckily we had a good instructor who took her time, maybe a little too much, and gave lots of positive feedback. We bought snacks and a couple ladies had wine/beer from bar. They said most everything was moderately priced They also have a little section set up like a boutique, with cute jewelry, candles, clothing, etc. The pricing for just the painting is a little high, they should offer more discount nights, like for the 9:00 class or something like that.

I’ve gone twice now. The first it was excellent. We enjoyed the music the instructor was wonderful. I was excited to attend again. Last night is was not much fun. The instructor did not explain what we should be doing. She would just paint without giving us clear instructions. Had I not already painted the picture before it would have turned put terrible. My friends had never painted and did not know what to do. My suggestion is you find out about the instructor BEFORE making your reservation. Make sure the person teaching the class doesn’t start 25min late and try to rush in the end to get out to there. Oh, one more thing… I opened started a tab for the wine. We I went up to pay my credit card was sitting out on top the register and no one was around the check out counter. I was very concerned. I had to go home and call the cc company. Make sure you so not leave a tap open, pay with cash. All in all the group had a good time and I will attend again but I will call and clarify how is teaching the class first and pay in cash only.

Three Strikes and you are out! Like previous person said I had issues with scheduling. I made reservations for a group and when we arrived there was no documentation of it. Talk about embarrassing. I was over charged on another trip. I was told the difference would be credited back to my account, but they still didn’t refund the full amount when that was done. I had a groupon to use so I decided to give them one last shot, but I seemed to have bought one that is only good for certain days. They will not let me use it another day even if I pay the difference. I gave them so many chances because it is a fun time, but with several competitors popping up I am sure this place will die soon with this kind of service.

I signed up for a paint session with a group of my coworkers. A few of us had Groupons and coupons. I shared a coupon with a friend which was buy one, get one half off, so it ended up being $ 30 each(regular price $ 40 because we went on a Friday night). I was a little unsure of this place because the lady who set up my appointment seemed to be a little confused. She could not figure out what group I was under and then I was trying to explain that I would be sharing a coupon with another person, etc. It was pretty awkward. I was also unsure of this whole experience because I am not even remotely artistic. I can’t even doodle to save my life. We were one of the first ones to arrive, and I immediately noticed their bar and boutique area. They have clothes and paintings for sale. They serve wine and beer and I was pleasantly surprised to see that they had craft beer options like Saint Arnold’s and Karbach. Some of my coworkers ordered bottles of wine. I had a Saint Arnold’s Lawnmower. They let you start a tab too which is convenient. I think the Saint Arnolds was $ 3 which is super cheap! While we were painting, one of the employees walked around to take drink orders so that was cool. You do get a break, but I was too scared to leave my area because I didn’t want to miss the next step of the painting process. The setup is simple. There are a few tables lined up with easels and stools. They have plenty of aprons for everyone. Our session was pretty crowded. If I had to guess, each table can seat 10 – 12 people and there were at least three tables that were full. The teacher has a little stage area and she wears a microphone so it’s easy to hear the instructions. There’s also a projector in case you’re sitting in the back and can’t see the instructor’s canvas up close. There’s a nice variety of music playing in the background on an ipod and they are okay with you getting up and shaking your groove thing. Before the painting started, everyone was instructed to grab paint on their pallet. We did a quick toast and then we started painting. The instructor was nice and friendly and explained each step well. The best comparison of the process is a «paint by numbers.» She told us which brush to use, if we should mix the paint colors, or add water to the paint, and of course how to create our«masterpieces.» The painting we did was called Misty Forest. You can look at the paintings online and they show you which painting you will be doing on the calendar, so that’s great. If you’re not a flower person, no problem. Just make sure not to sign up for a session where the painting is a huge garland of flowers! Anyway if you can follow directions, then you can paint. The canvas they give you is about 16×20(totally guessing here) and there’s an unlimited amount of paint that you can use(you will have to get more paint throughout the session). At first I was really uptight about making the perfect painting, but then I started enjoying my beer and enjoying the relaxing feeling of painting. It was fun and my painting didn’t turn out that bad. This is great place to go with a group. They do have the option of booking private events. I would like to come back here soon and create another«masterpiece.»
