I have been a patient of Dr. Morey’s for about 20 years only because my insurance covered him as my primary doctor, so I only had a co-pay. I just called for an appointment and was told since I haven’t been seen in 3 years, I am considered a new patient and will be billed at $ 250 for the visit. Crazy to think you get penalized for staying healthy! Time to find a new doc.

My experience with Dr. Morey has been exactly the opposite of that described by B.H. Dr. Morey has treated my 87 year old uncle for 3 years and I have been with him at every visit. He and his staff have been caring and thorough and have discussed all treatment and findings with us in detail. He has appropriately referred us to other specialists when necessary and he has responded quickly when I have called during non-office hours regarding my uncle’s condition.

I am a Neonatal Intensive Care Nursery RN and have worked with many doctors in the acute hospital setting for 30 + years. I have worked with many Internists on medical-surgical floors. Therefore, I feel qualified in being able to know what the standard is for good patient care and Dr. Morey fails miserably. My mother is sharp as a tack and has spent the last multiple years doing 24⁄7 physical care of her husband who recently passed. She does not suffer from dementia and is very clear on instructions. Dr. Morey had lab information that clearly indicated that my mother needed attention by an oncologist. He may have made an authorization, according to records, but he never TOLD my mother that her cancer markers were extremely elevated, and should see the oncologist ASAP. Also, when he ordered medication and my mother called the office asking what it was for, the nurse was the one to tell her she was diabetic. No way, should a patient not be told this by the doctor and not be given follow up information and an explanation of diabetes with teaching resources. I accompanied my mother to her last appointment with Dr. Morey. When my mother told the doctor that my father, one of his own patients, had passed, his only response was«Oh». I have the feeling that Dr. Morey has passed his prime and has gotten to the point of not really caring about his patients and does not seem interested in providing good care of his patients at all. This is our experience and I find it appalling. Do yourself a big favor a find a better doctor.
