Shoreline Beverage

Store has a great selection. Owner is just a miserable person. Terrible businessman. Shoreline had a great owner when the store was a few blocks north of 25A. Current owner pales in comparison. I no longer give this store my business and I dissuade others from frequenting it as often as I can.

Definitely one of the better beer distributors on Long Island. They post new arrivals on Facebook and BeerMenus and actually get some highly-​regarded stuff, which really, only a few beer distributors on Long Island do (HBS, Syosset, and Universal are the only one’s that come to mind. Beverage Plus on edge of NYC/​Nassau does too.), including Pipeworks, limited-​release Westbrook stuff, and Grimm. They also typically have a solid growler station line-​up. They also have coupons pretty frequently, which you don’t see much at the other craft-​oriented distributors. They were one of very few store’s who got in the most recent shipment of Marshal Zhukov’s. I even bought Rosso e Marrone here, so this place definitely has someone who likes good beer placing their orders, which is much appreciated and needed in the area. They also have a really solid import selection, though a lot of their beers, import or otherwise are severely dated. Check dates when you can. I only wish they were a little closer, my two nearest distributors are not very good, to put it lightly.

The owner was generous enough to let me leave my car in his parking lot overnight during the 2016 blizzard and not barricade it in when the plows came. It was very generous of him. Hooray for good beer and good people !!

Friendly atmosphere with an amazing craft beer selection. They have more than 20 craft beers on tap to fill your growler with. Worth the drive over.

I had been going here for sometime now but will never go back as over the last few months the owner and staff have been so rude. I now give my business give my business to Harbor beverage about a mile north. The staff is so nice and the selection is very good.

$ 60 poorer but isn’t wealth just a matter of perspective. Armed with some knee deep, southern tier and evil twin, my man fridge feels whole again.
This joint is fairly priced and armed to the brim. I was very pleased. Could easily go head to head with some of the distributors in Brooklyn.
Now I just need to find more excuses to drive 30 minutes to Huntington once every few weeks. Brunch recommendations anyone?

I’m in the area every so often, for music events, though i do not live close, We had purchased a groupon for $ 7 for a $ 15 credit, we asked the clerk for recommendations apparently they recommended their expired stock. we came in and ended up purchasing well over $ 50 worth of beer, that evening when we started having a few drinks 90% of all of the beer we purchased was expired, we will not be returning

I’ve been coming to shoreline for years, if your in the Huntington area it is easily the most organized, best priced and has the widest selection of any distributor around. They honor local coupons as well as dishing out great deals of there own. I’ve had a great experience on all fronts, growler fills, ordering a keg for a party, trying to sit back with a nice sixer of craft brew, or just picking get up a case of PBR for the weekend this place has it all.

This is an old reciew that I forgot to post from June 2014:
My husband went in today with two $ 7 for $ 15 Groupons for Shoreline Beverage. I had bought him a few for Father’s Day and, according to «My Account» on Groupon’s website, both had not been used yet. Hubby walked in to Shoreline feeling like he was cheating on his usual brew supplier, and was impressed by Shoreline’s selection and competitive prices. Unfortunately, he was mistreated so badly at checkout that we will never give Shoreline our business again. Apparently, according to the owner’s records, one of the Groupons had already been redeemed. Fine — but as I stated above, we had no record of this per the Groupon website; and, it’s worth mentioning that there has been a recent trend of «Groupon hacking» in our county whereby hackers have been redeeming Groupons that do not belong to them. In any case, the owner responded by treating my husband like a common criminal conman. He shouted at his clerk waving his hands wildly, «No! No! He has to pay full price! The Groupon’s no good! He already used that one!!!» To which, my husband calmly explained that I had bought him two and he had the other in the car that he could try. I was seething when he returned to the vehicle to get the other Groupon and blamed me for using the first and forgetting. I immediately checked on my Groupon app and verified that it was never marked «used». For the record, I personally have never set foot in Shoreline. …Anyway, the owner begrudgingly took the second Groupon and barked, «Yea, this one’s good» and followed it up with «I can’t wait for this Groupon sh*t to end. I’m sick of people coming in and spending exactly $ 15 or less! I lost so much freakin money cuz of it!» –WHO TREATS CUSTOMERS LIKE THAT??? What right did he have to treat a CUSTOMER like a criminal!!! Shameful. Furthermore, businesses AGREE TO OFFER these deals through Groupon so… the owner of Shoreline has only himself to blame his poor profit returns.
Now, I use Groupons at my local hair salon, and they treat Groupon as a way to advertise and get new clients in the door. For existing clients, it allows clients a chance to try a new service or new stylist. Point is, Groupon redemption is a positive experience and viewed as a chance to «Wow» clients to want to return for more. Shoreline Beverage OBVIOUSLY missed the boat — the OWNER’s service and tact was SO DEPLORABLE that neither of us will ever step foot in Shoreline again! My only regret is that we didn’t post this the moment hubby stepped out of the store.

One of the best, if not the best, beer store on Long Island. They have great customer service and a huge selection of bottled beer as well as about twenty drafts to fill up your growler with.
This is THE store to pick up beer when you’re in the area.
EDIT: I recently found out that Shoreline offers a mix-​a-​six program which allows you to build your own six pack. The services and goods here are simply outstanding!

This store is a beer geeks paradise. The growler station is pretty amazing. Lots of local beer at the station. The staff is eager to turn you on to their flavors of the month.
Great selection of micro and imports. Lots of great beer on their shelves. Prices are on point.

Ridiculously good beer selection. Especially the hard to find beers. Lots of Evil Twin, which aren’t easy to get. Like them on facebook and get $ 5 off, same for signing up for their mailing list.
Lots of growler fills on tap. Their website is updated with whatever they have.

If you want something, they got it. If they don’t they will get it. So many things that I want to try.
Love the growler station and the choices. You can download an «app» which shows what they have on tap each day. Prices are very good too.

Beer selection is great. Growler station is great. Promotions are great.
For a beer distributor, they’re a bit pricey on the domestics. I’m a craft beer fan — so unless they have any coupons, I tend not to come here.
If you’re a craft beer fan, you get the kid in the candy store effect and want to buy everything. They have a ton of seasonal and rare finds. Sign up for their email list to find out what’s new and to participate in promos.
Apparently they deliver, too. Although I haven’t actually tried that service out yet…

Best selection of beer I’ve seen anywhere. If you’re a beer connoisseur, this is your place.

STILL the best beer distributer around (BY FAR). They always continue to update the selection, bring in new and interesting growler choices, and simply put, if it’s not on their shelf, they’ll do their best to see if it can be made available.

An amazing selection of beer. And thankfully, they even have some stuff that you wouldn’t expect to be on the shelves.
The service was extremely attentive as I knew what I was looking around for, but multiple workers asked me if I needed help.

Everyone who works there is super nice and incredibly knowledgable about beers. Their selection is always changing, and is huge!
They scored major points with me by finding and ordering a rare beer for me, went wayy above and beyond!
One of the best perks is their beers on draft, they’re reasonably priced for 64oz growler, and they also offer 10oz drafts too, great sample size for trying different beers! Follow them on fbook-​they occasionally have half of growlers. They also have an app to see what’s on draft!

This place has a great assortment of beers from all over the world. They have the seasonal stuff that you would expect/​hope for in addition to more expensive bottles of beer from Belgium, Germany, England, etc. I agree with the advice to stay away from the dusty beers but if only because the selection is so expansive that it must mean those beers are on a lower rung than the rest.
The owner will give you a discount on the price if you buy a ton of beer but the other cashiers don’t seem to have that power or willingness. We have been here a few times to stock up on beer for the season and no one has ever asked if we needed help. Also, there is rarely anyone in here during the day at least.
If you are a person who likes to try interesting beers or if you can’t find your favorite beer anywhere else, this is the place for you. We come out from the city to go here, that’s how much better than other similar type places it is. Or rather, we can’t find another similar place.
