They take left over salsa from tables and spit it back in the warmer so it can be served to other customers! Customer service is terrible.

Not sure how long this place has been around. but when we stopped in, there was not a soul in sight. We walked in and sat where we wanted, our waitress was nice enough but really didn’t have any service with a smile. Food did come out hot and tasted fine, just not anything other than the usual. Prices were kind of high, I would rather go to a more established restaurant than here next time. I mean $ 8 for a cheese quesadilla… really?

Delicioso! I think we found the replacement for our beloved Mex food joint that moved far far away. We stopped in for dinner, which is not their busy time. Lunch is their jammin’ time. Chock-a-block full. The prices here are reasonable and their food ranges from good to really really good. I love their guacamole and for some reason, the frijoles a la charra. Hub enjoys the cheese enchiladas. I need to try more items, but keep getting my faves. Try the chile relleno. I like the plain cheese one. They use Oaxaca cheese, all runny and tasty. The interior is pretty basic. Don’t look for great ambiance. Also, the service is pretty good, but we’re usually one of the only ones in the place, as we generally go for dinner. I recommend the place. It’s really one of the better places for Mex food in the Humble area.

Big bright sign, right across from the Humble police station. I’d just dropped of a vanload at the airport; it was 6:30 on Thursday. I was up for a dinner in Humble. I was hungry enough or well dressed enough for Chez Nous. This placed looked promising, and, hey, there wasn’t a Unilocal review on it yet. Inside was clean, well lit without being overlit. But I noticed the place was nearly empty. Took a booth by the West windows. Waitress cheerfully turned down the volume on the TV, which kept getting switched back and forth between English and Spanish stations. I had the Asado de Puerco — pork in a spicy ancho chile sauce. I asked for the Charo beans, no rice. Came with a salad. $ 8.99. The pork was tender and the meat was of good quality. The ancho sauce had a good zing to it. It had a nice thickness to it. I lingered over it. Presentation was weak; it looked sloppy on the plate. Salad was pathetic, even as Mexican salads go — about two tablespoons of shredded iceberg with a teaspoon or two of diced roma tomato. Red salsa was decent, hardly memorable. Waitress was initially lost in space, but made a landing and started refilling my glass and started checking in with me. There’d been customers at two other tables when I came in; only one by the time I left. They’re clearly not subsisting on the dinner trade. Tipped the waitress a little extra just because she had no other business. Mens room, tho clean and well-tiled, had no fixture to hold the toilet paper; the roll just sat on the tank. Twas out of hand towels too. Waitress didn’t seem overly concerned when I reported it.
