Had a great dinner tonight. Halibut with a beet salsa– who would have thought? Great wine, great service, very enjoyable entertainment. I also loved Scott’s suggestion of the limoncello cake. We will be back

Luciano’s was a favorite of ours for years, good Italian food, nice atmosphere, and not too pricey, sadly it closed for a few years and in its place were some lousy overpriced experiments like«Brix» but we then saw they re opened and were very excited to eat there again. We went a few weeks ago, it looks mostly the same from what we remembered, we sat in the lowest area which is very nice. I was looking forward to getting the salmon which was normally was very good but unfortunately the waiter said they were out of salmon which was very odd and disappointing. I ended up getting I think a veal meal with a lemon butter sauce that was pretty good, my gf got the fettuccine alfredo which was good but the alfredo sauce was not as good as the excellent alfredo sauce I remembered. Overall our party had a very good time at Luciano’s and were glad they opened back up, the prices are very reasonable and you get a salad with your meal, I wish they had salmon and it is really inexcusable not to have salmon on a Saturday night but hopefully that and the alfredo sauce not being as good as I remember were just some teething problems from re opening a few months ago. We look forward to our next time eating at Luciano’s.

OK, this restaurant has been one of our favorites through the years… however it has morphed a few times and the last time we just weren’t interested in trying it when it was Junos because it didn’t sound like the ambiance we liked and the reviews were mixed. Last night on a whim we were looking for one of those little nooks to go to that was quiet and nice to celebrate my birthday. We did not want to go to a big chain place or anyplace noisy. When I looked on my iPhone and discovered this place was back as «Luciano» again I was definitely confused but called and asked them all about it and it sounded like what we liked before. They said they could seat us right away, so we went and ended up having a lovely evening! I had the Greek«Salad in a Jar.»(It comes in a jar and you dump it out on your salad plate and«Voila!» Just add the diced tomatoes and the dressing that comes on the side– Yum!) The fresh baked bread included with your entrée is excellent, and they will bring more if you want it.(I am a bread person :-) I decided to try the Filet Mignon with mushroom demi-glacé which came with these sort of swirly fried potato things they call«sidewinders.» At first I was skeptical and thought«WHEREISTHEPOTATO?» but then I decided to go for it, and they were delicious. Last, but not least, was the Limoncello that was absolutely the best lemon dessert cake I’ve ever put in my mouth! Yum! The ambiance is classy casual(you might want to dress up a bit but no coat or tie is required) — go all the way if you are in the mood to do that and it would be perfectly fine. It’s a very nice place to celebrate a special occasion or meet up with friends for a nice dinner. The wine list was good enough for our taste and we had excellent service throughout the evening. We will definitely go back and we recommend this place ASAP because they NEED to stay in business so they will be there next time we want to go… Is that selfish of me? I don’t care! Go soon! This is a place often overlooked. This place has moved and changed names a few times over the years and I think it is evolving into a restaurant of unique and nice character. It is big enough and yet cozy enough. There is a baby grand piano and a Sinatra-like singer performs on certain nights. Definitely it is a step up from many common restaurants in Huntsville. You can’t go wrong with the flat bread pizza, a greek salad, and a glass of wine. Very friendly staff! Well done!

This was my first visit to the newly opened Luciano and it is just the first of many more to come! We had Sunday Brunch and it was delicious. The shrimp bisque was the best I have ever eaten and the quiche was delicious. The atmosphere is pleasant and the menu is varied with something for someone whether it be Brunch foods, Italian or German. On Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights there is live jazz music in the Wine Bar! What a wonderful addition to the Huntsville restaurant scene! Another fabulous Schrader restaurant!
