I almost feel like I don’t need to write this review, as I think the good people of Unilocal wouldn’t end up here anyways… but I have a Medicinal Chemistry test looming, so procrastinate I must. This weekend, Houston hosted a conference for pharmacists and pharmacy students from many states throughout the South. The W. was chosen and reserved for a post-conference social. When I arrived at the club, I groaned — girls in «evening wear» rompers with knee-high boots waited in line to get in. Not my style at all. But as I wanted to join my colleagues, I went ahead and paid the $ 10 to park(which they initially said would be $ 5). As I walked up to the club, I noticed several of my friends standing outside… turns out that despite earlier negotiating that members of the pharmacy conference would not be charged cover, they had arbitrarily decided to start charging $ 10pp to get in. No thank you…(Let me also mention that we saw a lot of non-conference members being let in for free at that time). The smug bouncer ignored conference organizers who tried to speak to him… obviously too cool for anyone there with his faux-European hipster outfit. A large portion of our conference that was already inside ended up leaving to go to Washington. W., you sacrificed considerable drink profits for the sake of minimal cover profits.
