So I’m told by some of my friends from El Salvador that this place is the tits for good authentic Pupusa’s… And so it is, at least by my standards anyways and I’m sure the authenticity is up for debate. Well either way the staples that I’ve had included the following: Pupusa Revualeta? Altol, a rich creamy milk based drink made with corn meal and I’m not sure what else similar to a Horchata. Both very, very rich and delish! The clientele is 90% El Salvadorian and central American and this usually means good, the décor and location simple. Something definitely worth taking a venture on and trying something out of the norm.

Now called Don Juan Pupuseria. I still love this place. Today I had the dessert, empanada de platano. It was good. Just noticed they have loroco papusas because they finally made a menu. Will have to get some.

Évaluation du lieu : 4 Huntington Station, NY
Located in the left rear corner of a stip mall on Rt 110 in Huntington Station, it’s a long narrow restaurant with a huge selection of Salvadoran specialties. The Emanada De Plantano is definitely unique to here in the area and is yummy. Might want to crisp it up when you get home in a non stick skillet. The baked chicken with veggies was moist, plentyful and delicious. Both the beans and rice here are outstanding. Can’t wait to go back and try other items. They also have fresh juices by the register. Half a chicken, rice, beans and two empanadas for $ 9.00 can’t beat that anywhere.
