I absolutely love double daves pizza; however, it is not worth terrible customer service. My boyfriend and I received the wrong pizza tonight so he called them to tell them. The lady on the phone said they would remake it. I got a call ten minutes later from her and she said she could remake it, but would have to charge us $ 6.50 because it is a specialty pizza. I said, «seriously? You are going to charge us $ 6.50 when you gave us the wrong order? «We ultimately agreed to pay the $ 6.50 but can honestly say this will be the last time we order here.

I had a really good pizza here once but today every variety in the buffet was oozing grease. Oily cheap sausage or pepperoni types predominantly– no veggie or supreme types that I saw. indifferent wait staff. way overpriced for my taste. I left.

I only rated 4 stars because my 5 star reviews somehow always end up in the «other» reviews. This DD’s deserves 5 stars! Food is great — much better than typical pizza buffets. We visited on Friday Oct 10 and liked it so much, we returned on Sunday Oct 12. We were in town for the Oktoberfest at Faith Lutheran Church. Anyway, Salad bar was fresh and full, even though it was busy, they kept things coming out. Pizza bar was great — nothing was too greasy, and a good cross section of flavors for different tastes. Sunday when we returned, the restaurant was busier than ever. We asked for special favorites to be put on the buffet. When they were ready, the owner came by our table with the things we asked for to give us first dibs, so we didn’t even have to get up and go to the bar. She did this several times. We tipped her for her excellent service! The bathrooms were clean, there were plenty of napkins, and paper plates were put out as backups when the dishwasher couldn’t keep up with demand. I hope we can drop in again next time we’re traveling through Huntsville. This location is by far one of the best I’ve been to ever! It was my parent’s first time to eat DD’s, and they are now believers too. They’ll also be back!

I don’t know if DD’s owner is reading the Unilocal reviews or what, but all of my criticisms have been corrected. The pizza buffet was fantastic the last couple of times I have been in. They have had a wide variety of pizzas and they are always good.
Oh, and they have gotten rid of the the nifty, but inefficient and unsanitary, soda machine.
I have been in twice since my negative review, and all my concerns have been satisfactory addressed. I am a fan again.

I’m a big fan of Double Dave’s so when I hear about one here in Huntsville I was quite excited. The price is nice, $ 9 for lunch buffet and a drink, but the buffet itself is bellow the standard I’m use to. Its a little smaller than others, but I’m okay with that given I’m in a smaller town. However, the turnover of pizza isn’t as good as other DDs either because less people are there. The other issue is the fancy coke machine… rather than a normal fountain with 6 – 8 choices, the machine is digital and can combine flavors (which is really neat), but means that people stand there trying to figure out what to get. Not only does this lead to a longer wait for your drink, but the line ends up running into the buffet (even if its just 2 people) so you end up having a traffic jam. All in all, the food is good, and I plan to go back. But there are a few things they need to do in order to ratchet this score up to a 4.

Food is OK. But service is HORRIBLE. Employees with lip rings and attitudes do not go well together. Not a pleasant experience at all dining in at the place. Definitely steer clear of their ploy to get money with the Touch Tunes music app… employees will skip music that you qued and paid for if they don’t like it.
