We have used Glenn’s for various events for a number of years. We recently attended a funeral in Huntsville. We recently called(again) and ordered an arrangement for delivery to the funeral home. We had picked a fairly expensive arrangement as the person was very close to our family. When we arrived at the funeral home, we saw our arrangement right beside the casket. It was a beautiful arrangement. We had asked that it be done professionally with very few instructions. The arrangement was beautiful and could not have been more pleased. No one likes funerals. Glenn’s helped make a sad occasion better and our compliments to them for providing excellent service.

I just bought an arrangement for a friend who’s in the hospital. I didn’t have time to call and order anything. I just walked in and looked through the cooler for something I liked. Fairly quick and easy! I’ve been coming here for a while and I’ve always been very impressed by what they have to offer. Flowers are definitely things you have to pay for quality. I’ve noticed if I pay for an arrangement on the lower end of the price scale($ 30ish) I’m going to get carnations instead of roses. Really $ 50 is a good starting point for an arrangement with prettier flowers(like roses and hydrangeas). I have been happy with the less expensive arrangements but if I’m buying flowers for someone I personally want it to be the first thing anyone sees in the room. That, understandably, takes a bit more money. Also, the time of year will affect the price and availability of a type of flower. Like finding daffodils in fall can be like finding watermelon in winter. You can probably find it but it might to be more expensive. The best thing I can suggest when ordering flowers and you don’t know what you want, go with a spring mix or a fall mix(depending on the season). They are really nice arrangements using seasonal flowers. It comes in handy if you’re sending flowers to someone who decorates their house with the season. If you need to be specific like, my mom’s favorite flowers are pink roses and I want a dozen for her birthday! I call a week or so ahead to make sure they have enough time to ship the flowers in. The front of the shop always has a lot of cute stuff. It really saved me last year for a tasteful last minute wedding gift. It was a really pretty glass cup that could hold a tea candle. It looked very expensive but it really wasn’t that bad.

Ordered a $ 50 arrangement over the internet for my wife’s birthday while I was out of town. She liked the flowers, but when I got home the next day and saw them myself, I realized the photo on the website(the one that I paid for) had about three times as many flowers as the one that was actually delivered. Had I been in town I could have picked something up that was much nicer at Publix for $ 15. False advertising.

A few months ago, I wrote about how I was having to keep up with the details of my mother-in-law’s birthday since my husband hadn’t even bought a card by the day of her actual birthday. Well, I shouldn’t have said anything because I recently found myself in a similar situation. It was 3 days before her birthday, but that coincided with Veterans’ Day, meaning no mail service on the day it should have been sent. So I did the only thing I could — googled florist for Huntsville. Glenn’s was the first that came up. I did recall the name from my childhood, but I didn’t remember where it was. Didn’t matter however, because the online ordering made it easy. And they have same day delivery, even on Saturday. I got my mom $ 50ish arrangement of lilies, chrysanthemums, smallish sunflowers, and some kind of berry in a basket. The flowers were beautiful and lasted quite a while, still being pretty enough 10 days later when we arrived for Thanksgiving. It’s a nice basket, and well-weighted, so she’ll be able to use it for something else. My brother also sent flowers, as he does every year. Apparently they come from a different florist every year, and they’re not as sturdy as Glenn’s. So mom has instructed me to just call and work it out with my brother to order from Glenn’s for future years. #Yelp365 — 328⁄365
