Best place to go to for your annual eye exams and to get glasses made! The doctors and staff are very wonderful. I am very happy with my glasses that have the tech shield, will be purchasing more in the future. Such a great frame selection. The doctors are always explaining great new technology that will better the health of your eye.

This place is the worst. I chose it over a year ago because it was close to work. I thought it would be convenient. It hasn’t worked out that way. The woman who answers the phone can apparently only book appointments. Anything beyond that is too confusing and she has to ask someone else. Says they’ll call me back but they never do. I ordered contacts and they never bothered to call to let me know they came in. After 3 weeks, I had to call them. That seems like the kind of thing you’d tell a patient. I went in for an eye infection and asked about whether I was a candidate for lasik instead of glasses(this may have been over 2 appointments for follow up on the infection — I don’t remember now) They somehow charged one of them an eye exam and now my insurance won’t cover the annual eye exam I actually need. And when I was investigating lasik, the center wanted me to do the pre-op and post-op stuff with the doctors at this location. Which they flatly refused to book. I’m kidding. It was just too confusing for the receptionist and the doctor was supposed to call me back… imagine my surprise when I never heard back.

Nice frames, but they are expensive and then nickel and dime you. I purchased a pair of expensive frames from Vision Corner 2 years ago and just had them replace the lens with an updated prescription(for several hundred dollars). Upon picking up the newly installed lens I asked if they would replace the soft temple guards that had worn out — was surprised when they charged an extra $ 10 for the temple guards. A good thing I did not ask for replacement of the nose pieces. I will not go back. After receiving a call from Vision Corner to my review, I want to clarify my comments. The frames I purchased are expensive, but I was not suggesting I was overcharged — the frames are a high quality frame and I think the cost of the frame was fair. My comment about«nickel and diming» referred to the charge for new temple guards which I did not expect at a store selling high quality frames and lens.

Alright, so I walk in for my first appt here and sign in and start filling out all the paperwork, yada yada yada. I give the forms back and they tell me I owe $ 90 more for a contact fitting fee. Apparently this is normal for an eye doc but completely crap if you ask me. My old doc never charged me this… Whatever I’ll pay it. Go in, the appointment was fine, the woman who examined me was nice and professional. Got done and they tell me that i also need to buy the contacts right that moment, but they won’t order them until I call back in a week and tell them I like the lenses. Well what if I don’t like them? «Then we’ll reimburse you»…okay that’s dumb, how about when you actually order them I pay for them. This place just irritated me with the fees and the whole contact process, not coming back.

I have been going here for 3 years now. The selection of eye-wear is GREAT! Tom Ford, John Varvatos, David Yurman, Persol and many more top designer bands is why I originally chose Vision Corner, but the Amazing customer service and detailed eye exams is why I come back. Dr. Sophia W. Barnes is the optometrist I always see. She is very detailed and personable. The office admins are very friendly from the moment you walk in the office. I had a 1:30pm appt, I got there at 1:20 was filling out the paper work and in the chair in under 10 min. They do all of the eye tests(pupil dilation, tonometry, retinoscopy, refraction, etc. it is a very compressive eye exam) and best of all Dr. Barnes reviews all of the results with you so you feel comfortable and informed about what is going on and why. I was debating glasses and contacts and Dr. Barns provided me with all the pros and cons and even gave me multiple options. When you are done with the exam, you get to pick from a huge gallery of glasses with a specialist there to assist you and make sure they are the perfect fit. I found 3 so the specialist then covered all the options my insurance covered and gave me estimates of the cost so I could make the best decision. Therefore, I guess all in all I would highly recommend Vision corner if you want great friendly service and a HUGE selection of top brands to choose from.

The business owner contacted me and resolved our concerns expressed in my previous review. I do have family members that have also had good experiences here.

Went to Vision Corner for an eye exam and new eye glasses. Received a friendly greeting and was given my exam promptly. Dr. Barnes provided a thorough exam and found some problems with my eyes that I was unaware of… she explained to me what was going on and how to best deal with it in a compassionate manner that put me at ease. I was given a lot of options and styles for frames and plenty of advice as to what the staff thought best complimented my face in terms of style. Definitely a good selection of designer frames. I’ve been very happy with the ones I selected. The staff did seem new(they had many questions for the doctor in helping me out, particularly with regard to how to process the discounts I was to get from my insurance), but they worked it out and were very friendly and eager to please. I will go back!

My current pair of glasses are from here. I both(kind of) like them and absolutely can not stand them, it depends on what outfit I’m wearing. I suppose that is one of the woes of having a pair of colored plastic frames. The brand isn’t important as I dislike the clothing line. Vision Corner carries a good selection of frames. Mostly clothing designer name brand(Nicole Miller, Vera Wang, ect), but also some brands that are only exclusive to eyeglass shops. All very nice and run the gamut between boring, conservative lady glasses to «are we certain these aren’t kiddie frames?»(They carry men’s frames, but I didn’t waste my time looking at those for obvious reasons.) You’ll most definitely find a pair that almost fits your personality, are versatile, and that you hopefully won’t bore you two months in the future. Yes, yes, that mythical pair of «perfect» frames. A year and a half ago, a very polite, helpful, and pushy optician found my current pair of glasses. She’s the only person who’s complemented my on my frames, if that gives you any indication on the level of their«awesomeness.» Once you walk into the store, she sizes you up, and finds frames based on your outfit or in her eyes«your personality.» To her credit, she IS very enthusiastic and nice and finds frames you wouldn’t think of trying on yourself. On my most recent adventure in searching for my new frames, she tried her damnedest to convince me that the satin-finish Mardi Gras purple rectangular metal frames with a darker purple with chartreuse squiggles on the arms, were the perfect new frames for me. Perhaps she didn’t hear me the multiple times I mentioned I would be wearing these frames every day and not everything I owned would match that color combo and design. She also found a few quieter frames, as well, but nothing that I really liked. If you are on the hunt for glasses, keep in mind that you must stay focused on your objective and you must not«impulse by» or be goaded into buying frames that you are not 100% happy with. And above all else, do NOT fall for the«would you like an outside opinion» routine. She’ll just call over her coworkers to tell you that the frames are«perfect.» This is a great place to add to your«Search for spectacles» list and they do take insurance, but really, I found some even better pairs at Insight Optical and Eye Contact.
