Happy Hour is amazing! Great food and awesome. Thank you Jessica! I will certainly be back in the future.

Bartenders are slow as molasses but drinks are strong so round it out at 3 stars.

This place Is cute and all. BUT…The bartendress is both ugly and a bitch… like really girrrll. The bartender dude is not the brightest crayon in the box. Took him 15 minutes to make 2 margaritas. It’s like guys speed it up. Slow service and stupid, l. Did i mention theyre incompetent? Go somewhere else… you can get drunk somewhere else without the TUDE.

Love love love the décor! So chic! Great prices. Friendly bartenders. Awesome big screen tvs. My only problem is the space is a little small. They do have a nice enclosed patio as well that helps expand the space. Overall, it’s a nice chill place to hang :)

Went here on Friday for a friends private birthday. The décor to this place is like Vegas style clubs. Drinks are expensive so we decided just to do bottle service. The music brought good vibes, they played hip hop, old school, new wave and trance. Basically Anything you request. I love this place because its local and they have private balcony area for the smokers. The bartenders were great. Parking wasn’t bad at all. Bathroom was clean and never full Would i come back yes I would. Would I recommend it yes I would.

This place was decent, even though it’s in the lobby of what must be the world’s worst hotel outside of Iraq. The staff were terrific; warm, funny, and attentive. The food was good, although not great. The chef clearly didn’t understand the meaning of medium-rare, because the burger I got, although tasty, was well-done. The orders came very quickly, though, which was impressive. They have good pours, although a poor selection of scotches and whiskeys(grade of C– vs. what you’d expect to find in a typical bar). The music, though, was terrible — the kind of playlist you’d expect at a frat party or a college dance club. Was definitely not a place that you’d «lounge» around. Also, because of the poor quality of the hotel, I think the patrons there were… less than interesting. I’d go back for lunch because of the food and servers, but it’s definitely not a place I’d go on a Friday night.

Great place to book a private party because you’ll have the whole place to yourself! No one here on weekends. Sad because its such a cute place in such a not so cute hotel. Its a vegas looking lounge on the edge of huntington beach by the freeway, no where close to the beach or poppin main street full of bars. However, this place is right next to Bella Terra and Old World Village.

This lounge is located inside the Huntington Hotel and was empty during my visit-we were probably the only party there aside from the security chilling at the bar. Con was that it was dead and doesn’t have the lounging vibe. Pro is the décor and that you can actually hear the person next to you talk lol. The drink menu was decent.

What an odd place to have a bar! Located in the Huntington Beach Hotel(which is quite a dump) I was surprised to see quite a bit of people here. The decorations have been redone but that was all there was to it. I was here for a conference and stopped by this place with my co-workers. We ordered out drinks at the bar and got a small table to the side. The place was empty at first… there was a couple making out in the corner and tables reserved for bottle service. Bottle service here? You’re willing to pay extra money for this small bar in a dingy hotel? Strange world. The music was okay and they mainly played early 2K hip hop. We decided to leave and walk around outside. When we re-entered the hotel we found that the place was choc-full of Asians, probably from the local area. Save your money for good bottle service and tables somewhere else. This place isn’t really worth it!

Bar Rouge has been fun every time I’ve come down, with a large group or a couple girl friends, its a great atmosphere to dance, drink and have a good time. Bar tenders were always very helpful and made good drinks,(strong) plenty of guys there to by you drinks as well, always a plus Not as many creepers, another plus big dance floor, lots of top 40, from early 2000’s to current which is cool bathrooms are clean and usually don’t have a line at all

I forgot how I stumbled across this place… it was probably through Unilocal. But anyways, I had a girl’s night out here and celebrated my birthday on 2÷8÷2013. When you look at the reviews alone, it’s hit and miss — some had a good time and others not so much. In my situation, my friends and I had a blast! The décor was pretty awesome and we were able to sit in the VIP section. There’s no cover charge to get in, too. The events mananger, JC, was great in helping me plan the evening. I’m a person that’s into the details and so I was in contact with him via email and he answered a lot of my questions. He was even kind enough to let me have a quick tour of the place a couple weeks before my event since I was deciding where to celebrate my birthday. As I mentioned, the décor was pretty awesome. They had a grand re-opening back in December 2012. This place is located inside Hotel Huntington Beach and even the lobby of the hotel looks pretty modern. If anything, bring a camera because you will definitely get a lot of good pictures because of the décor. My friends and I didn’t get the chance to order something to eat since we arrived a bit late in the evening and the kitchen closes at 10:30PM. The menu though had some good stuff listed, so maybe next time we’ll try it. The drinks though were pretty phenomenal. I had the encore elixir and I would order it again. Some of my friends were buying me drinks left and right, and most of the time, they would just ask the bartender to make something sweet for me since I like my drinks that way and each drink was pretty good. There were several bartenders there and they were very helpful and you didn’t have to wait long to order a drink and get it. There was a DJ playing music too. It was mainly Top 40s music(from the late 90s to present), which my friends and I like. We were able to make use of our space in the VIP area and dance. There’s not really a designated dance area, but you can utilize whatever space there is(which is ample) to dance with your friends and have a good time. There is a bigger space near the entrance where many people danced. There weren’t a whole lot of people there that evening, so there was a lot of seating at the bar and in other areas of Bar Rouge. From what I experienced that evening, it’s definitely more of a kickback place versus a club that’s way too crowded and you’re just standing around. Overall, I had a good experience here and I would definitely come back again.

Came here for NYE with a group of about 18 people and had sooo much fun! We purchased our tickets beforehand, booked some rooms, and everything came together smoothly. We had no problems getting in and was able to take tons of photos with the photographer before walking in. Once we got in, you could tell that the place was renovated. Everything was so nice! With events like this, you worry about if you’ll be standing the whole time, but not with this place. There was enough room to dance and tons of places to sit. They even had the pool area open so we can hang out away from the music. There were plenty of bars so you never had to stay in line. My friends raved about the food. I honestly can’t remember since I was way too drunk(lol) but I’m sure it was delicious :) And big bonus point for the ladies — I didn’t have to stand in line for the bathroom! And it was clean too!!! ;) I heard they have amazing drinks on regular nights so I will definitely try that too.

Wish I could give this place zero stars. the owner is absolutely a crook. the owner had offered our birthday party free admission to get in for New Years Eve. once our party got there he changed it to 20 dollars per person, then as more of our party came to changed it to 50 dollars per person if we were told upfront that he would do this we would never have given this place our business. in the end we left. so beware if you’re planning a birthday party or any event there.

Bar Rouge, you confused me. You attempted to create a classy bar and dining experience, but served us water in plastic cups. You seemed really modern, but played some bizarre music. Was that something from Kansas City, Missouri circa 1965? You offered a brand new menu, but forgot traditional serving practices like bringing the soup before the entrée. With that said, my visit was still relatively enjoyable. The seating was intimate and extremely comfortable with all of the cushions available. The drinks were tasty, tall, and affordable(try the Encore Elixir). The French Onion Soup was delicious and a steal for $ 5. The BBQ Chicken Kebobs, while not large enough to be considered an «entrée», were tantalizing. The Grilled Asparagus with balsamic dressing complemented the BBQ Chicken Kebobs quite nicely. Service was slow. The bartenders doubled as waiters. We waited a considerable amount of time for the food and check to arrive. Free parking in the lot directly behind Bar Rouge.

Super shady business practices. We were on a guest list for FREE entry for the non-drinkers and $ 50 for the open bar. When we arrive they claimed they were«out of yellow free wristbands» and it would be $ 20⁄25. Really? To my knowledge, doing a bait and switch is illegal! Someone also forgot to hide those wristbands because there was a huge pile of them right on the podium! Many of my friends left because of this so it ruined our night of sharing the New Year’s holiday all together.

Grand re-opening of bar rouge tonight with brand new menu developed by chef wendie huffman being launched and brand new drink menu by master mixologist Chris Brooks!!! Small and intimate, this is the perfect place for a birthday party or any gathering for mature folk. Not the clubby scene for the younger kids… This place oozes with sophistication and ambience for the working professional crowd. Perfect for happy hours… Killer specials. Daily special events and promos… And super delicious food/drink…giant Loungey yet cozy outdoor patio too! Amazing friendly staff… My new favorite place! PS: I CANDRINKTHEENCOREELIXIRASMYWATERREPLACEMENT. and the rouge vojito. Who needs water anyway?

I’ve been here before remodeling and after remodeling. HUGE improvement! I love this place! Yes, it’s small and no dance floor but it’s still awesome. It’s a bar not a club! If you want a bigger space then go to a club! This is great for chilling with friends. Has an awesome patio too. The décor is awesome, unlike anything I’ve ever seen. Great place to have a birthday party or celebrate something. You can contact the manager here to book your parties! I had my birthday party at the hotel a few years ago and it was awesome! Prices are decent and everyone is nice!

I went here with my friend to grab some drinks. We went here because I saw on Unilocal that the drinks were relatively cheap and that the inside looks nicely decorated. After being there, I can tell you that that is all true. I got a strawberry daquiri for $ 7 and my friend got a corona for $ 6. My daquiri was delicious. Nice and sweet with a punch of coconut because of the malibu. What was disappointing for my friend(and not so much for me because I dislike the taste of beer), was that the selection of beer was very low quality. It was the lighter beers that people normally would pass up for the better tasting IPA drinks. The place is a full bar however so the hard, high quality liquor was still there. The place was dim, had nice music, and the décor was very fancy and cozy. As for the atmosphere, I was a little disappointed that the bar wasn’t as busy as I would have liked it to be. When we arrived, there were only about four people there. Granted we did get there at like 9PM. But we stayed there for about two hours and the amount of people only increased by about five. I asked the bartender, Roy, if the place gets any busier and he said, «yes, I don’t know why it is so slow today,» so who knows. The bartender was really nice and respectful. I felt like he kept a watch of the interactions that were going on which definitely makes you feel secure as a girl. Overall, I would go again if I wanted a few drinks. Hopefully the next time will be more crowded.

Went here for a friend’s birthday party on Saturday night, and I gotta say I had a nice time at this place. The bar itself was kinda small, but comfortable and not very busy until the rowdy crew I was with pulled in around 11:00PM hahaha. The drinks were inexpensive, the décor was nice, they had VIP tables and bottle service if you wanted such a thing, a nice sized patio outside, and decent music if you’re into the sort of popular hip-hop that typically gets played at clubs. I am, at least in this sort of environment, and so I quite enjoyed Bar Rouge. My only real complaint was that there was no actual«dance floor,» but that didn’t stop anyone from dancing. Just find a piece of floor, dance on it, and viola! Dance floor. That’s what we did. I would not hesitate to come back here for a night out with friends.

Never knew the Huntington Hotel had a lounge! I came here on a Thursday night because a friend of a friend was DJing. I actually really like the place, not the Thursday crowd, but the place is very cute and nicely decorated. Too bad it was so empty that day, but we were just there to chill and sit around so it was nice. The bartender was not very nice and she also regret to tell us of any specials they were having even though we asked. I think they have happy hour until 7pm and again after 10pm. The place itself is great. Its kind of small, but heck it’s a lounge not a giant club. They have little private booths so it’s very intimate. Its decorated in a dark burlesque-Victorian style. They also have outdoor seating which is nice. There was zero ID checks, not at the door or at the bar. I’m sure there were definitely a few teenagers who crept in. I will definitely give this place another shot on a Friday or Saturday night.
