Baja Sharkeez

Seems a little trashy now… always dirty and fights happening left and right! Used to be a lot cleaner and more fun. The music is always a hit though!

Went during lunch time and it was pretty empty with minimal staff. Waiter/​cashier/​bartender (yes, one person) overcharged me, so once I caught it on the receipt, I had to wait for the manager to cancel the transaction. I didn’t get an apology, which makes me wonder if it was an accident. My drink was super weak and my request for water was not taken care of. The burrito was pretty good and I liked the décor of the place. I think they would benefit from having their waitresses (there were two) wait on the indoor tables, instead of having the bartender do all the work indoors. He was too busy to provide quality service to everyone in there.

You patio server AJ made a cloudy Sunday June 5^th a bright one for us. Her smile and attitude makes our Sunday mornings always brighter and her work ethics is very impressive.

Headed to Main St for Mothers Day brunch. I did not want to go to Sharkeez bc of my really bad experience last time but my friend insisted bc he received a gift card for a previous bad experience at the Hermosa location. Anyhow, I gave them another try and I am really glad I did. Although there was a girl in training, she was very attentive and friendly and so was the one training her. They were so entertaining towards my 3 year old as well she was laughing the whole time. We missed the Rise n Shine deal but I never knew they had bottomless mimosas with any breakfast order =) The chicken and waffles will change your life thats my breakfast favorite. Yes, I am a fan again and we should all believe in second chances!

This place is alright. Nothing great or crazy. The drinks were ok. I had the shark bite and it was nasty strong lol it took me a while to finish it. I didn’t get to try the food bc it got busy but maybe I’ll give it another try with more people.
Tips:
— you have to order EVERYTHING at the bar
— must have 4 people for the big ass fish bowls
— waitresses/​bartenders are alright, hardly smile lol but just know what you want and you should be ok.

! All you can eat salsa and chips bar, and drinks were soooo good and refreshing. Got a minchalada, and lime erita, was mixed just right. Kinda confused when i just entered, you order at the bar if you wanna sit inside…

I am a local and have been here for a long time. I have seen so many changes in this place! I just wanted to recognize one of their waitress… AJ.
First time I met her on her first day here and she was Amanda on her name tag. She is awesome! I have seen the growth! She is so friendly and always smile… just pain simple., great customer service and makes your feel welcome and good about coming here! Not only just for me as a local but with others customers she is excellent serving the best! I always look foreword coming here at Sharkeez on any days! Taco Tuesday on a local night, sport events such as football with I love, St. Patrick, Halloween, and New Year. Oh, also I throw a birthday party here as well. I have been here all occasions. Oh, I don’t want to forget Kevin who has been a rock for this place for a longest time! I have bright here my friends and family. They all love this place and so do I! Thank you!

Came in on a busy Saturday night for the first time. Told the host our party size and found out the whole place was first come first serve. Lucky for us someone no showed their reservation and we were seated right away. The place is a little loud, but had great food well worth the price.
Self service salsa bar and TVs everywhere to catch every game!

This is a place I’ll never forget. I’m new to drinking and this was the first place I tried a fish bowl:) I really loved the drink and how strong it was! Purposely around just to drink a fish bowl and it was an amazing experience. The atmosphere is loud, could barely hear my own thoughts but the people here were kind and friendly which made my night the greatest. I loved it here!

We were in Huntington Beach for lunch. we stopped here because it seemed fine. The food was ok, I wouldn’t really write home about it. But the waitress was pretty rude. I’m not really sure what else to say about it. We actually considered just leaving when we got there, when she seated us. Seriously, we hadn’t even ordered anything and the person who seated us was so rude we considered just picking up and leaving. If we hadn’t eaten some of the chips and salsa, we probably would have. I don’t think I would go back

The worst service from the waitress ever. She just acted as if we weren’t wanted at the restaurant. The view and atmosphere is the only reason why I even gave this establishment 2 stars. I felt very uncomfortable with asking for another drink, etc. I would much rather go next door for better service.

Thank you Nate, Roxy and Sharkeez for another perfect night! As always, you go out of your way to make sure our group is taken care of. Our platters were delicious, the service was fantastic and the fight song was the cherry on top.

Definitely a fun place. Live music… serve-​yourself chips and salsa… friendly staff. Been to other Baja Sharkeez and they are all pretty much the same. This is the only one that I’ve tried the food. I was very pleased. Had the spicy nacho burrito and I really liked it. Will definitely come back next time I am in HB.

Always a good time at sharkez.
Such a good spot to hang out with friends and have drinks. The crowd is always fun and alive. They play the all types of music, usually all the hits. They have a good selection of drinks and on tap. To order the fish bowl you must have 4 people with 4 id’s, this time we only had 3 people so i asked a random to help me out and they were super cool about it. The bartenders are very nice and work fast, on top of making good drinks. They do serve food and everything always looks good, but i have yet to try any of it.

While I have still not yet tried the food here, Baja Sharkeez is a solid fairly priced drinking option while partying in HB!
Service was great, chips and salsa fine, nothing special, but the drinks were great.
Huge menu of drinks in all sizes, ranging from super sweet to super strong, your pick.
The vibe and décor is noisy, as the place itself, don’t expect to have long, meaningful conversations here, not great for a date night.
Gaudy, but fun start to an evening out that won’t break the bank!

Food was good, service (slow and not very polite) was horrible and the drinks (not consistent, not mixed well) were made mediocre. I also received a drink in a cup with a chipped top. Bar and restaurant 101, never serve anything in or on damaged goods. Jon Taffer would have flipped out! The bartenders need more training with customer service, drink pouring, and paying attention to the cups being used… pretty much basic stuff that you would think a place like this would have down already. 2 stars because the good food and many televisions, otherwise it would be 1 star.

CHEAP «fiesta hour» with drinks under $ 5 and food specials but no frozen margaritas on that menu
Love the outdoor seating, if you’re lucky you’ll get a sidewalk table with pits in the middle that are lit at night
–mango frozen marg: WAY TOO SWEET I could not even finish it
–guacamole and chips: don’t even bother, the chips were so stale and the Guac wasn’t anything special
A nice place to visit for happy hour after a day laying out on the beach!

I love the decorations looking in from outside, the parrots, bananas, lava lamps, fish, surf boards just look mazing, it had a feel of Hawaii mixed with Mexican tropical paradise.
Monday is their best night because they have fajitas with grilled chicken and shrimp, carne asada, onions and vegetables on a skillet for $ 899! it came with a separate plate of guacamole, tortillas, sour cream, beans, rice, pico de gallo and sweet corn for your desert.
The happy hour apps were phenomenal, the mini combos were just $ 4.49, chili relleno, tacos and enchiladas. The margaritas were really refreshing, I don’t know what the other Unilocalers were talking about? drinks like fruit juice? mine was so strong, no after taste mix, margaritas at $ 4.50, it was a bargain, I had 2 and it knocked my socks off!
Their salsa bar is one of a kind, the chips are free, the salsas are all tasty, the picante, green salsa, buffalo sauce, chipotle aioli salsa, cilantro with onions. What’s not to like?
I cannot wait to come back and try their other delicacies, they also have an extensive menu of drinks, all are reasonably priced, maitai for $ 6.25! Salud!
Many Unilocalers who complained about service, must not have been familiar with this restaurant style, they only had one server, you must order at the bar, pay for it then wait at your table, the server will bring them to you, I guess it sort of was ½ self service and they probably did not expect a big tip but we gave them the full tip at the bar when we ordered so if you expect full service, this place is not for you. It was not a long wait so I say service is fine.
I would love to give Sharkeez 5 stars but my husband said he would have preferred full service but I will be baaaaackkk!

Hello, Food is served until 12:30 am really? that was my favorite part.
The food was served pretty fast.
Also, they had Margaritas for 3.75 after 11:00pm awesome!
I usually go to the one at Hermosa Beach, but i decided to change the place to compare.
Here is much bigger than the one in Hermosa.
It felt like it was a saturday night here!
I will totally be coming here again.
