Amir is so kind excellent place beautiful mosaic inside. Beautiful historic place a 100 year old building its gorgeous. Kindest people work there definitely going back. Amir gave me some pretty sea shells his art is so unique and exquisite. I love my free picture!!! If you are downtown definitely come and check this place out !!!

I live locally, but if we’re planning a bonfire or a day out on the beach and forget something, we go here. The staff is friendly, they have a large selection of everything from soft drinks to beach toys to liquor. Plus, it’s an iconic piece of Huntington Beach history. Love this place!

I asked the Indian worker there for zigzag cigars, then he gave me zigzag wraps after I had already paid him in cash. Then I asked to return and get the cigars I asked for and he wouldn’t refund me. Not going back there!

Great vibes and great buys in HB at El Don Liquor store landmark! Whenever I’m in town I love to stop by and grab all my alcohol, as well as, beachy needs! The store is so much more beautiful on the inside then I remember. They offer a variety of fine wines and spirits as well as excellent priced merchandise. They had dog toys, snacks, beach towels, sun tan lotion, even boogy boards for rent! Amir is definitely taking amazing care of this wonderful establishment. I love supporting small local businesses like this one! Thank you for providing excellent customer care and products!

We stumbled upon this liquor store on our way back to our hotel. Needed some beverages for our romantic weekend getaway! Amir was super nice and helped us pick out some tasty beer and champagne. He also threw in some waters, red cups, limes and a plastic silverware set so we didnt have to call room service for anything. Very generous guy. Next time we go to Huntington, we’ll definitely be purchasing all our adult beverages from Amir at El Don Liquor! Thanks for the hospitality :)

Great spot right by the pier to rent boogie boards bikes and grab some champagne on the way to the beach! Amir helped us out and did an awesome job. def stop here if you are in town it’s right off PCH.

I have been coming to this liquor store for 48 years now. I remember buying sodas with my grandpa when I was just a little kid and I just popped in here last night and boy was I amazed. The place is completely redone, very nice layout and they even have boogie board and surfboard rentals now. It looks like a store that would belong inside the Hyatt. I had to pleasure of chatting with the owners Amir and Cecilia. Super sweet people. Not what you would expect. If you are here from out of town, grab one of their tee shirts and take it home with you, this place is a classic.

On vac passing by Huntington Beach, fam and I decided to swim at the beach. Prob was we didn’t have any gear. Decided to shop around needed to rent boogie boards, buy towels, swim trunks and sun block. The nice gentleman at the counter was super helpful and friend. The best part were the prices. This guy wasn’t trying to break the bank he was super affordable all things considered that this place is on the beach. Last, he was ultra friendly to our kids which really speaks to this guys humble yet friendly approach to service. Great job El Don

Super convenient, easy to get to. We stayed at the Strand, I could have spit on it from our hotel room. Right on PCH. They gave pretty everything you need for the beach, etc. They’re booze selection is unbelievable, but remember, hide it on the beach! CA law.
The owner is super cool. Knew what my game plan was. :)

On vacation from Colorado with 3 of my best friends.
Needed alcohol and beach attire. In the military. Not only did my man Ahmir hook us up with everything we needed, we did it super cheap and when the boogie board I rented broke after a wave I returned and he let me rent another better one. The best service I’ve ever had and one of the nicest counter clerks I’ve ever encountered. Will definitely return here every time for all of my Huntington Beach needs!

Just want to take a second to comment and mirror the other reviews. This place is great. A true «One Stop Shop» for spending a day at the beach, which by the way is directly across the street. Not just a liquor store, El Don Liquor is one of the oldest businesses in Downtown Huntington Beach, in a 110-​year-​old historic building, El Don Liquor rents and sells everything you need for a day at the beach, including swimsuits, beach chairs and umbrellas, beach toys, boogie boards, firewood, fishing rods and bait, sunscreen, and snacks.
The service is also great! We decided to make a last minute stop to spend the afternoon at the beach and the manager Amir went out of his way to help us find exactly what we needed for just a couple hours of beach rentals. Easy to miss if you’re not looking for it.

We happened upon this place on accident and were so surprised by Amir. He was so informative about the area. He helped us plan our stay at the beach the following day. We rented chairs, umbrella, cooler, and volleyball to make for an epic beach stay!
The vintage building is 100+ years old and has a wonderful charm only surpassed by the man running the place. We are headed back to visit with our family and I can honestly say we are making a point to rent here again.
It isn’t every day you are met with such humble customer service who really makes you feel special. People could take a page from Amir himself, he really made our stay special.

El Don Liquor in Huntington Beach is the best value for your dollar and has a newly renovated interior! For people looking to get friendly service this is a one stop shop near the pier. Buy beach gear, games, snacks and everything else you need to hit the beach. Board rentals available and just about anything else you would want for a day downtown. Definitely a five star locals place in a historic 110 year old building.
