Pure Water Plus

Another water store with «pure» water. David was pleasant enough but the dialogue between himself and wife (?) was very peculiar. I sense ADD or something «off». I purchased 1 gallon mineralized water in a glass bottle and proceeded to get it home to test it for some basic properties. In an acidic society that is suffering from a vast array of health issues, I expected a lot. Well I was disappointed. The water tested electropositive (oxidizing, e.g. rust inducer) to a higher degree than tap water. The pH was comparable to tap water so definitely not alkaline enhanced. Therefore it does little for the body to correct acidosis (a common condition that harbors and promotes ALL diseases). Total mineral content was lacking as all of the useful, healthful electrolytes had been stripped out. You can’t evaluate quality water by taste or smell (are you kidding?!) but need scientific test apparatus to evaluate multiple parameters. There is no secret «mineral sauce» that can duplicate what Mother Nature has so carefully designed. However, there are sites around the world and technologies that mimic what was the original water design. Must not try to fool Mother Nature.

I read all these great reviews about how friendly the owner is but i just don’t see it. I have been coming by this place for a couple years and i have never seen him be friendly. Last time i was there i was the only person in the store. He was on his laptop sitting by the register and looked up at me as i walked through the door but didn’t say a word. In fact he never said a word to me the entire time i was in there filling 4 5-​gallon containers. Just kept up on his computer… when i went to pay, he grunted ‘thank you’. at least i think that’s what he said.
Sorry, you all like his dog but I am grossed out by this enormous, hairy dog in the water store. The water tastes fine but I’m just waiting to cough up a hairball someday after drinking water from here.

Great concept for a business. I appreciate what this business is doing for the city of Huntington Beach by making good quality, affordable, non-​toxic water available to the public. They sell reverse osmosis water for 40 cents per gallon and the premium mineral infused reverse osmosis water is $ 1.50 per gallon. I chose the mineral water, and it tastes great. The gentleman that runs this location is very passionate about his water and I appreciate that. The rates are good and he is always more than accommodating about his h2o knowledge

Not a big fan of this place. The guy running the store doesn’t seem attentive about customer service and the water doesn’t taste as good as the place I normally buy my water. Yes, water has a taste to it. Thought I was buying Alkaline water which they name The Good Stuff, but to me, it tastes like filtered Brita water. No thanks, going elsewhere.

Location, convenient, clean and friendly! The owner is super friendly and helpful. Definitely our neighborhood water store. He ask carries alkaline water and his prices are reasonable.

So I came during normal business hours and was far more impressed with their product and service. The staff was friendly and place was super clean, unlike the water store by Stater Bros (looks more like a meth lab run by a retired Hanoi Jane). I liked the sanitation area for you to clean your bottles and the faucets filled my bottles ridiculously fast.
They have an assortment of household products to filter water from your sink faucets and shower heads. They even have fermented tea, if you’re into that kinda thing. I upped my rating to 4 stars, leaving off one star for the slow and dysfunctional outside after-​hours dispenser (maybe it needs a good flushing out with some fermented tea).

after being broke for weeks, the outside vending machine has been fixed with some radically changes made.
price has now increased to 30¢ a gallon, but has dual capacity.
buttons range from 5 gal to 1 gal making filling up a shit ton easier and faster.

Awesome place and Dave was super nice and friendly! For the «Really Good Stuff» you can’t beat the price $ 1.50 a gallon. He is super knowledgeable.

Got water from Dave for the first time and the experience was amazing! Customer service was great and I will be coming here to get my water from now on. «Good stuff» is .40/​gal while the «really good stuff» which is alkaline/​electrolyte water is $ 1.50/gal. You could also get a customer loyalty punch card $ ¹²⁄₄₀ gal. You are a smart business man.

This water is no better than buying Arrowhead or some of the empty display water containers in his store deemed as alkaline water. What a ripoff! This water only measures to 7.0. Alkaline water starts at 8.5! What is this junk that he is selling labeled as alkaline water? It’s not alkaline water. It is just plain clean water. Don’t waste your money on this fake alkaline water. Ask him to test it and see what it comes back as? 7.0 ph not 8.5 or higher! What a scam he is running!

I love this store. I actually think about how much I will miss this store and the water when I move away from OC. I love the alkaline water! $ 1.50/gallon is comparable to other store’s prices and having the minerals added back is so valuable. Dave goes above and beyond by offering $.25 water outside and $.40 water inside (faster fill up plus cleaning). Same water though. He also sells health product I trust because I know he has vetted every company and wouldn’t sell unless it’s good stuff. I bought my LifeFactory portable glass water bottle there and I love it! This store is well kept, well run and I wish he would open other locations!

Absolute best tasting water in town. Isn’t that what you want from a water store? Hard working, knows his stuff owner/​operator, clean facility, nice additional products available too. We’ve been customers for many years & are completely spoiled. Nothing tastes as good. Can’t be easy to make a living selling water…

Love this place!!! I’ve been coming here for a short time and I’m already a customer for life, if something’s not broke why fix it is my philosophy. Dave the guy behind the counter is super chill and is always helpful! I’m also pleased that I’m NOT putting any more plastic water bottle waste in the landfills.

The owner of this place is a big douche bag. I came in to get some water and I wanted to clean my bottle, the owner told me I was not allowed to use the cleanser unless I buy the water which he has inside for 1’50 a gallon. Seriously?
The only reason why he gets two stars is because the outside water is only 25 cents a gallon and his store looked nice.

It’s a «water store,» but a darned fine one. Dave, the proprietor, is quite knowledgeable about not just water, but nutrition in general (and he’s quite an interesting guy to talk to, to boot). There’s plenty of spigots, and ample parking (he even provides transport-​carts for his customers).
With apologies to Penn & Teller, the water here (the $ 0.25 variety) really does taste better than the stuff that comes out of a typical Long Beach/​Signal Hill faucet. I just wish he still sold filtered-​ice…
