A typical hole in the wall Chinese food. Stuck in corner of shopping center, I honestly passed by it a couple times. Chinese is typical, but too shabby. It’s not the highest quality food but decent for what it is. Surprisingly the wonton soup is pleasantly seasoned well. Chinese food here is very very affordable — frankly CHEAP. Lunch portions are ginormous, comes with fried rice, soup and main entrée. Free sweet tea or unsweetened tea during lunch at least!!! Under $ 7.00 for all above. 3 stars for food, add another star for price n wonton soup. Small family husband wife team making a small living. Come and support them

I went to this place based on the reviews and they didn’t disappoint my new Chinese spot

At first I was optimistic about this place because it had four stars, but this optimism quickly changed once seeing the food. Don’t get me wrong, the price was pretty good for the lunch special. I had orange chicken, fried rice, egg roll, egg drop soup, and soft drink all for ~$ 10. The orange chicken was soggy and the oranges used in the chicken seemed old. The egg drop soup was subpar, and the egg roll was the same. The fried rice was probably the best part, but this wasn’t even that great. I love Chinese food and I eat it all the time, but I honestly wouldn’t recommend this to any of my friends. All in all, you get what you pay for(if not a little less quality wise).

I have driven by many times wondering if such a small non descript place would be worth a visit. Well it was. Good food, good prices and huge portions. Service was pleasant and food fresh. Rice was especially yummy.

I was not too impressed with he food there, the service was great but the food not so much. I decided to try it based on the great reviews on Unilocal,I had the house special lo mein and cream cheese puffs. The lo mein was not very good at all and the pork in it was very bland and dry. I just wasn’t too impressed with it. Then there was the cream cheese puffs, they looked like chunks of tortillas squares deep fried with very little cream cheese in them and were very tough to eat. I thought about giving it another shot there but I just think I would.

I was just curious as to what is local where I work when I saw the great reviews for this little place. So I decided to try it. I was pleasantly surprised. I order the House Special LoMein. It was the best that I have ever eaten. No restaurant around can compare. She even put some fried rice in a small container as an extra, I suppose. and it was also outstanding. I am pretty picky and found nothing that remotely resembled mystery meat either. The lady even offered me a drink while I waited too. So sweet of her. I will be a repeat customer here.

Delicious. I am not ready for the«spicy sauce» but both times my food has been hot and tasty.

If you are looking for a large amount of food at a good price, this would be your place. Saying it’s the best Chinese in Houston would be a stretch. I was bummed that I found the food to be quite bland. There was no tang in the General Tsao’s, the hot n sour soup or the black bean chicken. There was no distinct flavor profile in any of these dishes so if you blind folded me they would have all tasted the same. On a positive note they do have the old school egg rolls that seem to be hard to find these days and the owners are super nice. I will prob come back and try something else and hopefully find something I really like here.

Best Chinese in Houston! Doesn’t look like much but the food is amazing. The fried wings are delicious. The Homemade sweet tea is the bomb. I recommend this place to everyone — it’s worth the drive

Really good food at a very reasonable price! The taste is great, and the portions are hefty. What more could you ask for?

You wouldn’t expect such great food or service from a place as ghetto-looking as this, but by far, they have the best General Tso’s Chicken in town. The pieces are neither overly large nor overly breaded, always crispy when served, and the sauce, oh the sauce! No jalapenos in here, as you might find in some other places sauces, instead, a bright blend of crushed red pepper, red and green bell-peppers, onions, carrots and garlic which gives off an aroma that makes me drool like Pavlov’s dog every time. Their fried rice is also quite delicious, nice and fluffy, holding it’s form without being overly sticky, and loaded with flavorful veggies and egg. The couple who run the place are always pleasant and cheerful, and are happy to accept substitutions on the lunch specials. For such an affordable price, the food’s quality is beyond compare. I ate here all the time when I was working nearby, and every time I’m in the area, I stop in and grab some of their General Tso’s, I can’t resist it. When I order Chinese for delivery at home, I’m sad I live too far away, as the General Tso anywhere else just can’t meet my expectations after eating here.

Not bad. Not bad at all. This restaurant is located in the SW corner of Brittmoore and W. Little York in the same complex with a ghetto gas station right across from Chevron. There’s a sign that says«Chinese Food» but it’s so ghetto looking, you would be kind of iffy to even try this place out. Shoot, it took me around six months of driving by this place every day to finally decided to try this place out. However, after I’ve decided to give this place a try, I became quite fond of this place. They have lunch specials that are very reasonably priced with prices ranging from $ 5.65 to $ 6.75 and that gives you rice, entrée, and your choice of soup(wonton, eggdrop, or hot and sour soup), I would like it more if they gave you an egg roll with your lunch special, but soup will do. I’ve tried the Orange chicken, Chicken with cashew nuts, and the sweet and sour chicken. While a couple of friends have tried the Chicken with broccoli and the general tso’s chicken. In my opinion, they taste like your typical chinese food. Not really better, and not really worse. I do love the orange chicken, though. I personally think that out of everything that I’ve tried, the orange chicken is by far the best tasting one. However, I know my friends enjoyed their meals also. The owners are pretty friendly. It’s not really a full service restaurant, but the lady owner always comes by and brings drinks and take your order even though you can order at the counter. The interior is much cleaner and nicer that I’d imagined looking from the outside. This place is cheap, convenient, and good. As long as I’m in the area, I think I’ll keep frequenting it. If you work in the area, I’d recommend for you to give it a shot if you’re craving for some Chinese food.
