Since I moved to Houston I’ve been coming to this store and Marcus has some how lucked out in helping me every time… Let me tell Ya, the guy is super helpful and even in purchasing a new phone went above and beyond to help me get what I’m needing… Helped me find ways to reduce payments, makes solid recommendations for cost effective additions to my plan and even helped me find the most cost effective way to fix my broken phone, even though it wasn’t in purchasing another one from him. True service! Totally recommend this store, even though the traffic stinks, just cut through the parking lot and take right into shepherd

This store has the worst customer service of any cell phone store I have ever been to.
I came in to set up a new business account that I was bringing over to Verizon from Sprint. As a business customer bringing over 6 lines I expected some notion of customer service.
I was directed to Thelda, the so called small business expert and the first thing she does before even asking about my needs etc was to hand me her employee tablet to fill out the application. I had to struggle to figure out how to work her machine and clumsily entered all my information then she took it and ran the app. They needed some more documentation which I had with me. I gave them to her and she said she was to busy to fax it and had me come back the next day
I came back and gave my name at the door and was told I was next. I waited almost an hour while Thelda helped 3 different customers who came in after me. I don’t know if they were her friends or what.
She finally got my docs faxed and told me to wait which I did and she just needed to call the verification department back. I told her i would come back in an hour to give her time. When I came back she was at lunch so I was told to come back once again and when I did she was gone for the day. Nobody could help me so I called back and spoke to her and she assured me she would call right back after she spoke to the verification department. I never received that call and ended up going to another location which was able to get my lines set up instantly.
I made 4 visits and spent over 3 hours at this store.

Thelda Harris is the reason I’m giving a 5 star review. She is one of the managers at this location and she has helped me with phones, cases, accessories, cracked screens, changing my plan, you name it. I won’t go to any other store or work with anyone else besides Thelda.
She’s the best. I actually hate pretty much everyone who works in verizon stores– I’ve had a myriad of bad experiences so it was really refreshing to have met her. Shes super personable, knowledgable and great at her job.
If you are going to verizon– make sure you ask for Thelda!

Took my mom to get her iPhone upgraded here. Mion had us in & out in less than 20 minutes AND lowered her bill. Great service, friendly and knowledgable personnel. Definitely will stay with Verizon as long as this staff is around! ASK FOR MION!

1 star is saying a lot for a bunch of lairs. We ported or #‘s over from T-​Mobile after 8 years of not very good coverage. Our bill was going to be higher but that was ok with us, we just wanted better coverage. The lies stared from our first visit to the Verizon in Cinco Ranch in Katy and confirmed once again at the one in Montrose where we purchased 2 new phones and 2 i pads for our children. We were told that we could not bring over the 2 i pad airs from. T-​Mobile over to Verizon and would have purchase new ones. Will that was not factual. It took them over 2 hours to complete the transaction and the discounts that were told to me 2 days before that would be applied to my new order was also not done. It was $ 200 short but after 2 plus hours waiting with a wife and 2 children I was just so tired that I went along with it thinking that I would call customer service and get some kind of compensation. I made the call a couple of days after my purchase and explained my ordeal with a young lady in customer service and in my rambling I told her that now I have 2 i pads that I need to sell because you do not connect them coming from T-​Mobile and that is when she said that she connects i pads every day from T-​Mobile and ATT. I went to T-​Mobile and confirmed it with them and that is when Verizon went corporate. I am a US ARMY VETERAN and my biggest pet pee is no LYING OR CHEATING point blank. So now because I was lied to I must return everything and go else where but it was not that easy. I got hit with restocking fees $ 70 for each i pad and $ 30 for each phone. So much for there 14 day WORRY FREE POLICY. They said since I opened the devices that I must be charged a restocking fee, but I didn’t open them, the sales man did in the store to port the #‘s over and make sure everything was working properly before we leave the store. At no time did he say that once he opens the boxes that we will charged a restocking fee while in their 14 WORRY FREE period but was sure to mention it when I returned everything and it is written on my recipe. LAIRS, LAIRS, LAIRS

When my phone charger stopped working, I found myself dreading a trip into the Verizon Store to exchange it. The charger was under warranty, but still, I felt like every Verizon Store experience I’d had in the past left me with a bad taste in my mouth.
Well, I was extremely pleased with the customer service I received today at the Westheimer Verizon Store. I was greeted with a smile and was in and out in 5 minutes. Not even kidding. No wait time and the lady helping me even took the charger out of the box for me and was pleasant the whole time. I wasn’t asked to upgrade and nobody tried to sell me anything I didn’t need. This will definitely be my preferred Verizon Store from now on!

I was very worried after reading the prior reviews; however, was very pleasantly surprised. I went in at lunchtime on Friday and had zero wait time.
The young lady helping me did more in 5 minutes than 20 minutes on the phone w/​«customer care».
She took care of the upgrade on the right program & now I’m back on the road. I have to say that even had it not worked out — it was still a very good experience.

I’ve had a lot of bad experiences with cell phone companies in the past. Especially with customer service. A few days ago I went into this Verizon with low expectations for the needed outcome and was incredibly blown away by the level of service. Anyone going into this Verizon should ask for KRYSTLE. I walked in with a phone I had paid for that had been on an ex’s plan. Needless to say with the split he canceled my service and I was strapped till my next paycheck. Krystle must have seen how stressed out I was and set me up with a prepay plan, had her manager waive the set up fee and even called my ex to have him take the phone that I owned off of a lost/​stolen list. She even told me I could do better after getting off the phone with my ex! HA! It took several calls and I almost left at one point thinking I wasn’t going to have a phone for awhile and she ran out to our car with my ex on the line. I Know that these Sales reps receive commissions as their incentive so the fact that she went out of her way so much for a $ 60 pre pay plan was pretty phenomenal. She gave me her business card and needless to say any business I have for Verizon will be through her!

For what we needed, they were very helpful. Going to a Verizon Store can be like going to the DMV though. You get to wait a long time, but once you get to the counter, they are pretty helpful. Well… sort of like the DMV.

Went in to take over two numbers and take financial responsibility for them. After 1.5 hours of waiting on for the sales guy to get an answer from the phone rep., they say I need to pay $ 800 deposit for two lines… my credit score is 791 at the time. So I say never mind.
Come back a week later with credit report and they say «wow, it worked this time, zero deposit.»
So I get it switched specifically requesting a printed receipt to verify that the two lines share one plan. Same sales guy says they can’t print a receipt and swears that it’s right. Guess what? Got a bill today for two lines paying double fees…
Very inept… this is an understatement.

I am not a verizon wireless customer, but I went here to pick up something for my boss. He got the new RAZOR HD and it is such an awesome phone. I had to go pick up the screen protector. The gentleman that helped me was nice no complaints for me. Just that when I was in there, there was a guy that was complaining about his plan and his service… Makes me wonder!

Three experiences here and each time the customer service was fantastic. I expected them to be nice when I was a new customer buying a new Droid two years ago. I hoped they would be nice when that phone died still within warranty period. I did not expect them to be nice when my phone died out of the warranty period. But they were equally nice on all three visits. And each time, I walked out with a working phone and all my contacts, without having to pay a penny. Hell of an upgrade from the craptastic Sprint store across the street.

I am shocked to rave about a phone Company, but for two years I have gotten terrific customer service at 2701 Westheimer Rd. The phone I have sucks, the Chocolate, is one that should be removed from the market. The touch pad just stops working. However, the Verizon staff are always great. I was sent by my choice to go to another store, and got the same great service. So, here it is, I am a fan of Verizon’s staff. I may not like some of the Corporate policies, but the right treatment makes a difference.

I’ve been to this location twice, once when I upgraded to a Blackberry, and once when I lost my trackball because I decided I wanted to clean the dust from my phone. Both times, I’ve received stellar service.
Everyone knows that when you get a new phone, you lose your contacts, unless you want to pay $ 10 to get your contacts transferred to your new phone. I worked my charm, and the guy at the counter offered to do it for free. (I love being a girl!) In fact, every single time I’ve upgraded phones, I’ve always gotten my contacts transferred for free… not just at this location. Thank you, Verizon!
Most recently, being the clean freak that I am, I saw some dust in my phone and wanted to clean it. I pulled out the trackball and then must have messed up the little prongs because the trackball never sat correctly in its little spot. Every time I dropped my phone, the trackball would go rolling away. So when I dropped my phone at Rebels, it was goodbye trackball! Out of pure desperation, I went to Verizon in hopes they would replace my trackball for free. After all, I have been a customer since 2003. Even if they wanted to charge me, I was ready to use my charm to get it for free. Lucky for me, I think it’s just always free. Thank you again, Verizon!

Such mixed emotions…
I can’t wait to leave Verizon. I think the company is pretty useless. «Fewest dropped calls»!!! HA! I can hardly hold a conversation with anyone for more than 30 seconds and I’m talking about being in Montrose and Midtown! There is no reasonable excuse for that to happen in the center of Houston! I should just pay the $ 175 cancellation fee to get out of my contract because I really can’t handle them for another year. I’ve put up with this for almost three years already.
There’s also always some excuse or simple explanation why my too-​expensive Treo has all of these quirks and problems. No one at Verizon has ever heard of these glitches before when I tell them. .. UNTIL they get a newer version of the phone. Then the story changes, and they tell me they’ve had all sorts of complaints about the current version and they advise me to get the new one because that should solve everything. How stupid am I that I fell for that?
I give them three stars because, even though I hate the company, this particular location still deserves some praise. I went in because my phone was damaged and I needed to get a replacement through the insurance program. The gentleman who helped me was very nice, connected me to the third-​party insurer on the phone, looked up all of my personal account information and came back to make sure everything was handled when I was done on the phone. If they weren’t representatives for Verizon, I would give them a higher rating.

Verizon, you’re a lying scumbag. Yep, I said it. I know everyone else is thinking it, but I had the balls to come out and say it.
You seduce me with your reasonable rates and stories of how I’ll have perfect reception in Alaska. You tell me that my contracts are easy to get out of. You offer me numerous types of gadgets.
And what do you provide me? Crazy add on fees and rude customer service. Absolutely no coverage in Alaska (yep, I landed in Seattle and found out that I’d missed 23 calls) as you promised. And your cheap phone broke almost immediately and you charged me an arm and a leg for a replacement. Oh, an roaming fees while I was in McAllen, did not go over well with me.
Best of all, you lied to my face and claimed that I extended my contract. No siree-​Bob-​Joe, I did not. I would never want to prolong the agony of dealing with such incompetent idiots. And when I could list every single phone call, with every single person I’d talked to (with extensions), getting quiet is not enough of an apology. Not enough, thank you.
No sir, I will avoid Verizon at all costs in the future.
