1^st time coming to this salon for waxing. Newer location for me, haven’t seen it before and I live in the area. Glad I found them, cause I am hairy. I get my face waxed on a regular basis, for years! I was impressed with the cosmetologist who waxed me, she asked a few questions about my skin care before and after waxing. Taught me about the wax she was using. Was very careful to listen to my requests about my eyebrow shape and my wonderfully thick sideburns; (very pleased with the service. I will be back!

Was told it would take 15 minutes and was there for an hour and STILL had to do some maintenance when I got home. Ugh. Not going back.

I really didn’t care for it, I mean I read all the reviews I was really excited to go here and I left feeling like my eyebrows were done at the local nail salon. There was no shape, they were uneven I just really expected more. Everyone was really nice but I won’t be returning.

This place and the technicians here are simply amazing. I have gotten Brazilian waxes for a little over a year now at an independent technician. I thought she was awesome and great… until I met The Pretty Kitty. They use soft wax (that’s actually pretty to the eye) and they use grapefruit and some kind of other oil to calm the skin after each pull. Both technicians I’ve used are sweet, thoughtful, talkative, and welcoming. They know A LOT about your sensitive area and are ready to give advice whenever. I am a regular now!
P. S. The décor, paint, and overall feel of the place is irreplaceable. They have inspired the décor in my house!

Got my first Brazilian on Wednesday the room are very clean and neat no double dipping and the Brazilian was quick and clean. I’m beyond pleased with the result ask for Claire she’s great defiantly coming back for her again.

After getting screwed over at EWC, I am so happy to find a new place for waxing services! The girls are all really sweet, and they have convenient hours. They’re also really good about following up with appointment reminders and such!

Loved how my eyebrows turned out! Perfectly arched and well groomed! Staff were very accommodating and friendly. Clean yet chic atmosphere.

TPK is great. First of all they are friendly upon walk — in. You are made to feel very comfortable. The room you are sent to for services is also clean and cute.
Claire was my Esthetician. She knew exactly what she was doing quick and accurate. I plan to go back to her on a regular basis.
This was my first wax. I was ready for any pain that was potentially involved… it turned out to be a non event. I felt a little nip and that was it.

I called to see if they accepted walk-​ins, but was able to set an appt and be seen the same day! The rep on the phone was so nice and informative.
When I got there it was even better! TPK is such a cute little place. I filled out a new client card, and was seen in about 5 – 10 minutes (I got there early to find parking during the lunch rush).
My esthetician was so sweet and talked to me the whole time to calm my nerves. She worked fast, and didn’t hesitate to answer any questions or concerns I had.
I love that they didn’t pester me into buying additional services/​products at checkout. That’s one thing I dislike about some salons, but I’m so pleased with my service at TPK. I don’t work too far from TPK, so I will definitely be back for my next appt!

Had an amazing experience. They use great wax that doesn’t irritate your skin. Ask for Courtney she’s lightening fast but super thorough. She was so sweet and understanding when it came to me being a nervous wreck in fear of the pain. She minimized the pain and I was in and out in 20 minutes. The Pretty Kitty is way better than European Waxing center. I recommend it to any and every lady needing a good Brazilian.

Got my first ever wax here yesterday in prep for a beach vacay. The Pretty Kitty is lovely and calming inside. My waxer checked me in, and then showed me to my room. The experience was as pleasurable as can be. She made me feel at ease by chatting with me about a variety of easy topics. I am a larger person and she never made me feel self conscious. The waxing was not nearly as painful as others had made it out to be. I will definitely be back to the Pretty Kitty for waxing in the future!

I absolutely love this place. The staff — both the front staff/​reception and the estheticians are so nice/​professional/​accommodating, the location — easy to find and near a lot of places I run errands at, and the hours — open late and open 7 days a week!
I recently received a phenomenal brow wax by Meagan. Seriously I could not be more pleased and that’s saying a lot because I am extremely picky (esp about my brows). The wax was so great, in fact, that I was compelled to write my first Unilocal review. ever. Enough said, go check them out!

I am very picky with my eyebrows b/​c I once had a bad experience. I like them full and thick and I feel like not everyone knows how to handle those type of brows. I used to go to Ulta’s Benefit Brow Bar, but since it’s location is inconvenient for me, I looked up TPK and saw the great reviews and decided to give it a try since it’s on my way to work and vice versa.
The moment I made my appointment they were really nice and I was even more blown away when I arrived. The lady at the front was very courteous and Hope, the lady who did my eyebrows, was soooo good and nice. Not only did I get great customer service, but my eyebrows look awesome!

I’ve only gotten waxed in TPK because its always a consistently good experience and I don’t want to experiment when it comes to waxing. This was my first time going to TPK in Houston but it was the best visit yet. When I was going to the ones in San Diego, I would expect to have to tweeze stray hairs on my own. Jackie R. at this location however, was excellent. She was not only professional but very thorough as well. She made sure that I didn’t have to do any extra tweezing when I got home!

A coworker highly recommended The Pretty Kitty for a full Brazilian. I’ve since had two appointments, and both went very well. The estheticians are friendly and professional, and I really appreciate the glamour and femininity of the décor — really takes the edge off of the impending doom! The process was very efficient. Though we all have different pain thresholds, I think it’s safe to say anyone with sensitive skin will find the procedure relatively easy to endure.

I came to TPK, because I wanted a change from European Wax Center. Since TPK ain’t just for kitties, I decided to test them out by letting them do my brows (sorry, but you’re not getting to 3^rd base on the 1^st date). My brows are pretty awesome on their own, and since they have a natural high arch, you really don’t have to do much. However, I was still apprehensive, because it’s still possible to screw them up…
Not today!
Jackie is awesome! I haven’t had my brows done this well in a long time. She took her time and had a high attention to detail. She’s now officially my new brow person.
TPK sets itself apart from EWC with small touches that go a long way. The décor is cute without being too pretentious, and, I really appreciated the magnifying mirror with an amazingly bright light that is used (EWC doesn’t do this). They’re slightly more pricier, but not offensively so. Plus, they’re less than 5 minutes away from my house, so the location is very convenient.
I’ve included my «after» photo. No makeup, and fresh out of their establishment. If I were wearing makeup, I would have taken the time to cover the zits on my face, so I’m sacrificing beauty for authenticity. You’re welcome.

For those of you who wax on the regular you know how important it is to have someone who knows their stuff. It can be a painful experience if not properly done, and a bit embarrassing if you’ve never done it before. I have gone to European Wax Center for years, but wanted to try something different, so Unilocaled The Pretty Kitty and off I went.
Getting an appointment was fairly easy, and I appreciated that the young lady who answered the phone gave me some tips prior to, no caffeine, and to take a couple of aspirin an hour before my appointment. I arrived, and was immediately shown back to a room. The place is super girly, super cute, and very comfortable. My waxologist was very knowledgeable, and very friendly. She made the process easier than usual, and a lot less uncomfortable than usual. The type of wax they use also I think helped with the process. The prices are a bit more expensive than EWC, but for the experience, and care taken, I will definately be back!

I visited Pretty Kitty thanks to a Gilt City deal for this location, that recently opened. They have locations all across Texas. Unfortunately, I do not live here but will definitely return when I visit again.
My waxer was awesome and very experienced. Pretty Kitty uses soft wax as opposed to the hard wax I am accustomed to. My waxer was able to explain why and did a great job to make me comfortable.
What I love most is the décor/​vibe. Yes it is clean but it is also very girly (pink) and fun. The music is great and the ladies working are so nice. And the name– Love it!!!
Fun tip! The staff told me that the nail salon next door is great. There is also a Starbucks in the same parking lot. So schedule a wax here and do a full day of fun and pampering!
