Great staff at the bar, awesome food. Love this spot. Erin the bartender is the best!

As in Dan G.‘s review the bartender was swearing at everyone and instead of last call, simply announced that she was«f-ing done» and«no more beer». This was after I had waited at the bar for quite a long time waiting to buy beers before last call. Someone who was either a manager or pretended to be one started getting aggressive with my boyfriend while he was waiting to buy beer. Apparently he was in his seat.(He wasn’t sitting) This isn’t the fault of the bar, but no less puts a picture to the kind of crowd that was there — While I was waiting to use the restroom a guy came up, stood in front of the door to the ladies restroom and gave myself and the woman next to me his best sleazy pick-up line. On top of that, once cordially rejected, wouldn’t move out of the way of the door. As per Dan G.‘s review: To top it off, the manager openly threatened to charge all open tabs an extra 40% if they weren’t closed before 1:30am. That seemed like shady business practice but I was informed by a police officer(obviously off-duty) we were with that it is indeed illegal to do that. We left shortly thereafter. I had never been here before that night and I will certainly not go back. Hands down one of the most uncomfortable experiences I’ve had at a bar.

The bartender greeted me with, «What the f*ck do want?» One of the owners or managers told my friend, «You’re in my f*cking seat.» while he was waiting to be served. The bartender didn’t announce last call, she simply threw her hands in the air and yelled, «I’m f*cking done, no more beer.» To top it off, the manager openly threatened to charge all open tabs an extra 40% if they weren’t closed before 1:30am. That’s when we left. All in all, this place is abhorrent. Don’t expect to be treated nicely. It had a nice dive-bar vibe several years back, but unfortunately it’s no longer worth the cheap beer.

Our overly hangry tourist butts found our way here after a morning of apple picking, and my expectations, though low, were completely blown out of the water. We walked in due to some good online reviews, found ourselves in an empty, smoky bar, and started to turn around when an employee stopped us and promised that her cook us anything we wanted, fast, and it would be better than anything we’d get elsewhere. I couldn’t turn away from a sales pitch like that. I’m so glad we stayed. Not only did we receive a delicious and generous helping of fish and chips in literally 5 minutes, but my husband had buffalo wings that were literally the best we’ve ever tasted. My only negative of this place was the smoke inside, but we sat outside and it was perfect. Thanks for making us stay :)

The beer selection is vast but nothing worth writing about. The food was very run of the mill for a bar. My girlfriend ordered the $ 19 salmon and it tasted like it was recently thawed and was nothing special. For that price we expected just a little more. Not to mention that the bar smelled a bit like old stale beer. All in all the place is average. The atmosphere was friendly but that’s really about it. Don’t think we’ll ever be back. Much better places out there for a better beer selection and value for the food. Not recommended if you’re looking to try something different.

It has the appearance of a dive bar(maybe it is) but some friends and I stopped in for lunch and we were happily surprised by the great pub food, excellent service and cheap beer. If I were local, I’d go back.

Went here many moons ago and wasn’t overly impressed; went here again recently and got the same feeling. Stopped in during a Pats game and the bar was full, with a half dozen tables also full. We sat at a high top and waited over five minutes for service, at which point we weren’t sure if you had to order at the bar or if there was table service. We only saw one server who was also the bartender, so clearly he was working as fast as he could but it wasn’t adequate to meet the demands of everyone. Strike one. I went up to the bar and asked what light beers were on draught…*gasp* «only Guinness.» Ok so it’s an Irish bar but ONE beer on draught? Strike two. We got bottled beer and again waited for someone to take our food order… that never happened, and we left. Disappointing to say the least. Next time we’ll try Horseshoe Pub which is right next door.

Its a pub. You all know how I feel about pubs and pub food. But its clean, bartenders are wicked nice, the place is clean(for a sports pub) and they have two pool tables. Simple, to the point. Not a bad place to hang, catch a game, plan your next move in town or around, grab a snack, a cold one, and maybe make new friends.

Will never go there again. It’s a place where if someone doesn’t know your name you’re not welcome. DONOT even think of sitting in an empty chair. They’ve reserved their chairs for invisible clients. The staff and environment is horrible. They don’t have a good beer selection. Bartender used the bathroom and didn’t even wash her hands. I hope the board of health comes in here one day. I must’ve seen 5 or 6 mice running around. I wish I brought some cheese for them. When I confronted the bartender about the rodent issue I was told that if I don’t like it here I can go somewhere else. In which I absolutely did. I would NOT recommend this place to my worst enemy.

quick stop one evening for a couple of beverages at Finnegans. First time there gave me the feel of a local town bar. Located in a strip mall setting the bar had a couple of pool tables and video games as well as a variety of table and bar seating. Bar was overall in a clean state as well. We did not have any food while there so could not speak of that but did see others eating there and they did have a what appeared to be a full service kitchen. I would go again if in the area.

First off this is clearly a townie type bar but with the décor it seems as if its trying to be something else. I mean don’t get me wrong I love a dirty dark pub/bar with cheap beers on tap and a special feel. But this isn’t it, it’s got an industrial feel, like they bought all the décor out of the store at the mall. You feel like a misfit as soon as you walk in basically as you wind your way through pools players(wouldn’t this have been better off in the front) and you can see into the kitchen where the cook is gloveless throwing random food about. I did not test the food mostly due to this fact. The bar has no draft beer options which I expected on the way in. There are a fair amount of bottle options, but I always feel a little weird in a bar without beers on tap. However even for a budlight it is not the price you would imagine for such a place. I will say the bartender, a lady, was rather nice. Perhaps not overly attentive, but friendly enough which made me feel slightly bad about the 2 starts.

They would get 5 stars if they served draft beer, Wings are the best in MA. I’ve had Buff’s and Wendel’s and neither compare to finnegans. Bone-in or boneless they both hot a home run. Give it a try,

PROS: Definitely a townie bar. Cheap beer, pool tables, myriad TVs, and classic arcade games. Definitely the place to go in Hudson to watch the Bruins or Patriots game and kick back with a few drinks. CONS: Food is really not their specialty. And like a lot of townie bars, both staff and clientele suffer from the«we’re better than everyone else» attitude.

I give this place 4 stars because it was exactly what my boyfriend and I were looking for the night we went. We were looking for a quieter place to get a drink and play pool. We walked in around 9:45 on a Saturday and it had less than 10 people in the bar, almost all townies. There are two pool tables, one of which was completely open. Drinks are reasonably priced and the mixed drinks were average in terms of strength. I definitely recommend this place if you live in the area and are looking for a more low-key night than Boston.

Been here enough to give a balanced review of the food. When I go I normally stick with the wings, and they rarely let me down. The best thing is going in on Sundays during football season and getting a wings and a cold beer and watching football. Best thing, on Sundays they are only 25 cent each. I mean, that is almost ridiculous in terms of price. All the food I have had, I have enjoyed and their menu is more than just pub food. Steak Tips = awesome. Nachos = Huge. Only thing that I wish is they had beer on tap, but for good pub food, one of the better places in town.

They have Paddy’s whiskey. Someone at my table got some really horrid potato skins once… but. they have some of the best whiskey made by human hands!

Good place to knock a few back and play some pool! :) Easy parking, always a good menu with basic pub food done right, and cheap beers. They have lots of tvs to watch the game or whatever is on, 2 pool tables and a jukebox.
