Not sure why all the hype about this place. $ 9 for 7 small pieces of chicken. The good? Your chicken is fried to order. Bad? It will take 20 minutes. Now I don’t mind waiting 20 minutes for good chicken, but this chicken is really nothing special. The first time I ate here, ordered the spicy chicken, which wasn’t spicy at all.(Was actually way too sweet) This time, ordered the original style. Still disappointed. Chicken was dry and flavorless. They don’t marinate the meat here. For juicy and flavorful chicken, I still prefer Golden Chick.

I have such a mix feeling about this place. I was originally really excited to try this out. Being it in HMART I know it would be super busy esp with the time we arrived. The line to order was not long but after ordering the guy told me it’ll take about 20 – 25 mins. Apart from fighting for tables with other customers from their other venues the wait felt really really long. When the wings finally came out. it really took away from the taste. I ordered 6 pc of the hot and spicy fried wings and the kimchi fries and it came out to be almost $ 20. I had to circle back around a second time for the fries. I guess after half an hr it was good that my food was hot and fresh. The hot and spicy was not spicy. More tangy with a small kick. I give it to them that they breaded the chicken very thoroughly and generous on the sauce. The kimchi fries were nicely spread with the mayo and siricha. But it was kind of a disappointment. If you wanna check this place out. don’t come on Sunday. Try the hot wings. They are considerate to give you a pair of gloves but honestly not needed. except if you’re a messy eater. Skip the fries not worth it. Being my experience was not that great. I might consider coming back on a non-busy day to give it a 2nd try.

Hooked to their fried chicken since the very first try. At the beginning I loved the hot and spice flavor. You gotta be able to handle some heat! I thought nothing matches to that — till I tried the garlic plus. Both flavors are amazing. I still get half and half to avoid making the hard decision picking one over another. Typically there is a 15 min wait time. Make sure to call in advance if you are in a hurry.

When they tell you the waiting time is 15 to 20 minutes after you’ve paid, then you should expect 40 minutes or more(it was not a lot of people either). We waited more than 35 minutes and My husband has already finished his lunch(rice/soup from different station) We were so disappointed to get the dry and super small size of fried chickens. We ordered the 7 pcs sweet and spicy for $ 9.99. It comes with 5 small breasts(small breast cut in half as two extra small pcs) and one tiny wing and one tiny leg. Really?! We won’t buy it again. It’s not only expensive but also taste dry.

ToreOre you’re a-ok in my book but you’re far from the best! So I was craving some high quality Korean Chicken and TO was there. So I ordered a half chicken which consisted of 7 pieces for $ 9.99. They even gave me the little butt. So funny because I was never served that piece in my entire life. They actually wasted time battering it and putting the spicy sauce on it. A whole cut up 14 piece chicken is $ 14.99. You can eat there or they will package your food to go. Different spice degrees are available. They also have other various entrees. It takes about 15 – 20 minutes to get your chicken. So I open my box and find my very messy spicy chicken a white container of something I never had and 2 monster sized gloves. I put on one monster sized glove to cover my hand(other tore). This is no Prissy clean hand Dak & Bok or even my un-messy Korean chicken wings I make at home(see my profile pages). The chicken was juicy. Problem is inconsistencies in battering and spicy sauce. My leg piece hardly held the sauce while other pieces had spicy sauce dripping from them. The sauce is Not suppose to drip. It should adhere properly. They need some tweaking in their recipe. Also it seems a hatchet or similar instrument was wildly used to chop up the chicken. My chicken pieces had so many small shards of bones I kept removing while eating it was annoying(other than the wing and drumstick). I honestly would Not Recommend the chicken to Small Children other than the wing and drumstick piece! The lady at the counter taking my order was ok. I would go back if I was in Super H Mart and craving Korean spicy chicken. Not a destination restaurant. PS. ‘Slap Ya Mama’ is a no no with the spicy gloves on! Unilocal Review #371

I always call in to order my food before actually going to H-mart, you can expect at least a 20minute wait for your food but it’s worth it. The kimchi fries are always on point and the bulgogi is always really soft and tender. As for the chicken, it’s not just chicken wings there are other parts of the chicken in there as well. With that said, the meat is juicy on the inside and oh so crunchy on the outside. You should give it a try, it’s different but delicious.

I tried the Hot n Spciy chicken. It was really good and they’re friendly. The only thing that I don’t like is the wait time. I will probably try call ahead of time next time.

So good!!! Although I try to avoid fried chicken when I can even though I love it so much this place makes me dream of chicken in a new way. The Hot and Spicy is so good. I usually get the 7 piece and ask for the sauce on the side. You won’t feel your face when you are done. I am not the biggest spicy person but for this chicken and crazy sauce it is worth it.

I’ve ordered the hot and spicy fried chicken and loved it both times. Keep in mind that these are not just wings, but other parts of the chicken, so the price reflects that. It’s all made fresh, so be prepared to wait for your food to cook. They should serve it with a side or rice to complete the meal.

Considering this is a chicken place and I didn’t get chicken… my review is just on the kimchi fries. They were pretty good! Except I wish they were more generous with the kimchi and the bulgogi that comes with the fries. Thank goodness for kimchi sides that the food court has, because my friend and I had to add some of our own to the mix. Gotta be creative! The flavor is very good, I enjoyed the combination of ketchup and spicy mayo on top! For the price though, we deserve more meat! C’mon people, we all know Koreans are bulgogi lovers!

While coming for dinner at H-Mart, I was overwhelmed with the food choices! I saw everyone’s table filled with a box of fried chicken, so j only felt obligated to try it as well. They warned us that the wait time for the chicken would be 15 minutes, only meaning you’ll be getting fresh food. –garlic soy sauce chicken(1⁄5): I felt that I had better Korean fried chicken. The batter wasn’t to my liking and I felt it was way too drenched with the sauce. I didn’t enjoy it really. –Kim chi fries(1⁄5): the fries were plentiful but the sauce was minimal. Not only was sauce minimal, but the bulgogi was non existent. For a huge basket, there were probably 6 pieces of overcooked dried out bulgogi. Not impressed at all. Others may enjoy his facility, but I truly feel like with the other options available, I wouldn’t eat here again.

The kimchi fries are my favorite, they’re the reason I come to H-Mart :) The whole food court has amazing food, it has a lot of authentic Korean ingredients! This is the go to place for a variety of Korean food if you’re looking for a place with variation.

I had the spicy 7 piece which was fresh, hot and spicy. It was very crispy and the heat level was just right for me but may be spicy for others. They provide you with disposable gloves as well as pickled daikon. It does take about 20 mins since they cook to order which is fine with me. I wished they served a side such as plain rice or even fries. I ended up getting kimbap which is Korean sushi from the other food court. I will definitely eat here again as the service was pretty good as well.

Was really craving Korean fried chicken. Came to ToreOre and ordered the 14 piece hot n spicy.(Wasn’t all for me, had intentions of sharing but SOMEONE decided to go rouge and order bulgogi) The order came with pickled daikon. Chicken itself was okay… the legs were good, the breasts were WAYTOODRY. The order came with 2 legs and the rest were dry pieces of breasts and a wing or two… As for the flavor, it wasn’t bad. Very saucy, and surprisingly it was hot. Would come here again if I could order all legs.

I will start by saying this is not one my own finds, i was shown to the awesomeness that is ToreOre by the same friends that introduced me to Korea Garden(I have eaten from them for the last four days if that tells you anything). Well for a guy that has sworn off chicken with bones i find myself making a way around the bones when it comes to this Korean friend yumminess. The garlic is what i call the plain and their spicy is like mana from the heavens. I have as of last night scraped the sauce from the box and ate it over white rice if that helps you understand me any better. Now this is my words to the wise, order at least 30 minutes ahead of time or you will find yourself waiting off to the side while others line up to place an order. The wait time allows you to see that this place is BUSYNONSTOP and your first taste buds will tell you the reason why. The gloves on the inside of the box while most seem strange I now use, rubbing my eye after eating some of the spicy did not go over too well so consider yourself warned. 10s all across the board from me on this one.

Dang good chicken. Be advised, the chicken doesn’t get cooked until you order it, so be ready to wait. The good news is that the chicken arrives at the counter scorching hot. Get a flavor or the original, you will not be unhappy. The kimchi fries are really good as well. One last thing, this stall does not sell Cokes and the like. They do have bubble tea, though.

Pretty decent Korean wing joint. Location is inside the Hmart food court and a good stop by before or after grocery shopping. I like sweets so I got the sweet garlic flavor and we had to get the original as part of the half and half meal. I wish we had the option to choose another flavor but it was all good. My only complaint is there should be more glaze or sauce on the wings and it’d be perfect. We also ordered the kimchi fried. They were pretty good and complemented the wings pretty well as a starch. The pickled daikon was a good snack with the wings too.

I tried Toreore again and its just not hitting the notes. My coworker was not able to eat it, because she was not a fan of the brine they used for the chicken. We got the spicy and it wasn’t quite that spicy. However, the milk teas were actually good. A little sweeter than other milk teas. But not bad. I would be back for the teas~

One of my friends told me about the kimchi fries here and how it’s really good. I really wanted to try it because I’ve been obsessed with kimchi fries lately. I’ve always passed by when I’m shopping in H mart, but I’ve never tried their food before and always wanted to try their fried chicken, but never had the chance to. Today, I came especially to try out their kimchi fries and also their fried chicken. The cashier was really nice and recommended a flavor for us because we couldn’t decide. GARLICPLUSCHICKEN The chicken was a bit sweet and kinda tasted cinnamonish. I didn’t like it too much because I didn’t taste the garlic. The seasoning was lacking. The outer skin had a nice brown crust and the inside was moist, but didn’t have much flavor. KIMCHIFRIES– fries with marinated kimchi & bulgogi I’ve tasted better fries elsewhere. The fries didn’t taste all that great. They were a bit stale and the seasoning fell flat for me. The kimchi weren’t spicy nor were they sour. They were lacking that oomph that kimchi provides. The bulgogi lacked seasoning and weren’t flavorful. I was really disappointed because it looked so good and tasty, but it didn’t live up to it’s presentation. The service was friendly and inviting, but the wait was a bit long. I’m a bit saddened by my experience.

Korean Fried Chicken: while a rarity in Houston, this is far from the best of the best. The convenience is what I think draws in the crowd. It’s something unique and delicious that doesn’t leave that feeling like you’re missing out on something comparable to your feeling about KFC. It is sweet because of the blend of spices that they use and they use a pickled daikon radish to cut any heat from their«spicy» choice. The smallest order is a 10 piece which is just too much for the average person popping by for lunch. The price is fair, if you are splitting your huge order, but for a lunch alone… it’s on the top of that lunch budget. It’s not fast… though I would rank it in the fast food category. It takes about 15 to 20 minutes because they drop fresh. Good in theory, not so time efficient in execution for such a busy seciton of the groccery store. It’s a good place to pop in but making it part of the regular rotation would require a Walton’s family salary.

I only like one of the options they serve here and it’s the boneless fried chicken with rice cakes. The chicken itself is nice and crispy, the rice cakes are really chewy and the sweet sauce glazed over the chicken is delicious. The medium is a pretty good portion to be shared between two people. The radish that comes on the side can be a little stinky but is the perfect accoutrement to help cleanse the pallet a bit. The boba here isn’t the best I’ve had, but isn’t terrible either. If you’re looking for something refreshing to drink while grocery shopping, it’s a good option.

I came here for lunch with my dad today after having gone through an extremely rough morning, hoping to rejuvenate our spirits with some good ol’ Korean fried chicken. Marinated Chicken(3⁄5) — They’ve got a spicy option, but I can’t bring myself to eat more than 2 of the spicy ones since they set my mouth on FIYAH. I settled for the regular marinated chicken this time. I love that I wasn’t interrupted by the bones too much; the majority of them almost seemed to be boneless! The marinade is a classic, Korean fried chicken taste, but it was overbearingly sweet. My head was spinning after I finished, and I still feel a bit sick right now(it’s been 3 hours). It must be the pounds of MSG they put in here. Overall, I really like the chicken here, but next time, I won’t consume all the 7 pieces that we ordered. 7 may seem like a small number for some of you when it comes to wings, but these pieces are puuuurty hefty!
