My cousin, who is a ‘regular’ at your restaurant recommended us for our Cousin’s Night Out. I’m not from that area so I pleasantly surprised when we came to dine at your grill. Although the lighting was a little dark and they sat us in the corner I assume they were giving us as much space as possible. The Tex-Mex style was quite good. The guacamole was fresh and the chili on queso was pretty good as well. Everyone had a different dish and our plates were spotless. The wait time was minimal and the service was very, very good. Our drinks were never unkept and our chips and salsa were also always topped off. Overall it was a great experience, we’ll definitely be back.

Service was friendly, good & food/drinks were promptly on time; chimichanga was really good. I would recommend this place to all fellow Unilocal’ers!!!

Hands down the best Mexican food I’ve ever had. I drive all the way down from the galleria just to eat there. Family business with he beat hospitality. Great energy during football and basketball games. I definitely recommend!

Great margaritas & food. You have to arrive early on weekends… it gets packed I’ve been going there for about 2 yrs and haven’t had an issue with the service or the food.

The décor was simple with random décor here and there. As I looked up above my table there was a duck then on another wall there was a long horn head in the middle of ½ plastic strawberry and other vegetable of some sort. Too each is their own right! We ordered mixed fajitas for 2 beef and chicken, a side of grilled vegetables. I thought the fajitas had great flavor just wished the beef was medium to medium rare, in my opinion it was over cooked. Chicken fajita was nicely done and thank goodness not dry. Guacamole could have used a little more flavor maybe salt and lime but it was still edible. Wait staff was very attentive to the point we felt slightly rushed, I thought maybe because they’re busy but restaurant had no wait and plenty of tables. I guess in a way it’s good for patrons who love that and want that type of service. Our check came very quickly once we were given our to-go box, no one asked if we wanted another cocktail or perhaps dessert.

We started with house Margaritas. My husband asked if there was any tequila in them(a valid question). The chips were good & the salsa ok. The pico de gallo was at least 2 days old & I suspect the guacamole was from a bag. The fajitas were tasty although a little too well done: I like mine with a pink center. The charro beans were mostly liquid. Service was good but I’ll continue my search for Excellent Tex-Mex…

My husband had a taste for Mexican food which is rare so I happily obliged when he suggested this new place that he heard was good. Walking into the restaurant we were greeted by trash blowing about outside, i turned up my nose. Upon entering the restaurant we were greeted by a friendly hostess that set us down immediately. The restaurant had a nice dinner crowd! The first thing I saw was almost every table had a margarita so either they are dirt cheap or just plan good. Either way, I decided to pass. A waiter addressed our table rather quickly but didn’t speak great English and kept all interaction short and sweet. They have a bar if you’re wanting more of a happy hour vibe and they even give you a real Mexican birthday serenade with drums and all if it’s your birthday. I ordered the ensalada and it was huge! It’s enough for two people. My husband ordered nachos and they were just mediocre. The best part for me was the tortilla chips. They were warm, fresh and think while the salsa was sort of bland. However, the cheap prices alone will have me giving them a second chances;)

I was here a couple a weeks ago and seem like my guest and I were seated at the right entrance seats and no one came by the table to bring anything nor ask our order for almost 10 minutes. The food was good but seems that they could have used more wait service for guest. The drinks we’re also

Our waiter was great! We have only been here one other time and he remembered us! The food is really good! And the margaritas are the bomb! Sopapillas are highly recommended and the price was right! We may never go back to papasitos.

Let me start by stating, the house margaritas are bomb! You have an option between small and large. The large is around $ 6, small $ 3. The large is exactly that, large! One was more than enough for me. I ordered a small also and my friend and I ended up splitting it. By splitting, I mean she consumed 80%. They only have drinks on happy hour, no food. I ordered the nacho especiales,(not sure if I spelled that correctly). You have an option to choose beef, chicken, shrimp, or combination. I had the combination of beef and chicken. They were great, until I discovered hair in the guacamole. The bar tender, who was very nice and attentive offered to remake them, because they had brought my ticket out early and I had already paid for the meal. Hence, that’s what the three stars are for. Besides my mishap, the service is great! My friend ordered a dish with prawn, and they were very nice in size. She stated they were very tasty also. The place is very lively and it appears that it might be a great weekend spot. I would definitely return. They also have other drink options on happy hour if I’m not mistaken.

My favorite more on the upper-scale side Mexican! Salsa is very flavorful & they serve hot. Happy hour lasts until 3pm 7 days a week. Margaritas are large & strong. They have probably the best service of any restaurant in that area, if they don’t stick you in the back side that used to be a patio. I recently moved away from the area and find myself wanting to make the drive every weekend.

Such a typical Mexican restaurant. My parents love coming here because they do offer some tasty food. They have a pretty decent menu for lunch which reasonable prices. They have great tasting meat options which are typically very juicy. I wouldn’t say this place is the best, but it does do the trick.

It was good! Came in on a Friday and man it was packed but still the service was fast and fresh. I will go back to this place for some drinks and food just for the good atmosphere. Our waiter was very polite and made sure our drinks were always topped off.

To go orders are wrong 40% of the time and the flour tortillas are fake. Margaritas are good tho … Advice to owner, you make a lot of money invest in a flour tortilla machine.

So I’m no expert when it comes to authentic Mexican, I just sort of assume just about every place I go to is TexMex, and Mi Rancho is no exception. I came on a Sunday and was pleasantly surprised to see that the lunch specials carry over to the weekend, so I ordered the lunch tamales and my wife had the steak fajitas. I really can’t complain about any of my meal, it was exactly what I was expecting and everything tastes pretty good. My wife’s steak was seasoned perfectly and cooked pretty well. The ambiance is also pleasant and very family friendly. I’d go here again but it wasn’t so amazing that I’m not gonna try the other two Mexican spots in the area.

Ordered take out food tonight. Gross!!! Queso Flameado(melted cheese with chorizo) of course like the last 3 times they messed up my order. All I got was a disgusting tray of rubbery cheese, no chorizo … I gave them numerous chances but over the last year their food as well as the service went downhill. That was the last chance I gave them. Note, this used to be my favorite tex mex place in the area.

Strong drinks and yummy food! The steak is always tender and nothing is ever over cooked, it’s always packed and the salsas are good too. I love this place because people are always there, the margarita are really strong so be prepared. You should visit!

I grew up in Humble, so every time I come back to visit the family, Tex-Mex is always on the top of the list for what to eat. Since I’ve moved away, a lot of places have popped up increasing the competition for Tex-Mex, but this place can hold its own when it comes to food. I do sea areas of oppurtunity when it comes to the service, which has been hit or miss on the times that I have come here. Food: 4 stars. The food is well seasoned and has good, authentic flavor. The rice and beans are done very well, and the salsa is nice and chunky(although, I wish it had just a tad less cilantro in it). The tortillas are extremely greasy, and are nothing but shortening/lard and flour, so I usually only eat one of them. The enchiladas are probably 3.5 stars, but I usually get the fajitas. The chicken, beef, and shrimp are all good. One thing I am not a fan of, is that they put the guacamole inside of a fried tortilla bowl, and put that on top of the sizzling platter. I don’t know about you but I like my guacamole cold to room temperature, not warm. Service: 2 stars: I’ve been to this location and to the one in Tomball, and this one consitently falls short in service compared to its sister location. Last time I was here, our waiter never came around. I think it was actually 30 minutes after he took our drinks orders before he came back to take our food orders. Luckily, the bus lady was on top of her game, so our chips and salsa never got empty, but half an hour(before taking a food order) is inexcusable Price: 3.5 stars. Typical suburb prices. There are cheap and expensive options on the menu depending on what you get, but all in all, not bad. Couple tweaks in the service department, and this place will be a 4 star establishment.

The food isn’t bad, but the service is lacking tremendously. It took forever to get a drink order in and I have yet to get my water refilled(which sucks because the salsa is hot). We just put in our food order, the waiter ignored our water glasses and rushed us while taking the order. This is my second time here, I came back because of the food but I am not returning because of this terrible customer service experience. P.S. I dropped my rating to 1 star from 3 because we literally had to ask for our waters to get refilled.
