I haven’t had a single thing that I haven’t liked from this place. My favorite though is the Smoked Chicken Sandwich with their Home-made Potato Salad. Another favorite is the BBQ Pintos with Cornbread which is a special on Fridays. The staff is friendly and inviting!

Great smoked wings and some banana pudding that is the best I’ve tried! Customer service is excellent. Do yourself a favor and try this place. You will be glad you did.

This is, by far, the best BBQ around. It beats out everything from Huntsville to the Shoals. Slow wood smoked pork and chicken, with excellent smoke flavor. Generous portions on meat. I’ve had the pork sandwich and smothered potato with chicken. The potato is a thick medallion cut and fried, smothered with cheese, tomatoes and other goodies, with your choice of meat! I spoke with the owner, who is a very nice gentleman. Nearly everything here is homemade with some passed down secret family recipes. This man has a natural talent for good food. Honestly, I doubt I will go any where else for BBQ now except for here. I almost forgot, if you come down 72 in the mornings into Huntsville, from the Gurley, Ryland, Chase area, stop and get the BBQ biscuit! My wife and I ordered 1 each and when they handed me the tray I almost dropped it, as I didn’t anticipate these glorious things being so heavy!

Pulled pork was better than Gibsons or Lawler’s with a good smoked flavor and did not have that awful smell that BBQ can have. The sauce is on the side. The way it should be. Pulled/chopped chicken was good and could have been better if not for bone fragments and tendons. Restaurant layout is not good. Order taking and paying should never be in a corner where people paying should never have to double back on people at the door. Move the beverage station to wall of windows next to the condiments so cash register can be more accessible. Flow in and out of convience store is not as important as getting customers in and out through main entrance as well as handicapped patrons. The rough cut wood décor serves its purpose but not needed. Ribs on Friday supposed to be good. Breakfast menu looked appetizing. Most important are posting of business hrs. I was ready to write this place off because of going there twice with it being closed at 5 pm. It just happen to be open at 5 pm the day I went. The two menus in the restaurant do not match. There needs to be one menu posted next to main entrance, cash register and where people waiting to order can see it. The paper menu itself is confusing. Simply creating/organizing the menu into categories makes things much easier and faster to get orders placed and people seated faster due to where the case register currently is. Pricing is a little much for what I’m getting especially when sides are not all home made. For the owners, please pay attention to food cost and multiply by three to cover cost of food, overhead and profit. Don’t let my critique scare you away from some good food.
