Chicken Fried Steak sandwich was frozen prefab and had to pay for white gravy. Not worth searching out.

I’m all about supporting mom and pop shops, this place wasn’t that great. I don’t recommend coming here if you are on lunch break. It took 20 to 25 mins to get my «chicken fried chicken sandwich basket». It wasn’t chicken fried chicken at all. More like the premade banquet chicken patties you get at any local grocery. I’m ok with that, but why the long wait in between? People moved a bit slow also. If you have to eat and you are in the area. AND you can’t go to far. try Lia’s…I guess

Good food, basic environment. Not the fanciest place but the entire menu is awesome. Prices won’t break the bank either!

Nasty stale toast. My boyfriend got a burger and the buns were old. My «salad» was very gross and I just can’t believe I wasted money and time going there. Never again. Don’t even try the catfish. I’ve never had catfish that horrible.

I love this place. It has been around for years. The food is good and simple food. The burgers are made to order.

Food is edible if your hungry. Tried the chicken fried steak, wish I has tried a burger. The steak and onion ring were both straight from the freezer. Reminded me of school cafeteria food. If I go here again, a burger will be the choice. BTW: the vanilla shake was Excellent. I also noticed they have soft cones.

We loved the onion rings! Burger was just ok. Cheep prices. Dinning area was pretty warm because of big windows I think.

I’ve written elsewhere about the huge price increases in the past 1 – 2 years. I used to be able to order a «gyro basket all Greek» and get a large gyro and an awesome portion of Greek salad instead of fries, for around $ 5.50. That now costs $ 8.50 + $ 1.50 for the Greek salad. I think that $ 4.50(not even a little at a time – a full on hike in price) is a stiff increase in price for a longtime favorite, even *WITH* new owners having taken over the business. That in consideration, my son and family wanted the super cheeseburger basket and gyro plates from Lia’s yesterday, so I obliged. I called in my order by phone and headed to the restaurant. When I received my food, it was from the same older caucasian woman who usually takes food orders both in the restaurant and at the drive in window. I took the food to my parents house for them to enjoy. To my dismay, I realized that my order was incomplete because they did not include the tzatziki sauce(cucumber sauce) with the gyro plate. I combed through all of the containers and accompanying bag to make sure that they hadn’t packed it elsewhere. I was shocked. I mean, a gyro isn’t even a gyro without that accompaniment. I called the restaurant back and told them of their mistake. They told me «sorry» and asked how far I was from the restaurant because I could either drive all the way back or they would«owe me one». I asked, «owe me a gyro dinner or a sauce?» A SAUCE.(crickets chirping…) I told them, «well, if I make the trip back for the sauce you mistakenly left out from my order, will you make it worth my while?» She asked what I meant and I suggested that they offer me a complimentary shake in return for having to drive back for my sauce. They actually put me on hold to ask about this. When they got back on the line, it was the older woman who not only took my money at the restaurant, she is the very person who always claimed to be such a stickler for checking the orders before they went out. She addressed herself as the assistant manager and told me that they could not offer me a free shake. She suggested that I make the drive back to the restaurant for the sauce or call the manager back at another time, since they were not there. WHAT A JOKE! I told her that I have been a customer of the establishment for 30+ years and that my patronage had already dwindled because of the spike in prices and the difference in food quality – BUTTHISWASTHEDEALBREAKER. I know it would have cost them 20 cents in ice cream to whip up a shake. Probably not even that much. What I was seeking was decent customer service in return for a mishap on their end. It’s not like they forgot my ketchup and I would have to use my own from the fridge. It’s not like I can whip up some tzatziki sauce on my end – hell there are no other establishments selling Greek food in a 15 mile proximity. And let’s be real… A GYROISNOT A GYROWITHOUTTHEFRIGGIN’ SAUCE! I thanked her for her time and let her know that I would not be giving them any more of my business. I told my son to savor his Lia’s super cheeseburger because it would certainly be his last. If neighborhood restaurants are going to flip over with new owners/managment, by all means empower your staff to make sound decisions in your absence. The former owner was a facet in that restaurant nearly every time we visited. The new owners are either in a back office or just not on the premises. Let your staff know that an established customer is worth keeping happy – especially when it was a screw up on your end. I’ve been burned more times than I will allow. Visits to Lia’s have been so hit and miss in the last year. I would rather keep my good memories of having gone to Lia’s since I was a little girl(after pee-wee football games, as a matter of fact) than to continue to have bad or mixed feelings about how it all went downhill with the change in owners.

An old fashioned burger joint. It really feels like it has been there forever. Really clean and courteous. The grilled cheese is great and these ladies know how to serve an ice cream cone. For people like me that love good ice in the drinks, the shaved ice they serve is the best.

Great little old fashioned drive in food with some Greek! Awesome burger, fries and shakes plus they have really good gyros and greek salads. Great hole in the wall, it’s where the cops eat.
