Sushi is very fresh. They deliver too. I ordered a big sushi tray from Kashi for Christmas eve as an appetizer and everyone loved it.

Best sushi place on the island. Great atmosphere you won’t find anything like it anywhere else. Me and my boyfriend have been going there at least once a month for the last year, we drive 45 mins to get there worth the drive. The food is amazing unlike anything I’ve ever had. The flavors cannot be compared to anything else. Besides that the staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. They accommodate anything you need we often call for a booth because I don’t like to be crowed in between people it makes me anxious and they always make it happen for us. They are so friendly and always have such big smiles on their face like they are so happy to see you and enjoy their jobs. We went last night for NYE and it was such a good time! You get the best food around very fresh, amazing drinks and you feel like you leave with new friends every time someone else waits on you.

Its a cool place. Nice lights. nice looking people, including the clientele and staff. They’ve created a nice space. Good place for a date. Service is nice too. Sushi was alittle pricey(it always seems to be in LI). overall it was good. I was most impressed with the overall experience and vibe of the place it had a cool, sexy buzz to it. The food was somewhat unremarkable. If I wasn’t too worried about spending some cash and had to impress a date, I’d come back

I came here on a Friday night around 8pm with a reservation that I’m glad I made because every table was taken. Very cool interior, kind of a club feel. Those cool Asians. My date and I ordered the Shrimp Shumai and the Tuna Tartar for appetizers and then about four rolls which were all really delicious, but altogether too much food. Three rolls between us would have been more than plenty with appetizers. Fresh fish and really amazing appetizers. Tip: When you order your green tea, ask for a pair of oven mitts to hold it with because A. There’s no handle(again, cool Asians) and B. It feels like a blow torch on your hands. Don’t say I didn’t warn you.

Found this location upon doing a search on Unilocal to grab a dinner before a show at the Paramount. Kashi is in a great location for the Paramount since it is right around the corner. We picked this place primarily on all the great reviews and it did not disappoint. Upon walking in I notice the décor is very lounge-y here and seemingly typical of many of the Japanese places on LI opening as of late(I know Kashi has been around for a bit so it seems many of the new places copy this look) — dark woods, colored lights. Not my favorite, but I have to say it worked well here — with comfortable booths occupying the relatively large space. I liked the open front of the restaurant that was perfect on this warm spring evening. We ordered a couple of drinks — Sapporo for me and Prosecco for my wife. That beer was ice cold and really hit the spot. The prosecco was a generous pour that completely filled a champagne flute — how the waitress did not spill this is a testament to the high quality service here. We tried the Yellowtail Jalapeño app and the Yellowtail was very fresh with the jalapeño adding just enough heat. It was a nice light app to start. We also split the Crab Meat Avocado Salad(Only photo I took — sorry I always forget to snap pics! lol) and we were impressed of pieces of actual crab(no imitation crab meat seem to be on the menu as other reviewers have mentioned), not exactly sure if this fresh cracked crab or prepackaged, but no matter, it works well here sitting on top of a half of an avocado with spicy mayo and soy yuzu dressing bringing it all together. Its a fun filling salad. We decided to split some rolls. We tried a couple of the special rolls — Out of Control and a Rainbow Brite, both rolls were good, but like most special rolls I feel the use of spicy or heavily flavored sauces tend to overwhelm them, but these were good with interesting textures along with their flavor. We also ordered a simple salmon and avo maki which was good, but the avocado piece was larger than Salmon — I would have liked to seen more fish but it was good as well. I also had a piece of eel sushi — the texture and flavor were just right. I think Kashi(and I presume the other two locations as well) is a solid choice for sushi with some interesting dishes not always found on most Japanese menus. Great food and service that is on point and not rushed make for a dining experience few would find fault.

I went here yesterday by chance and was extremely happy with the service, ambiance, food presentation and taste. Our servers name was kitty and she was on point! To start I ordered the cod and it came out like a piece of art. I reluctantly pushed my chopstick into it and it went right through! Great piece of fish cooked perfectly! As an entrée I ordered chicken and shrimp hibachi which came with vegetables and I asked for brown rice. The rice was the kind with seeds and tasted delicious with the light sauce and fresh white meat chicken and plump shrimp. The serving size was plentiful so I had some to take home since I ordered a sushi roll too! I ordered the takayama special roll. It had black pepper runs which is my favorite along with avocado, spicy tuna, one thin layer of rice and soy paper. The display and taste put this roll at the top of my list. The amiable can be good for groups or a nice date night. It’s quiet enough to carry conversation and is in a good area to go for some more drinks or shopping before/after. The service never lets your water run dry and they have good attitudes and smiles!

I’ve been dyinggggg to go to Kashi ever since it opened in RVC, and then when it opened in Syosset– never made it to either. Yet I randomly ended up at the one in Huntington last night, GOFIGURE. The one in Huntington definitely is smaller than the other locations, but we were seated right away(Wednesday night). Service was a little slow– took a little while to get water refills and the food; however, our waitress was really nice offering to let us split checks if we wanted and checked in on us often. What drew me to this place in the first place was their beautiful lighting and décor– definitely has a lounge-y vibe. I was mesmerized by some chandelier(?) that was hanging above me half the time lol, absolutely gorgeous. Food– I tried my friends tuna avocado rolls and some others I forgot the names of and loved all of them. However coming here without getting the rock shrimp tempura would be a mistake– it’s delicious!!! Though it’s an appetizer I was surprised it was sooo filling! Well worth my $ 10 for a unique dish. I’ll definitely be back. And I want to check out happy hour too– seems like good specials!

I gave this place five stars because the sushi here is awesome and the service is great. The staff is friendly and fast. There’s a bar and the atmosphere is romantic but also good if your going with friends. Also the location is cool too because they have several bars in the area :)

My girlfriend and I just LOVE this place. Two visits in the past two months and my new favorite sushi spot on the island. EVERYTHING is always extremely clean. Food, tables, bar, restrooms — just an A for effort on cleanliness. Waitstaff is fast and attentive, food is scrumptious!!! They know how to leave a couple alone when they are talking and not to RUSHRUSHRUSH anyone. On our second visit it wasn’t crazy busy, but we were sat at a small table right in the pathway to the sushi bar/restrooms. We saw it wasn’t very busy, and it was past 8pm and we asked to be sat in a booth(normally for 4−6+ people. The waitress kindly said of course, picked up our drinks and brought us to the nice large table where we had more room and privacy. Just A+ on the food, service, cleanliness and DRINKWEREAWESOME! Not weak and pedestrian! Will be back many times over!

Hubs is still drooling over the tuna sushi… and that Rock Shrimp Tempura is mighty tasty! Gyoza was beautiful and everything that passed my lips was DELICIOUS! Drinks are priced reasonably and tasty, not that strong, but tasty nonetheless. Not sure if this would be my GO-TO Sushi/Japanese place, but when in the area I will came again. Service was spotty — while yes, they were helpful when there was a soy sauce mess on our table, but our waiter NEVER told us the specials that I overheard from my neighboring table(again, I always think tables are WAY too close together in sushi places & i’m an average weight!) and well I know we would have had the oysters special and one of the special Valentine drinks sounded yummy, but I wouldn’t know… Food 5 Service 3.5 Décor 3.5 — minus a point for small chairs/tables/cramped together.

Eh! Don’t know what the hype is! It’s located off the Main Street, if they didn’t have this huge sign next to the parking lot, you’d never find it or notice it. Went there with an associate for a quick lunch on a weekday. No one there! It was dark, took a booth… there was a drunk regular at the bar and I saw maybe two waitress’ dressed exactly the same. White shirt, tight black skirt and both with pony tails… I felt like I was in a mall cafeteria in Taiwan! Ordered quickly! Had fried wontons on guacamole, some duck dish, and two other things I can’t even remember… that was the experience… non memorable! I even recall the waitress laughing at me when I ordered the meal and said it backwards! My bad… maybe your bad too! So, it wasn’t bad food, but nothing special! There are sooo many choices in Huntington Village… won’t be going back for blah blah blah! I heard that their New Syosset location is worse as their entire staff is bussed in from Flushing, no managers, just an owner running the place. I heard you can hardly understand their broken English and blame you when YOU order wrong. WTF!!! Need a Dim Sum place or a Shao Lung Bao place in Huntington! Was nOT cheap either!, No Thanks!

Great service and decent prices. I came here for my wifes birthday and had an amazing time. We had a table of 4, made reservations of course and were seated promptly. Drinks came out instantly, appetizers also came out in a timely fashion. We had the Angry Dragon, Out Of Control, Lobster King, 3 Tuna, and another roll. All fresh and delicious. I would recommend all the above rolls, the rockin shrimp and thr crab cakes are also amazing, for desert we had the red bean ice cream and the fried vanilla ice cream, both very delicious. A+ in my book!

Great service, the manager was quick to change our table and accommodate to a larger table even though it was only me and my wife. The tuna carpaccio(roasted garlic with aioli sauce), spicy edamame, and salmon tartar(chips, guacamole, salmon tartar with caviar on top) were great appetizers. My wife had the pacific southwest roll(salmon, spicy rock shrimp tempura, topped with salmon, avocado on a mango salsa sauce) was amazing! Very fresh and great combination of flavors. I had the tricolor sushi(3 pieces tuna, 4 salmon, 3 yellowtail, and a spicy crunchy salmon roll) and a spicy tuna hand roll. Everything was fresh and tasted great! It came to about $ 85. Definitely coming back soon!

Having tried their second location in Syosset, we decided to see if the original was just as good. Quest solved– every bit as good with service to match. We wandered in early– before the dinner rush as is our won’t, and were immediately seated by the friendly hostess. Right after, a nice waitress came over to explain the specials and recommend a drink from the menu. A sennenju for the mad Russian and a Saketini for me. Both came out promptly and were delicious. To start we had a couple of bowls of Miso soup– good and just that– good. Not too hot or too cold with a taste like you would expect. We followed it up with the blue crab fajita, a duck wrap, and the standout– the Kashi Sashimi. The sashimi was a beauty to behold– the presentation a work of art. As with the looks, it had fresh taste to match. I was lucky enough that my lovely date was willing to share. All told, we had an excellent lunch and did not break the bank at $ 84.00. being lovers of good sushi and sashimi, I’m sure we will be back soon

Having been to kashi over 20 times in the last couple years I can honestly say the sushi is consistently delicious. Some favorites are the paradise roll, sweet 16 roll, and sunset blvd. The rock shrimp tempura and shumai are also yummy. The drinks are good too although I usually stick with the«voodoo juice» so I can’t really speak for the other drinks. Service is pretty consistent although I had an incident last week where the fried rice didn’t come out until about 20 min after the other dishes. Not too big of a deal. Trendy atmosphere and consistently great sushi makes this one of my favorite spots in Huntington.
