Visited this eatery and tried the phở and spring rolls. Everything was tasty and service was excellent. The ambiance is casual!

Great food but be careful paying with a plastic card, they overcharged my debit card by $ 20.00.

I’m not supporting bad service but bad service is what you expect at a Vietnamese restaurant. They are not properly trained, most of the time it’s just a family owned restaurant. Come here to eat, not for the service or else you will be highly disappointed. The great thing here is that they serve bun bo hue, not spicy enough but good. I hate the spring rolls in this area has cheap meat(cha lua) in it, such a rip off. I have never seen that in California, such a disappointment.

The food here is great. It’s flavorful, hot and served quickly. The kitchen really does a fantastic job; they know what they’re doing back there! BUT the waitstaff and the cashier are horrible. They take your order and disappear; one person takes the order and a totally different one brings the food. Both times I’ve been here I’ve had to go up to the cashier and ask for drink refills, not only that I had to take my own cup & wait. Why have waitstaff and expect a tip if I have to get my own refill? I love/hate this place because the food is exceptional it’s just you can’t really take phở to go it doesn’t taste the same to me or I would in a heartbeat. I just can’t overlook the bad service if you’re going to stare me down at the register as I sign my receipt and expect a tip you better work for it.

I used to come here a lot but moved away for a few years was really excited to go back but the service was so bad I would never go back. The owner actually waited on us we ordered egg rolls and they used to come with a heaping portion of carrot straws, bean sprouts and cilantro the amount they use now is probably about a fifth that they used to so I asked for extra cilantro as I love it and he brought back a single stem of cilantro with about 3 leaves. I decided OK no biggie then we decided to order an entrée to split and I asked if he could bring a nice sized helping of cilantro with it and he huffed and said he could but would have to charge me for it. Again all these dishes used to have a decent amount that came with it but I guess the owner has pinched his purse in lieu of a happy customer I cancelled the order paid for the rolls and will look for a new phở place. The owner was rude and abrupt and obviously cheap.

Their food is always good. I love the soup that comes with the 31. Only complaint on food is the meat is sometimes fatty, and that’s something I can’t stand. It’s not bad enough to make me stop eating there. I often just pick it off & continue with my delicious meal. However, the service? Psh, worst service I’ve ever received anywhere, not even kidding. The balding older man with glasses is TERRIBLE. They need to take him off of waiting tables. Me & my sister went here a couple of months back. We hadn’t even sat down good before he stormed over there and screamed«what do you want to drink?» I asked for Sweet Tea, he said okay & stormed off again. Came back with unsweet tea, which I’m not a fan of. Another younger girl brought out my spring roll and soup and I asked her if I could switch out my drink for something different. She looked confused and told me I’d have to pay for another drink? The guy came running over there screaming«that’s what you ordered. This is what you ordered. We don’t change, you’ll have to pay for another drink» all I wanted was a different flavor drink!!! Then they proceeded to have an attitude like I asked them for some huge favor or something throughout the meal. I paid and left no tip(because they never even came back to the table anyways) & I never leave no tip, ever. That’s how mad I was!!! This wasn’t the first time I’ve been in there and gotten rude service from the balding glasses guy. He’s rude and loud and annoying. I now go to #1 to order my food even though this one is down the street. If I could get everyone in humble to not go in there because of that ONE guy I’d be doing the city justice. He’s the worst. Don’t even waste your money or time at this location!!! Go to Phở An #1!

I like hole in the wall food places, given their food and service is good. I was excited when we sat down, ordered, and they brought a plate with fresh bean sprouts, fragrant basil, and sliced jalapeños. Our table was a bit grimy and the waiter was a little curt, first hint. The food arrived quickly but wasn’t good. My Mom had ordered a grilled shrimp dish on a bed of rice with a side of vegetables. The shrimp was so tough you couldn’t pinch through it. It was rubbery and flavorless. My beef phở tastes of grease and a lot of salt. I politely told him about our food and apologized for the inconvenience. I asked for the cheque and our waiter shouted something to the guy behind the register, then disappeared into the kitchen. He came back to the table, we asked for the ticket again. He goes and sits down by the table near the register along with the other two employees that have come to spectate. We paid 9.00 for two soft drinks and an apple juice for my son… Rude service and bad food.

Great spot for lunch. The staff is friendly and will get you in and out quickly. The food is pretty good, too. I don’t care for meat in my phở. Weird, right? Anyway, if I ask for a veggie one they bring it full of different veggies and it’s delicious. Hits the spot! I come here a lot with my dad for lunch, and I have had several dishes and they are all great! Recommend for a good lunch spot

I’ve eaten at the other two Phở An’s, and for me this one is the best of the three. I’ve always only had just the phở and spring rolls, and I’d say these items are comparable among the 3 restaurants. But the service at the other two were a lot worse, with Phở An 2 being the worst. Hard to believe? Well realize this is all relatively speaking. I’ve been half a dozen times now to Phở An 3, but only once to the other two because the service was so bad. Hopefully you don’t get the old man at Phở An 3. I don’t think he’s evil. He just doesn’t understand customer service. But most of the younger staff tends to be nicer. Thankfully I only crave phở about once a month.

Not the best phở I’ve had but it’s alright. Service though is absolutely terrible. Constant attitude from the old man. I only get take out now from there cause there’s one guy who works the register who is actually respectful.

The walls are dirty and the tables were dirty and the service was nonexistent. I ordered the number one we supposed to have a lot of meat in it and when it came in he barely had anything. So I ate my noodle broth and left and when not be back there again

I’ve been there a couple of times with my wife. The food is tasty. The value really isn’t good when you consider that the huge soup for avg of $ 9 only has a couple of scraps of meat. When you then add that their attitude often sucks, I get the feeling of being in the Soup Nazi s kitchen. I ones got their at 8:35p after a lengthy drive, and their response was«no, u can’t eat here, we closed already, u come back tomorrow». When I pointed to the sign which said closed at 9p it didn’t get me anywhere. Another time I got there before 8:30p and was told that the kitchen was closed but I could get take-away order. Tonight I took 2 orders of deep fried Vietnamese egg roles home and the order for $ 6 which normally has 4 pcs only had 3 pcs. That’s not nice put par for the course. Won’t be going back.

I stopped here on the way home from work last Friday for a bowl of phở to go. Was actually pretty good, the serving size was huge and while I don’t usually do tofu it wasn’t bad. I probably won’t order the tofu version again, unless it’s Friday during the Lenten season, but still not bad. Service was quick and pretty entertaining since someone came in looking for an ATM machine and seemed a little upset when she was told there was none. I will note that the floor was kind of slippery but figured since it was rainy they were probably randomly mopping up tracked in mud/water.

I have eaten here twice and got food to go twice. Each time I have been happy with my food. I like to-go better because it’s such a large serving and is plenty for 2 meals. A small phở is $ 6.99 and a large is $ 7.25. Not sure on the size difference but for only 25 cents more why not just go with the large? Perfect hangover food ! I will be back anytime I have a craving for some good phở.

The Phở is ok. Not the best but worth going back to in this area. I wouldn’t drive out of my way to eat here if you live far away. The service sucks a lot. Rarely do I get a smile from the staff. Sometime, especially on the weekdays, they ignore you for a bit and take forever to come take your order. I mean, come on, it’s Phở for goodness sake!

There aren’t many Vietnamese places in Humble and especially after a drunken night, we definitely were in search for some soup. We order the springrolls, com suong hot ga, and the bun bo hue. The spring rolls were eh. It literally had 2 pieces of meat and all vegetables. My boyfriend actually liked the rice dish, and the bun bo hue tasted just like phở.

Food is ok. It can easily blend in with the other 100 Phở(s) around Houston. The service is not at all consistent. It’s the only phở restaurant in this area and they’re either super fast or super slow, regardless of how busy or empty the place is. When we cleaned our spoons today, a lot were dirty with crust from food and a bug came out of the utensil holder. Definitely disgusting but what can you do? We didn’t even bother complaining because it looked like the waitress didn’t care when he heard us fuss about it.

I really like their phở. Good portions. It always comes quickly after you order, unless you’re in a large group(this place is prone to make mistakes on a large order). Their spring rolls and fried egg rolls are good. Their thai tea isn’t as great as other places.

Guy taking my to go order was rude. Was rushing me while telling him my order. They only had people at two tables. Once I got home, discovered he got one if the dishes wrong. My brother said he was rude to him when he was in there at other times. Didn’t look particularly clean in there as well. Won’t be back.

Update: I have been back here several times… And only for the food. The phở here is sooo good. Yes there may be places that are better but I haven’t found any in this area yet. The service in this place seems to get worse everytime I go. We had to actually go up to the counter and get refills on water. The egg rolls are AMAZING! As other people said they don’t come out and clean up the tables after customers leave. The owner of this business needs to remove the TV that they are all glued to and just play background music or something else. The employees are too busy worrying about the Tv than keeping people coming back and keeping a clean establishment. It’s too bad v bistro sucks, because I wish I could ignore this place, but damn good food. Did I mention the food is good?
