3.5 Spring roll great! These are definitely one of the better spring rolls I’ve had. Phở good, good broth. Ok service Great place for a quick lunch.

They do phở right! It is a mom and pop shop who are very nice and are very receptive to repeat customers. They serve very good phở’, and the goi cuon(the cold spring roll in rice paper) and cha gio(fried crispy rolls) are good also. Only disappointment was no banh mi bo kho(spicy beef stew with french baguette). If you love strong coffee, definitely try the café sua da which is the iced chicory flavored coffee mixed with sweatened condensed milk, or be weird like me and try it without the ice. It is a great little place tucked away that has the best phở in the area.

Ok I submit. I’ve gone 3 times to each of the 3 Phở restaurants in the Humble, Atascocita area, and this place has the best Phở. Order the #6 and you won’t be disappointed.

I tried out this spot after seeing the review. Yes the spring rolls are good, but the phở was just so-so. The only thing I couldn’t believe is no french bread on the menu. I was a little disappointed. Overall not bad and it is really the only phở place in the area, so beggars can’t be choosers.

Yeah. You heard me right. This little place of awesomeness is called Phở King. Peeps know how I love my phở puns – they’re so phở-née – but those aren’t needed here. The name already does volumes. I first spotted the Vietnamese noodle house a few weeks ago when driving with the ex over to Chili’s(I can’t ever deny a craving for southwestern egg rolls). I glanced over, pointed my finger and gave a stern, «yes.» So last night, as the temperatures dropped, we darted over to Phở King. Phở King is the cleanest and certainly the friendliest Vietnamese restaurant I’ve ever been to. We walked into a room of a few parties already sucking down bowls of broth. The older gentleman, who I assume was the owner, was incredibly kind and immediately took our drink order. Starving, I was quick to order spring rolls – and Vietnamese egg rolls. «Screw the no fried foods diet. I’m hungry!,» I thought. The«owner» reminded us of my grandpa, his looks and demeanor, showing me how to eat the lettuce wrapped egg rolls. Of course I already knew how, but with what little English he spoke, I found him incredibly sincere and I just watched and smiled. The spring rolls were the largest I’ve ever seen – ever. And the peanut sauce, I have to say, is better than Phở Saigon’s. Yup, Crystal L, better than Phở Saigon! I should’ve stopped eating after the apps, but in the mood for phở-nominal phở(whoops, sorry. I had to), I attempted to savor the wonderful spices and flavor of the broth. Not too bad. With a little help from the red pepper sauce, it was perfect. I found out that Phở King has been open for more than three years, and most of their businesses comes from lunch time customers or take out. I hope locals in the area make this their spot for a warm and hearty dinner with the family. Food is cheap, service is five-stars all the way, and the fare is something I could eat everyday. Too bad it’s nowhere near me, but you folks out in Humble have a great place to go to that isn’t barbecue, Mexican or Chinese buffet, so be thankful for that! Phở real.
