This is a review solely for their lunch: Great ambiance and interior décor for a business or client meeting. Their oysters are fresh! They have a great dessert and cocktail menu; they make their own ginger beer which was refreshing, as well. I would recommend: Oysters Sandwich of the day Risotto Their vegetable medley Almost angel food cake

We had a great dinner last night. Taylor was our wonderful and patient waiter. We were a little difficult — changing orders, asking questions, etc. — and he was awesome. The small plates are really good and generous portions. The foie gras was good, quail great, carrots and cauliflower really good. I had the roasted chicken which I loved. Others liked the spaghetti and gnocchi. It is a fun spot. Thank you Taylor for wonderful service.

My friends and I came for New Year’s Eve to enjoy dinner. Food is decent; however my biggest concern was that it took 30 minutes or more between dishes. Also one of our courses was a prime New York strip… We got it raw. We were there for about 3 hours and not even half way through our meal! Even after complaining the manager did not seem to make it urgent that we got our food at a quicker pace. We ended up leaving only after 5 out of 7 of our courses. It seemed like the manager just wanted us to buy more liquor. We got liquor for a party of 8(multiple drinks each) and a bottle of wine. It’s just terrible that we had to pay $ 110 per person and get the terrible service that we had. If I could give 0 stars I would.

Drinks are awesome, happy hour is good. Also, hands down one of the best burgers I’ve had in Houston. The spinach side is really good too.

Great food! Nice pour in the drinks. Service was awesome too! Valet provided free of charge. But there’s street parking too. It’s pretty swanky inside, do definitely make it a spot to invite a date. Outside seating has umbrellas for those not wanting a tan. All in all, I would definitely come back.

Finally got a chance to try Triniti. They have the lunch menu available, ample parking, and nicely decorated restaurant. We were surprise the restaurant wasn’t busy — the road construction on Shepherd is a nightmare. We tried the following: 1. Caesar salad with grilled shrimps — nicely dressed, white anchovies, but the grilled shrimps were salty. 2. Risotto — good flavor, cooked decently and not gummy 3. Fish stew — good flavor with whole cherry tomatoes which gives you an interesting burst of tomato flavor 4. Filet and Frites — they over cooked it the first time but redo and it was a perfect rare. Fries are decent but not super crispy. Tried their portofino cocktail which is light and refreshing. Paired lunch with Penner Ash pinot. End our meal with calvados, Macallen rare cask(both served ‘neat’), Almond Angel Food Cake dessert, and Boxes dessert which includes macaroons and chocolates. We had decent server and the restaurant is friendly. They tried to give you good service and keep you happy. We will definitely be back to try dinner

Came here on a Friday night for a birthday dinner. The crowd was a little older(mid 30s and up — not old just older) but the atmosphere was nice. The bar drinks had special drinks(think Boheme and Anvil) but I stuck to wine because a girl needs her wine! Our server was Blake. I liked him. He was goofy and had spunk. We had to ask for a wine glass for my friend a few times but other than that the service was great. I would recommend asking for an ice bucket for your wine when you order a bottle to keep the wine as cold as possible(the colder the better for me with white wine!) Luckily we finished our bottle quick lol. Now FOOD: — Oysters — VERY fresh! I don’t know what all the little sauces were but I recommend using them all. They didn’t disappoint! — Mashed potatoes(side item) — very light and fluffy BUT a little salty eating them on their own. I was tasting from a friend so I didn’t really have it with other food. I assume if you did it wouldn’t taste as salty. The flavor overall was good though. — Short ribs small plate — the meat itself was high quality and just fell off the bone. The flavor wasn’t bad but wasn’t anything special. If you just want good quality meat with bbq flavor then you’ll love these. — Carrots(side item) — AMAZING. I don’t even really like carrots. These are like carrots with crack. You can’t get enough. I was sad I didn’t order them(tried my friend’s). Overall the experience was great. Great atmosphere, good food and good service! I really wanted to give 4.5 stars but I can’t lol.

My partner and I went to Triniti last night for a date night and it was as good as it gets. First, the décor and ambiance are wonderful. It is beautiful inside, a peaceful vibe, very comfortable soft colors with just the right amount of light. Music plays in the background at a perfect level where you can talk and not hear any of the other conversations going on around you. It was exactly right for a romantic atmosphere. My partner ordered oysters which came with sauces and crackers and there were half dozen. She had a glass of wine which was new on the list and amazing and I had the Hanoi High Hive cocktail which had a chili infused green chartreuse so it was spicy and delicious. Also served was a small basket of homemade crusty breads. For dinner I had the Chilean Sea Bass– so perfect– buttery and soft texture, with a crispy top laid on a gravy that was delicious. She had the Bavette of Beef. She loved this too. Portion sizes I would call normal. By Texas standards it would be called small. But actually it is really a suitable portion, especially if you have bread and an appetizer or salad as a starter. It is so delicious you will eat it all. We ordered dessert and coffee and these too were well done and unique. Also, our server was wonderful, she could advise and compare the dishes and the wine and cocktails. Since the wine my partner chose was new she brought over both and did a little tasting which was very helpful and fun. They gave us little boxes of cookies and scones to go and I tried them at home and they were amazing also. This is our favorite new spot for a romantic night out. This is 5 stars all around– service, ambiance, food, wine and cocktail menu, and dessert.

Triniti is an upscale restaurant that offers fancy American dishes with a few key vegetarian options that focus on salad and pasta. I visited during the middle of the week at around 6:30PM with a colleague, and the restaurant felt very empty. It was actually kind of unnerving — the ratio of staff members to patrons was very high, and they were ultra attentive, making me think, «Wow, what is wrong with this restaurant? It has solid reviews online, but no one is here.» By the time we left, the restaurant was filling up a bit, but it was still relatively not busy. Maybe we just got there early, but it was weird. I ordered the local green salad and the carrot ravioli. This is one of the best salads I’ve had in Houston. There was such an interesting mix of flavors, the dressing wasn’t overwhelming, and the ingredients were top tier. The carrot ravioli was okay, but I don’t think I’d order it again. The ravioli was overcooked — if you check the picture I took, you can tell that the pasta was just swelling with water. The purée itself didn’t make for a very interesting filling — it tasted more like a carrot sauce than anything. I did really enjoy the vegetables that topped the pasta. Each bite was varied: sometimes they included a pea, or some cooked carrots, or some raw carrots, or some raw greens. This place definitely caused some interesting food envy. The dishes had fantastic presentation, so much so that I found myself wishing I wasn’t vegetarian so I could just try other things on the menu simply to see how they were plated. I’d return if I were looking for an upscale, smaller plate experience in Houston and try some of the other vegetarian items — pastas and salads — on the menu.

What a visually stunning establishment, the décor is elegant & modern at the same time. It seems to make everything from the textured & layered open ceiling to the flooring flow together. It’s quite ballsy to say but it’s timeless. I saw one of my favorite paintings in this restaurant o_O I would give it a 4.5 stars & the only reason I would knock the 0.5 star is for the parking situation. Not a huge fan of valets & street parking is limited. It’s not a fully formal attire but hardly a jeans & t-shirt kind of place. First off, I love a restaurant that has the balls to have an open kitchen! It brings things to another level for me. We were lucky enough to be seated at the chef’s table right by the kitchen. Beautiful area with cookbooks lining a portion of the walls behind & next to us, it felt very interactive. So far, this is the second best brunch I’ve been to in this city. The staff were engaging, knowledgable & attentive. Every single one of our wants & needs were met. They were setting up our table when we arrived(group of 12 people) so we were directed to the bar in the meantime(10 minutes wait). Andrew, the awesome bartender was great at steering me in the right direction! The beauty of being in a group at times is that you get to sample different drinks while only paying for one! I tried the from Russia with Love which was an alcoholized version of the Velvet Hammer(vodka), was served in a beautiful Moscow mule copper mug. The paloma picante was good however when I see the word picante on a menu I expect it to be spicy & this was no where near the description. My drink of choice was the Spicy southside & I loved it, the spicy gin was exactly as described! I love drinks with a serious kick so my brunch started off with a bang & opened my taste buds. I must say that I really wanted to have the curried chicken crepes but due to a food allergy(stupid onions are my kryptonite), I had to compromise & go for the huckleberry pancakes with pumpkin spiced butter & burnt sugar syrup & a side of homefries to comfort my soul(stupid onions). They were fluffy & so good, the butter complimented everything which is the main function of butter anyway. After my friend kept rubbing in that the curried chicken crepes were the best brunch item he’d ever had, I had to console myself with sunshine smash & I’ve never had anything like it, that’s a very good thing! The Elderflower & rhubard bitters melded beautifully together. The other 2 dishes that were ordered were the famous brisket & eggs & the monkey bread french toast, they were also great options. Overall, I’m going back to have brunch here in a few weeks! I would really love to try the dinner menu & try the dirty risotto or the ricotta gnocchi and while I’m there try more cocktails!

I simply fell in love with this place during HRW2015. The food was delicious and the décor is stunning. The best part of the experience were the items from the pastry chef Samantha. her little«boxes» were so cute and contained macarons and I love those. The blue crab and corn soup amazing and you must try the schnitzel(sp). It’s a quaint, modern place, so dress in something other than jeans and sneakers. Self parking and valet available.

What a roller coaster of emotions! We came here on a Sunday afternoon to surprise our friend for his birthday. My friend had made a reservation for 8, but apparently they didn’t have it and the wait would’ve been an hour… luckily, the manager sat us in the lounge area. Crisis averted. Got a carafe of sunrise smash to start off(yum). Then, off the brunch menu, the 2 best items(brisket and eggs and curry crepes) were off limits until a large party had ordered all their food(it’d been all promised to them). Fine — we ordered the fries while we waited, and the waiter gave us 2 free orders of the smoked salmon. Awesome! 30 min later, we find out there are still some brisket and eggs left. Woohoo! I ordered that with sunny side eggs(gotta get dat runny yolk). Food came out pretty quickly — the brisket and eggs were quite good and came with onions and barbecue sauce. Brisket was moist and fatty. Our waiter gave us special $ 3 shots because we were celebrating a birthday — another plus! The birthday boy also got a free slice of cheesecake. Thennnnn, it took forever for us to get any service after that… we sat around for maybe 30 minutes and our waiter finally asked us if we wanted the check. We said yes, waited another 10 minutes for him to grab our credit cards. Overall, great décor and service, pretty good food, and some mishaps here and there.

Went to Trinit for the RW2015 lunch menu. Superb atmosphere, great service and delicious food! Made a reservation on opentable(although you probably don’t need a reservation for lunch — it was quite empty). Got seated right away and server came to fill out waters immediately. After looking at the menu. i decided on Summer corn & blue crab soup, Salmon toast, and Boxes(pictured on the left). Hubby ordered Catfish and corn hush puppies, Chicken Schnitzel sandwich, and Praline crunch(pictured on the right). Appetizers were wonderful! I am not a fan of hush puppies but I really like the catfish hush puppies. The soup was creamy and sweet. They bring out the own with bluecrab and corn soufflé and pour the soup into it at the table. Was not a big fan of the corn soufflé… kinda salty and spicy. Entrees were only okay. The salmon and roe tasted fishy. The salad was nice and refreshing. Chicken also tasted pretty good. It seemed like a very simple dish at such a fancy restaurant. Was expecting more of a Wow factor on the entrees. Both desserts were delicious and plentiful. The praline was my favorite! Also the RW lunch menu was well worth it. At some restaurants it’s just as expensive to order from the regular menu but at Trinitis you are actually savings quite a bit by ordering the RW menu.

So it’s amazing how often you discover a new restaurant when your original destination doesn’t work out. We decided to try and get an early start on a Sunday to avoid the inevitable 60 min Brunch wait at Brick & Spoon on West Alabama. Turns out they were closed… not sure why… but CLOSED. We chose to turn to Unilocal to find other options nearby and Triniti popped up and was only a few blocks away. Off we went. As a family we are HUGE brunch fans and always on the lookout for new options so I was looking forward to checking out Triniti. If you’ve read any of my previous reviews you know service is very important to me. In this case even if the food had been average(which it was not) the service provided by our server Alex(and his supporting team) was excellent! My wife was cold and they turned down the AC and offered a shawl. Our water glasses were never empty. Alex was super attentive and knowledgable about the menu. All in all one of the better service experiences we’ve ever had at a Houston Brunch spot. Now for the food. As a family we are GRAZERS… translated we can never make up our minds and end up ordering a lot of sh*t. To start we ordered the grits w butter, cheddar, and bacon. They were apparently delicious because my wife cleaned the bowl and never offered more than a small taste. We also ordered a pastry sampler which consisted of a fresh donut(amazeballs…in my 9yr old Daughter’s voice), cinnamon roll(delicious…especially the icing) and a chocolate muffin(about to eat that after I write this review since we brought it home). For our main course in order we had: Selena: Monkey bread French toast with a mascarpone(how do you say that word) filling. Overall it was abit complex for her 9yr old palette, but it was a nice twist on a basic favorite of my daughters. Me: brisket and eggs. Delicious. The brisket was slow cooked roast beef tender and had great savory flavor. I passed on the brunch potatos and instead had the spicy greens. As a certified greens snob… these were AI approved and I’ll be back for more! Gabriel…what has become known as The Usual for my son. No matter where we go for breakfast/brunch he orders scrambled eggs, bacon, and potatoes. From the way he put down his IPad and cleaned his plate I think it’s safe to say Triniti is Gabie Approved. The Wife ordered the spinach quiche, but after having devoured the majority of the cheese grits and her share of the pastry appetizer… she was abit full. She still enjoyed the quiche and even got our normally veggie adverse 9yr old to try it. All in all the quiche more than passes the«taste test». The are several other menu items we are anxious to try. Especially the Wings & Holes… try saying that in a Dave Chapelle voice 3 times without laughing… go ahead I’ll wait. Not possible. We will be back soon for Wings & Holes… lmao…but we will be back. Overall Triniti has climbed to the top of our Houston Brunch list, but next time we have to put it to the ultimate test… the mimosas! More to come.

Good food, but small portions and slightly overpriced. The service was average for the most part, but they were really nice in that they gave us free scones to give us to take togo. The atmosphere is very modern and nice with an open kitchen. Not too fancy but not too casual in which everyone dresses at least somewhat nicely. I ordered a pork breast with fennel and apple sausage(32), and my sister ordered the asparagus and speck small plate(18), which ironically was the largest out of everyone’s entrée. While all the food was flavorful and savory, one thing that I disliked was the ambiguous and somewhat not detailed descriptions given for each item on the menu, especially for the desserts. While I know that each food item isn’t simple and not one-dimensional, I couldn’t imagine that well what the dish would be like.

One of the best tasting menus ever! My fiancé surprised me to a tasting dinner here for our one year, and I was blown away. I’ve been here before and was disappointed, but I don’t know what happened, they totally changed their food, attitude, and atmosphere. First off, we had a special 9 course tasting course paired with wine for $ 240 each… that’s a GREAT deal. The chef ANDGM contacted my fiancé to create a menu that was totally new and unique to us… that was amazing(pictures posted). Second, the service was impeccable. We were placed at the chef’s table, so we had the entire view of the kitchen and restaurant. The sommelier made sure that our glasses were paired well, he tried every course with the wine, and it came out perfect! Third, their atmosphere was crazy. They decorated our table with candle light, rose petals, and our own printed menus with Happy Anniversary Josh and Judy and the date… how bad ass is that? Those are the special touches that makes an experience grand. All in all, I take back everything negative that I used to say about this place. The food is wonderful, and very reasonable. Why fight the crowd anywhere else when you can have a grand experience here!

I highly recommend not to come here. I do not recall the exact name of the dishes we ordered, but i do remember their horrible taste. I got pork chop dish that came with many other stuffs including sausage: beside a small piece of pork chop and grilled carrots, nothing tasted good. My partner got a duck dish that came with grilled vegetable and dumplings. Ducks was undercooked, very rare. Dumplings were nasty, like they forgot to cook it. He ended up having a stomachache that night. Foie gras breakfast: the only tasty dish of the day. Lobster bisque: nothing special. No, i will not recommended nor come back!

I give this restaurant 2 years. The only reason I gave 2 stars is due to the modern, chic design and knowledgeable bartenders contriving genius, delectable cocktails. Hanging on by a thread there… We had a table of 7 so we ordered a lot to taste. I feel confident I have a firm grasp of what this restaurant has to offer in terms of actual food. The foie gras was small and of lower quality. The salad was a typical salad. Three of my friends’ New York Strips were overcooked and flavorless. Even my filet at medium rare was dry and hard to swallow. If this was Triniti Bar & Lounge, I would actually rate them 5 stars. Just close down the restaurant and keep the front section guys. Then, you’ll stand the test of time in a city filled with discerning bellies.

I’ve been here a couple of times before, and each experience has been great. To sum up my previous experiences: First time: Had the tasting menu + foie gras breakfast. I loved everything. Each dish was artistically plated and each component served a purpose. Meat dishes were tender. Foie gras breakfast– amazing. 2nd time– I made reservations for a large party for a friend’s birthday. Everyone loved their dishes(it was during Houston Restaurant Week). Service was impeccable and everyone had a great time. 3rd Time– Halloween Tasting Menu — as always, service was great, but the food this time(tasting menu) needed a little more work. Cocktails were good, but some of the meat dishes(like the lamb meatballs) were too tough. Since it was a Halloween tasting menu– everything was visually constructed to look the part. Plus, the restaurant patrons were encouraged to wear costumes. I like how Triniti has fun with their food shares that experience with their customers. 4th– and most recent experience, for which I will elaborate the most on: Sunday afternoon, around 4pm we had originally planned to go to Dosi. A sign from up above intervened, I suppose, because they were closed(See my review for Dosi). What was across the street? Triniti! Who has a social hour with reasonably priced food and drink? Triniti! Off we went, across the street. There was literally no one in the restaurant so we could find parking without the need for getting valet(which is complimentary, btw). We told the hostess that we were there for happy hour so she told us we could sit anywhere at the bar, lounge, or outside patio area. Any chance I get to sit on a comfy arm chair to have some drinks and yummy food, I take it. The bartender came over, greeted us, and gave us the lounge/bar menu with the specials. We ordered the herb frites, the tuna poke toast, the steak tartare, aaaannd what else? the foie gras breakfast. My friend and I ordered the punch to share(you can share between 2 – 3 people) and my other friend ordered the drink of the day(depends on the bartender) Since he hadn’t chosen a drink of the day yet, my friend wanted a moscow mule, and he was super chill and went with that as the drink of the day. The great thing about going to Triniti on a Sunday afternoon is that it is quiet, you can have a nice convo with your friends, and the service is great, because everyone is available and willing to help you. We had about five different people bringing us food, drink, and asking us if we needed anything. Every dish was great. The steak tartare was fresh, meaty and tart with the capers. Tuna poke had avocado with it so it was creamy and the flavors were balanced. Herb fries were the bomb. Fresh, herby flavor and the sauce served with it was tart and had a little spice. Foie gras breakfast– best foie gras dish in Houston I’ve had so far. Take some toast, with some jam, top it with bacon and the foie gras and the quail egg, and voila, you have the fanciest bite of breakfast in your life. Thanks Triniti, for the great food and awesome, consistent service.
